Tobu growls when he sees Bao.
Then, a moment, he seems startled.
"Wait, what? What student?"
He looks over to Iri, tilting his head.
"Where did Lina go? Whats going on?"
It was Ookamimaru who asked the questions, but Tobu was listening too.

"...Ransom? What a low expectation."
Bao tried to stop himself from laughing and succeeded. His opera mask showed an expression of happiness; smiling from one side to the other.
"Hhkk... So you heard that much from the conversation after Clough's demise? Or did my Left and Right arms mention something?"
He placed a hand on the opera mask's forehead and shook his head back and forth disapprovingly. He didn't answer the question about the students. She was right though. If his goal was to kill off the students, it would have been done by now.
"Tell me great Kaze Sensei, did they elect you as the next head of the Academy yet or not? Since you called them "your" students, now.
I'm getting anxious with these politics."
Bao lifted his head up and looked at Ookamimaru's transformation but didn't say anything about it yet.

"No, I didn't figure this was about financial gain. People are greedy, so it was a first thought, but it doesn't fit here. You plan on using the students for something. I just don't know what, yet."
She squints her eyes a little as she thinks. Something's sticking out here. Other than that, though, she doesn't move. And her expression stays the same.
"Yes, I heard you after Kansou killed Kaimen. And your lackies did slip up. I figure I'm the False Wind, but the Retired Librarian confuses me. As for the next headmaster, there's been talk of that. But why is it that you almost seem to expect me to be the headmaster? It's like you figured that would happen, though I have maybe a tenth of the experience of my fellow higher ranking nin. And you probably know that."
"It's Ren, Ookamimaru. His men have been after Ren. Lina just went to help him. And Tier's there, too."

A shock went through trough Tobu when Ookamimaru's mind pulled back.
Ookamimaru couldn't believe what he just heard, Ren was the first human he has seen in a very long time.
He was now only talking to Tobu, not wanting Iri to hear he's so upset.
Bao is after Iri and Ren too?
What are they gonna do, Tobu?
I don't know little one, probably nothing really good.
He sighed, but didn't break eye contact with Bao.

Bao didn't reply for awhile. He was pondering on his next words as a small wind rustled his white cloak.
"I'm glad you can't figure out who the Retired Librarian is.. it might cause some complications."
Bao had been staring at Ookamimaru's transformation.
"Hehehe. He held back, you know. How sad the lone wolf is until he finds his pack.
I noticed how none of you spoke words at all during the struggle. What an extraordinary circumstance.
...I didn't know Shinobi during this time period had the knowledge of telepathy. That wasn't a tested variable in my research, but I'll take a mental note for next time.
No pun intended, hehehe."

"Complications, huh..."
She blinks. A thought's come to mind. A possibility, really. And Bao gave her the hint. Whether he meant to or not is not clear.
"Time periods. You speak as though you aren't from this time period. Or that you know of others. So, might it be that you knew I would be headmaster, because you've already seen it happen? And that would explain why you know so much about us You really are a dangerous man."
Iri lets her hands rest at her sides. Chakra is building there. She's about to do something.
"What do you want from us, Bao Steel?"

Tobu notices Iri's up to something, but doesn't show he saw it, he keeps standing still, his tail smoothly going from one side to the other.
He doesn't know where they are talking about, but he is determined to come into action to protect his host's new protector.

"Hmphhmph. Your view of dangerous and my view of dangerous seems to be on the same level of thinking."
He gave a sideways glance towards the Tsuchi Dojo before he looked up at the full moon that was sinking in the sky. Bao looked back down to Iri and Tobu.
"I'll keep in touch. Have fun with your new Village, Ookamimaru-kun.
Hehehe."
A blue glow could be seen under Bao's feet after his hands shot towards the sky. Four walls made of rock spawned around himself. The walls started to twist and turn as they closed in on themselves. There was the sound of something inside struggling against the rock.
Eventually the walls had no more room to close in on and fell to the ground in pieces. Bao was gone with Ren successfully captured somewhere else. There would have been some kind of signal if the capture couldn't be completed, but there were none that showed.

Tobu sighed with big relief when Bao dissapeared.
He fears Bao more that anything, and he got his reasons.
Ookamimaru's mind, which was pulled back a bit to save his chakra, radiated the same emotion, but then went over in worrying.
Tobu responded to that by thinking of nice things, to try and ease Ookamimaru's mind.
He didn't really succeed his attempts, since he doen's think Ren could stand a chance to whatever Bao sent to him.

"How do you know of Bao Steel?"
Iri doesn't look at Tobu as she sends the mental message. Her violet eyes are staring at the spot in which Bao had been standing in the tree. As usual, she's expressionless. But she seems to be smoldering under her neutrality.

He grinned at the question.
"How I know him?
He's my creator, that's how I know him."
Ookamimaru's consiousness protested.
"Unlike most demons, I'm not old at all.
A bit more than ten years ago I was made, and put into a six year old child."
He shook his head.
"I've done some terrible things back then."

Iri quirks a brow and turns to look at Tobu. She doesn't bother hiding the surprise in her eyes.
"Your creator? Tobu, that's--"
Whatever she had been thinking gets disregarded. A new idea surfaces.
"Wait. How much do you know about him? Do you have any useful recollections? I hate to ask this of you, but he has Ren now. If we want Ren back, we'll need information."

Tier dismounted from tree-hopping from the Tsuchi Dojo and landed on the ground. He emerged from the trees to see a broken cave behind Iri and another being next to her. It was the thing that had flown out of the Rai Dojo. Tier didn't move towards them yet.

Lina dropped to the ground a few moments after Tier. She had a few new burns but otherwise looked about the same as when she left. Her yellow eyes looked at Iri and Tobu, then searched the immediate area.

Tobu shakes his head apologetically.
"I'm sorry, the only thing I recall is after the implantation, and even then, I can't recall any place at all, due to years of wandering.
He didn't give me or Ookamimaru any useful information, just in case things went wrong, which they did.
The thing I do recall are his eyes, terrifying snake-like eyes, hidden behind that mask of his.
He is very convincing, with talk alone, he can get almost anything done by anyone.
Also, he seems not to work alone, he works for this organisation, "Black Projects".
They aim in creating stronger soldiers, why, I don't know."
He notices Tier and Lina, but doesn't make any efforts to greet them, though he does want to know what happened to Ren.
