I've got his vitals up though; all's normal, so maybe there's some sort of interference or something." Brenda replied, her tone now very business-like, similarly to Bruce's.

Oracle's voice responds, "I actually made contact up there, and I'll of course I'll add you in to the teleconference I'm going to be conducting on I.O. I'm patching the main highlights on what we have so far."
Streams of info began to pipe into the Batcomputer about the I.O. base in the Nevada desert and their attempts on creating super powered beings (or SPBs) as well as their cloning technology...

Brenda pored over the data sent her way, and when she was looking through it all... A sort of anger that she rarely felt anymore entered her mind as she looked over these experiments... These were children, for God's sake...
"Bastards," was all Brenda said to Babs, and in that one word was enough loathing and determination to confirm that yes, Brenda was a Bat.

"For the record, I share your sentiment. I.O. needs to be stopped. I've compiled the full list of all the children I.O. has pulled from around the country. One hundred and forty six altogether," Oracle's voice rang through with the list of children and where they were from -- nineteen were from Gotham.

The intercomm from the Manor gates above rang from on the Batcomputer, and Starfire's voice plainly asked, Ummmmm.... Hello in there. Could you please be telling me, if you have a d**k in there?"

Brenda was about to respond to Babs, but Starfire's voice came over the comms; Brenda scowled immediately. The Starfire from her reality was... Unpleasant, to say the least, and given that she was an old flame of Brenda's husband... Yeah.
However, Brenda reminded herself that this Starfire might not be like the one she had known, and that the Nightwing of this Merged Multiverse was not her husband. She briefly exhaled through her nose, and accessed the intercom.
"Yes, he's here. Come in." she said, before switching back to Oracle; and she had heard Beast Boy asking if d**k was in the Manor or the Cave.
"Nineteen children from Gotham alone... Christ..." she said, and then said: "Yes Gar, Rich-- d**k is here in the Manor."
She again had to remind herself that she had to refer to him by his old nickname here; she had long since stopped referring to her husband as "d**k", for a reason even she wasn't sure of.

Grayson went down to the Batcave with Brenda already listening in on her conversation with Babara. When he heard Gar's voice over the comm and then looked back to the door. It sounded like Starfire's voice, he held a moment before wondering if he should run up and meet her, or let her in. No need to lose the door too. He was almost excited to know that sta-scratch that- more than excited to know she was alive and now at the manor. At the same time what Oracle wanted to tell them peaked his interest, not to mention Gar wanted to know if he was there... so he couldn't help but wonder if Gar wanted to ask him something personally.
"I'll come up and meet you Star, Garfield I'll be right back."
He said reaching over the intercom leaving the Batcave.
[Exit Grayson to Manor-For but a moment ;P ]
((College pretty much done for a few weeks so I'm going to be taking over d**k with Oncaro's permission. Thanks for keeping him up for meh Oncaro emotion_yatta ))

Oracle's worried voice spoke again, "Brenda, Kesshou just informed me that I.O. intends to euthanize the failures -- those kids that survive the procedure but fail to gain any mutant abilities. This is worse than I feared. Mind you these are the same people responsible for producing the 'programmed assassins' that's been killing Titans. And can you guys on the Watchtower read me as well? Anyway, we need to gather everyone that's available to bring I.O. down."
Brenda could hear the 'Bat's determination in Barbara Gordon's voice

"I'm ready to assist as well... And what about Kai, and the 3 Swampers. They could really help with this too. Brenda, is Kai healed yet from the Gotham incident? Is she still at the Manor?"
Gar said also connected to the same communication as Babara was.

"Kai? The girl with wings?" Brenda asked Gar. "No, she's not at the Manor, I have no idea where she is. The... Swampers? Those guys carrying guns in the Batcave? Dunno where they went either," she said. "I'm mostly focusing on the Watchtower at the moment, trying to raise Tim."

Gar held his hand up to his temple closing his eyes for a moment. Anxiety kicking in then thinking for a moment.
"Okay, Kai normally tells others if she goes out crime fighting... Considering she is a Batkid you should probably care a bit more Brenda."

"Maybe, but I don't actually know her; the only 'Batkid' where I came from was Ri-- d**k. Can't get emotionally attached to someone you don't know." Brenda said. "I'm sorry, if... If I sound callous. I've just got several things on my plate at once, and I don't have my husband assist me in managing this sort of thing."
And the closest thing to him is going to see an old flame... Brenda thought, another scowl on her face.
"I'm just... Still a little overwhelmed. I only arrived in this Merged Multiverse two hours ago, my husband's gone, there's all sorts of people I haven't met... Guh. I suppose this is what I get for retiring early."

"Oracle's tellin meh dat they found out where I.O.'s holed up, an' she's settin up a teleconference sos we be knowin what dey got and how ta handle dem," Rogue's voice rang through on the comm line.
Then Oracle's voice spoke up once again, "We almost have everyone here or online, so I'll be starting my briefing as soon as a few people are back from the store. Hey Cyclops, when are they coming back?"
Brenda could see the data on I.O. and got an idea on numbers: nearly three thousand personnel -- the majority being technicians and support personnel. Also, Batwoman (seems appropriate to call her that) could see several dossiers on numerous I.O. personnel including Ivana Baiul, Threshold, Drs. Summers. Furthermore, Brenda could see the various equipment they used, varying from military warplanes and helicopters to anti-gravity tanks and powered body armor....

Oracle began her official briefing on I.O., her voice echoing with the confines of the Batcave, "As I've already stated, International Operations has grabbed up one hundred and forty-six teens from across the country in order to resurrect the Genesis Project that had been previously shelved over twenty years ago. This current and most ambitious incarnation of this mutant eugenics program would be 'Gen 13.'
"The goal of Project Genesis is to produce powerful mutant operatives for government use in military and espionage operations -- referring to these forced recruits as 'assets.' I.O. treats these kids as little more than cattle to be used and disposed of as they see fit.
"The director of Project Genesis is a ruthless woman named Ivana Baiul. Ms. Baiul is an ambitious operative turned bureaucrat. Her file indicates that Ms. Baiul is a trained scientist as she is also a well noted operative for I.O. over the years. It is also noted in her file about her callous and sadistic nature, willing to use any means to get what she wants.
"Her second in command, Threshold, aka Matthew Callahan, is who you encountered directly in a fight, RC. Threshold is powerful telepath and telekinetic who's psychological examination seemed to indicate that he is 'a paranoid sociopath with delusions of grandeur.' Threshold is as brilliant and just about as sadistic as the Joker. In this operation, it is imperative that both Ms. Baiul and Threshold be captured.
"As far as Drs. Summers, RC already explained in detail what to expect from those two. Both doctors were personally recruited by Ms. Baiul for the resurrected Genesis to improve I.O.'s chances of success with manipulating the mutant genome. This doctor couple has already succeeded in cloning ... Starfire. The files indicate that they are raising this clone as their own child and training her in advanced combat techniques. Also, I.O. started to create human-tamarian hybrids in one of the lower levels of the base.
"Also of grave concern is that the former second of command of Stonewall is now working directly for I.O. This man is Jimmy Zorn, one of the architects of the 'agent conditioning program' used to brainwash people into becoming ruthless assassins with no qualms in killing or obeying orders without question. It... frightens me what kind of damage this man could do, if he gets a chance to implement his program on these kids.
"The Phoenix Base itself is maned by almost three thousand personnel -- mostly technicians and support staff. There is an elite cadre of former military personnel used by I.O. -- from soldiers recruited from Special Forces to combat pilots for jets and helicopters. This base is equipped with thirty-six Super Hornet jet fighters, twenty-four Blackhawk helicopters, ten experimental hovertanks, over a hundred powered armor suits, and a like number of robots taken and rebuilt from Brother Blood based on Cyborg's technology. Those of you who are not familiar, I can provide further information and specs on any of the equipment listed.
"Also of note especially for our resident Green Lantern up in the Watchtower, there is a piece of alien technology in deep storage that I.O. hasn't even tinkered with. This object appears to be a cryo-coffin with an unknown creature inside. From what I.O. has already figured out, this creature is the basis of a bioweapon cloned from this original creature. This 'Angel of Wrath' was targeted for destruction by an alien race known as Sh'iar -- who seem to be afraid of this creature whatever 'it' actually is.
"Any questions so far?"
