axels eyes where wide, he hadnt ever heard those words, nor did he think he could pronounce them all as he did, the sheer number of the words made his eye twitch.

"Thank you" Fen said giving a smile to Ryoko. Fen went into a daydream for a minute. "My mom taught me all kinds of songs....we even sang 'Can you feel the love tonight' in japanese." Fen looked down for a second. "I miss my mom....Axel, can I ask you something?"

Ryoko didn't remeber ever having parents and felt sad. He then shook his head and looked at the ground again, trying hard not to cry.

"Can you honestly say that any of your master have treated you nicely?" Fen asked curiously then looked toward Ryoko. "Oh! I didn't mean to bring up a sad subject, no one will think less of you for crying tho..."

axel understood the question pretty well, and he knew his answer, "only one," he said, this sentance was spoken more properly than other sentances, like he had said it many many times. his eyes suddenly seemed shaded by his grey hair, his ears still up.

axel nodded, he had been with many cruel masters, and with some masters, he had been hit for not talking. but sometimes he had been treated well for not talking, and with his favorite master, the one who had started teaching him to speak, had treated him, like all the other slaves, very nicley, but then he had died, and axel had been shipped off to a buying center where he would never see another master who was half as nice as that master.

axel had an idea to pass the time, he drew in the air, and suddenly there was a tic tac toe board, made of flames, and he drew an X in one of the corners.
