"They are Nymphs, water Nymphs." Vincent smiled ruefully. The food served itself easily and Vincent picked at it watching them eat, he sent a silent command his crew and they slowly came onto deck. They were small and timid. They were very quiet and had their heads bowed and when the girls started to finish.
"Aimee, Lilly this my crew Water Nymphs. A design and creation by me and then helped developed by Luna." They were in theory Vincent's and Luna's children.

Lilly paused and stared at the Nymphs, a forkful of noodles half-way to her mouth. They looked exactly like something she'd painted a year ago, for an art show. Well, what do you know? I'm not as original as I thought. It was uncanny. Aimee smiled at them.
"They're adorable. You're adorable, sorry. Do you have names?"
She turned back to Vincent.
"Can they speak English?"

"They don't, not yet at least. French, German, Spanish, Italian. They have been hiding in the Mediterranean for the last thousand years. My last masters found out and tried to hunt them to extinction." Vincent motioned to them, only ten total. That was all that was left of the hundred Luna and he had created. He couldn't make anymore either, Luna's power was what kept them stable.
"This is Zies, Lena, Usela, Mica, Kleis, Inen, Hazel, Jazz, Cisda, and Fallan. Girls this is Lilly and Aimee." They all brightened as they realized that this was their father's new Master. They had the bluest eyes you've ever seen, small girlish forms. That's where the human resemblance ended. Tails and fins for ears, they had gills just below their jaws.
"They are very mischievous and powerful in their own right. Those sirens you speak of, well that's them using glamor to lure sailors to their deaths. They won't harm you, but they may get up to some games if you are alone." Vincent chuckled as the Nymphs started to giggle and then he shooed them away.
"Well then you two know more about me than any previous. Should feel special you should." Vincent laughed as he sipped some of the wine down.

"They're very adorable."
Lilly wouldn't stop staring at them. It was the weirdest thing.
"What do you mean, games?"
Aimee grew slightly worried at that word. "Games" when used in context of adults was rarely a good thing. She nudge Lilly, making her blink and come back alive, almost.
"What? Special? Oh, yes, of course. Extremely, actually. Yeah, why is that, exactly? That you've told us so much about yourself? I mean it's nice, but kind of weird."

"What games do you think I mean? They are shapeshifters, manipulators and very good at what they do. They have the same sex drive as I do, scratch that, as almost all of us older demons have. So if you don't mind, play along, they won't bite... hard. If not don't be alone." Vincent laughed as the Nymphs looked back hungrily.
"They feed off the same sweet nectar I do, except they swing both ways, like I used to." Vincent let his chair fall back down onto the deck at Lilly's question.
"Because it has been centuries since I've opened up to. Let's see, Leo was the last person. Remember how I said I swung both ways. Last male." Vincent smiled ruefully again.

Aimee gave the Nymphs another considering look. The shape-shifting aspect of them intrigued her to no end.
"'Very good at what they do.' And what's that?"
The girls laughed.
"You and Da Vinci? Really? Hm. I'm trying to picture you and him together."
"Perv."
"A girl can dream, can't she?"

"Being mischievous. They've lured thousands of sailors to their death, for fun. They are just like that, got it from their mother." Oops. He let that slip out.
"Oh and why not, he was very effeminate, very passionate. He kept a wife and had a family, but I was his confidant, his secret. I kept him from going insane, at least I tried." Vincent sipped some more wine as the ship turned, one its own and faced the sun set.
"We are all pervs deep down. I have seen the human race grow from the primitive to the hedonistic, to the advanced. I saw some of the first bestiality, homosexuality and perversions on this planet. Once and a while let your guard down and do the first thing that comes to your mind. Disgusting, weird, interesting. I'm not gonna judge, Lilly might not judge and ******** the rest of the world." Vincent poured another glass of wine, he was actually letting it enter his system.
"Oh and if you want, Lilly, we can call Zies up here so you can see instead of dream. Zies has Leo down pat." Vincent laughed lightly at the thought.

Aimee cocked her head to one side.
"Mother? You didn't make them yourself? Who's the female figure?"
Lilly pushed her empty plate away from her and capture her half empty wine glass.
"I'm fine. I have a very...active...imagination."
She winked and sipped the wine.
"Just because we're all pervs deep down doesn't mean that we should act like it."

"Luna." It was short, simple and to the point. The tray of food started to move away by itself, but then Vincent snapped his fingers and Usela was seen to be moving it herself. You could tell which was which by the tattoos on their body. They were unique.
"You can show yourself now little one. No hiding from these two." She nodded and moved away, her tail flicking back and forth in annoyance.
"Your right, but I think between the three of us, let the perverse come out. Explore yourself. I encourage that." Vincent smiled as he watched the sun dip underneath the horizon. The ship orientated itself and the massively full moon began to rise.
"To you Luna, shall you ever shine brightly." Vincent stood, walked to the edge and poured a measure to of the wine to the sea.

"To perversions."
Lilly raised her lone glass into the air in a mock toast. Aimee left Lilly at the table watching the Nymphs with interest to join Vincent at the railing. She wrapped an arm around his waist and leaned her head against his shoulder, looking up towards the moon.
"You really loved her, huh?"

"You have no idea. This thing between you and Lilly, it is cute, nice. You'll love it, love is just that. When you find your soul mate you'll forget what love feels like. Because it isn't like love. It's much more. That person becomes your connection to the world. You'll see." Vincent drank the rest of his glass and refilled his and hers.
"For now though Aimee live in the here and now, don't look to the future, don't look for that soul mate, because you will miss him or her. I miss her, but I will never look back. I had more time with her than any human will ever have with their soul mate. So I have lived every moment outside that jewel to the fullest and with no regret." Vincent turned her so he could kiss her hard and then let her go.
"Let's go get Lilly, go get on that massive feather bed and see what happens." Vincent turned away from the rising moon.

Aimee wished she could've seen Vincent when he was with his girl. But hey, if it can't be, then it can't be. She glanced back up at the moon, an impartial mistress before turning and joining Vincent to go collect Lily. Lilly, for her part, was trying to converse with one of the Nymphs (from her tattoos, it looked like Usela) in badly pronounced Italian. And if Aimee were a betting woman, she would've said that a good deal of Lilly's "words" were nonsensical as well. She smiled.
"Had enough of her yet, Usela? Come on, Lilly. Vincent wants to show us something nifty in bed."
Aimee giggled, feeling like an idiot for saying "nifty."

"Yes you can play with my children later, they aren't going far. Now let's go to sleep and then be up for tomorrow. The ship should be pulling close to the College by then, well at least to the stretch of land close to the college. Still a fifteen mile drive inland." Vincent pulled Lilly up gracefully, wrapped an arm around her waist, an arm around Aimee's waist and actually walked for once to the twin double doors. He opened them and let go of them turning around and crouching down. Zies was there.
"Go ahead and get comfortable, just passing out instructions." Vincent leaned in and whispered in a complicated and quick tongue. It was the language he and Luna shared and taught their Nymphs. Zies turned and skipped away giggling and Vincent shut the doors behind him. Massive bay windows looked out on the calm tranquil ocean behind the white ship, just the barest of trails told them that the ship moved.

Lilly looked disappointed but went along easily enough with the other two. Aimee and Lilly exhcanged a look as they started to get undressed for the night when Vincent began to speak to Zies; his language almost didn't sound like it could be vocalized by humans at all. Half dressed in just a long tee-shirt, Aimee paused and stared out at the dark ocean, barely discernible from the horizon since the sun set.
"It's so beautiful out there. Sad to think it could snuff out your life in a matter of moments."

"I know the feeling, I have been that feeling." Vincent lay down on the feather bed and sighed as his uniform melted away into just silk boxers.
"I wish you could feel what I feel when I am in that water. Power, unbelievable power. Enough to wipe every human from the face of the planet. To flood the world till even the tallest peak is under water." Vincent closed his eyes as he felt the water around him, could feel the approaching storm and with a push watched that storm move south instead of North. His sister could have done it with half as much force.
