"I love you Lily," Kir said. He looked into her eyes. He was afraid. Of many things. He was afraid he was going to, one day, suddenly stop being Kir; like what almost happened just then. He was afraid of what Lily would do if that happened again. He was afraid of the coming battles.
Core looked up at Chiasa and smiled, "I know. I will. Thanks," He said.

"I love you, too, Kir," Lily said, feeling his fear and it added to her own. She moved her hands up so they were on either side of his face.
"Good," Chiasa said and squeezed his hand again.

Kir closed his eyes and returned the affection. He knew it was a bad place, but he wanted to make love to Lily right then and there.

Kir nodded and stood up with Lily, "There might be something already dead because of my voice...Actually, there is a mountain lion. It should still be warm. If you want it then you can have it," He said.

Lily found the body of the animal and knelt down next to it. She felt disgusted with herself as she began to drain the body of blood. Soon, it was empty and she stood up again.

"My voice killed it, and it wasn't using the blood anyway..." Kir justified it by making it his fault. Then he turned around, "Lets' get back."
