Kevin grinned at Rei sheepishly and then sheepishly at Mariah as she turned a questioning gaze on him.
"I'm antsy, huh?" She folded her arms over her chest and quirked and eyebrow. "What gave you that impression? Becuase i am not antsy."
They stood and satred at eachother for a moment. Mariah started to fidget.
"Ok, maybe a little bit..."

Ralef shook his head. "No, Sir, nothing that i can think of at the moment."
~
Bryan looked over his shoulder at the shivering brooklyn. He slowed down so that he was walkign next to the other and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. "Cold?" he asked, smirking.
The neared the the doors leading into the building, the same ones that Kai had gone through a few days ago.

Brooklyn scowled at Bryan. "Shut up." he said, moving closer to the Russian's body heat despite his words.
He huffed, discretely rubbing his arms to try and provide them with some sort of heat. "Will that building be heated?" He asked Bryan as they walked closer to it.

Boris nodded. "Ok then." He began to walk out of the room. "Keep me posted." He said as he left.
Kai blinked as he watched him go. Boris had seemed... distracted. He made a face at the door Boris had left by and winced. Distracted or not, he packed a punch.

Rei smirked. "So what's got you worried?" He asked the pink-haired girl. "Is it something in particular or just life in general?"

Mariah poked her tounge out at him. "I'll have you know it's always something in particular." She looked down at her watch. "Great."

"Tsk tsk, boy, that's one way to make him angry," Ralef smirked at Kai. "When your ready to be obedient, we'll start work on your appearance."

Taki wandered along the hallway. He reached his room and opened the door carefully, making sure not to wake anybody inside. Unless they were already awake, that it.
~
Bryan chuckled. "Maybe, or it might have stopped working just for you."
Kia called over her shoulder, "Even if it is working, we won't be staying in there, we're only walking through it. There's a lift for us waiting. Or should be."
Tala snorted. "And i guess you have your ways of knowing this?"
"Yep."

Brooklyn sighed in relief as they walked through the doors to the heated airport terminal. "How come you guys didn't feel the cold that much?" He asked the group, shutting his eyes and enjoying the heat that washed over him.
"When do you think we'll get to see Kai?"

Kai watched Taki in the doorway solemnly, not moving. He had his arms wrapped around his legs in the same position as when he had fallen asleep in the same chair many hours ago.
Kisa was still the same, sleeping very comfortably on Taki's bed.
~
"At least I don't act like his obedient dog." Kai retorted, standing up. "We better get started then, hm?" He asked, smirking. "May as well give you something to put in those hourly reports."
~
"What is it?" Rei asked, looking at Mariah, concerned. "It would be nice if you filled us in, you know." He said encouragingly.

Mariah looked up at him and grinned. "Actually it wouldn't and you'll find out soon enough. And i really need to go round up some people. Kevin," she narrowed her eyes at Kevin, "don't go back to sleep or disappear on me?"
Kevin rolled his eyes. "Yes, Ma'am." Mariah nodded and started to back out of the room. "Bye Rei! I'll see you sometime later today."

Ralef glared at him. "Just shut up and follow me." He turned on his heel and headed back out the door.
~
Taki blinked around his room and gave Kai a small smile. "Well, at least someone else is awake," he said quietly.
~
Bryan shrugged. "I come from Russia." Tala looked at Brooklyn over his shoulder, "I like the cold and i've been to russia before."
Kia reached the large glass doors that led out to the front. She held the door open for the boys as she answered. "Born and raised here, you get used to it."

"I like the cold too." Brooklyn complained. "I just don't like the cold that much."
He inspected his hands. "I think I got instant frostbite." He told Bryan, putting his freezing cold hands against the Russian's cheeks. "What do you think?"

Kai smiled back at Taki and stood up, stretching his stiff joints as he did so. "Hey." He said quietly
"How long have you been gone?" He asked Taki as he stretched the muscles of his neck. "I think I've cramped about every one of my muscles"
~
For once, Kai did as he was told, following Ralef quietly out of the observation lab. I wonder how they're going to stop me from telling everyone about Biovolt's operation as soon as I get out of here? he thought absently.

"Don't feel the need to tell me anything." Rei called after her. "I don't mind living in the dark." He sighed and leant against the wall comfortably. "Who needs that pesky knowledge thing anyway?" He asked no one in general.

Kevin laughed at Rei. "Try putting up with that all day."

Ralef lead Kai through the lab and out into the hallway. "Lucky for you, you get to be knocked out for the majority of the day and then wake up lokiing like," Ralef thought for a moment, "Well, what you're supposed to look like."

Taki shrugged, "An couple fo hours maybe." He gave Kai a loppsided grin. "It's a bad habit of mine waking up this early and i have nothing better to do these days but wander around." He sighed. "It's the only time to yourself you'd probably get around here."

Bryan jerked his head away. "It think you should not touch me with those blocks of ice." He grabbed Brooklyns hands and held them. "But i guess i could be nice and warm them up for you."
"Come on, lovebirds, i don't know about you but i would like to save Kai and go home," Tala stated as he walked through the door. Kia tried to contain her grin but failed.

Brooklyn smirked. "Just be glad we didn't start making out in the plane right in front of you." He called to Tala, grinning and slipping out of Bryan's grip to sling an arm over the redhead's shoulders.
"Don't worry." He said softly. "We'll get Kai back and this will all be over." He shot a look at Kia presuming that she actually is going to help us

Kai nodded. "Is there anything to actually do around here?" He asked. "I haven't done anything really for the past few days and I'm getting bored." He grinned. "Surely you guys have to do something for fun?"

"How long will it take me to recover from the surgery so I can go home?" Kai asked, looking around the hallways they were walking down. "Will I look exactly like myself?"
~
Rei groaned. "No thanks. I'll take my job any day." He sighed. "But seriously, do you know anything about what;s going on? Or is Mariah keeping it all to herself?"

Kevin scratched his head. "Or maybe not that involved."

Ralef sent a glare at Kai. "So many questions. Who says i want to answer them?"
He opened another door. "You'll look enough lik eyourself to fool anyone."

Taki's lip twitched, wanting to smile but he kept a straight face. "Well i could always go and capture your boyfriend for you," he said seriously. "I'm sure you'd have fun then," he smirked.

Tala quirked and eyebrow at Brooklyn. "I can't see you making out in front of other people though."
Kia raised an eyebrow at Brooklyns look. Bryan walked passed her and talked to her in her native language, "This isn't a trap is it?
She frowned at him. "Why would it be?" She asked and continued to walk. Bryan shrugged. "I don't know, you wanting to help us seems weird. You could be doing this for your own good"
She sighed. "Well, thats true, but doing that involves helping your friend anyways and i think we may need some extra hands."
She walked over to a car that was waiting for them. She opened the door and waited for them to get in.

Brooklyn smirked. "I'm sure Bryan and I could put on a show just for you and Kia." He promised the redhead as they walked back out into the snow.
"Jesus, it's cold." Brooklyn said, diving for the car doo Kia held open. "WARMTH!" He yelled as he quickly jumped into the car and shuffled over to let other people into it.

Kai smirked. "And I'm sure you'd lend your bed to us wouldn't you?" He asked Taki, raising one eyebrow. "Or would we be confined to doing it on the floor? Or in the bathroom? Or in a janitor's closet? Or in public?" He tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Now there's something we haven't tried yet."

"I don't care if you want to answer them." Kai told Ralef. "I care about the answers."

Rei sighed. "Can you just promise to tell me before something big goes down?" He asked. "I hate being left in the dark." He said quietly. "Why don't you two tell me anything anyway?"

Kevin nodded. "You know we will, Rei, you apart of this just as much as everyone else."
Kevin sighed. "I guess we don't tell you until right before something happens so that you don't let it slip accidently to, certain people."

"And maybe i don't care. Just get in." Ralef snapped.
The door lead to a surgery with a few doctors and nurses milling around, none of them the same as the ones that were usually with Ralef.

Taki shook his head. "I really don't want to know about your sex life Kai just as i'm sure you don't want to hear about mine." He stayed silent for a moment.
"And besides, i wouldn't let you use my bed anyway. That's sacred space right there."

Did i say car? I meant limosine type thing. Tala got in the car after Brooklyn. "Oh and i'm sure Kia and I would just love that."
Kia shook her head and smile. "They're funny." Bryan smirked as he got in. "I'm going to assume you menat that affectionately and take that as a compliment for them"
"As you do," Kia muttered as she climbed in after Bryan.

Brooklyn smirked. "Don't deny you wouldn't love it." He told Tala before looking over at Bryan. "Since when can you speak... Russian?" He hazarded a guess.
He frowned. "And what were you two saying?" He asked suspiciously.

"You were the one who brought it up." Kai reminded Taki. "But really, I was serious. What do you do when you're not out doing your commander thing. There has to be something fun to do around here." Kai said, raising an eyebrow.
"Or do you really just hang around your room moping all the time?"

"Great bedside manner" Kai muttered as he walked into the room, eyeing the doctors and nurses with trepidation. Where was his blonde nurse? At least he could always be guaranteed that she would try to be nice to him.
"Ok." He said. "Where do you want me to go this time?" He asked Ralef. He was getting rather sick of the constant lab shuffling.

Rei scowled and sat up. "So what you're saying is that you don't trust me, right?" He asked, a note of anger creeping into his voice. "You really don't think I can keep my mouth shut."

Kevin put his hands up in defence. "No! It's not that we don't trust you! We know what you do to help us, Rei, ans if he ever found out you know he'd do something to get it out of you."
He shook his head. "We know you'd never do it voluntarily."

Ralef glared at Kai. "See the bed? Move it." He turned to one of the doctors and told him that Kai was all his for the dayand that he'd just be an observer. The doctor nodded and moved towards Kai.
~
Taki opened his motuh and then closed it again thinking. "No, we just mope. We don't actually have the time to do anything fun, as you put it. I guess we socialise with the people we know, but thats about it."
He paused. "Or, in some people's cases, run around planning resistence movements.
~
Bryan nodded. "Russian, and i just said i came from Russia," he explained to Brooklyn, amused.
"So, what were you talking about then?" Tala asked.
"World Domination," Kia replied casually.
"And offering you two up for a sacrifice," Bryan said equally as casual.

Brooklyn made a face. "Liar." He told Bryan. "You know Tala's more than enough of a sacrifice. I'd just be a waste." He paused and considered it. "I'll hold the ceremonial dagger if you really want me to though..." He said after a moment's thought.
He eyed Tala, smirking.

Kai raised an eyebrow. "I could do that." He told Taki, walking over to the Russian and dragging him outside. "Let's do that." He said as he began to head down the corridor, not actually sure where he was going.
Still, it felt good to be doing something.
~
Kai raised an eyebrow at the doctor and stood still, waiting for whatever instructions this new face wanted to give him. Maybe after this I can feel like myself again? he thought. Could I just leave Biovolt and forget about the other me?
~
"It sounded like you meant it that way." Rei said, unwilling to let go of his anger. He sighed in frustration.
"I hate this, Kev." He told the green-haired boy. "I hate that you don't think you can tell me anything just in case if I tell Boris, whether accidentally or otherwise. I hate that I'm always the last one to know about things not by chance but by design."
He sighed and leant back against the wall. "I know I sound like a spoiled brat but it's true. I've given this resistance everything I've got and I don't even know how my information is being put to use."

"You know that's not true, we do use your information, or at least Mariah does. Everything you do is valuable to us."
Kevin sighed. "You don't have to if you don't want to, you know. You can stop helping anytime you want," he said quietly.

The doctor nodded towards the operating table. "Just take a lie down, go to sleep and you'll wake up new," the doctor said.
~
Taki blinked down at Kai as he allowed himself to be dragged. "Um, Kai? Watcha doin'? Do you even know where you are going?" he asked.
~
Tala mock glared at Brooklyn. "Oh sure, sacrifice the red head. And when you finally get to Kai, be sure to tell him that his boyfriend was sacrificed for the good of you 3's world domination plans."
Bryan smirked at the two and Kia rolled her eyes. She looked out the window and sighed as they went passed the steel gates. "Another couple of minutes and we'll be at the back entrance," she said to herself quietly.
