Xavier smiled, "Okay," he said. "Lets do it then." Making his comment sound suggestive on purpose, he raised his eyebrows and kissed her neck. Some kind of owl hooted in the distance, and after a long pause it continued to hoot. Xavier wasn't afraid of night, because in fact it was his favorite time of the entire day. So of course it didn't effect him in the least, but he wasn't sure about Summer. However, he continued to smile and hold her, snuggling her in a very loving way.

Esmeralda grinned. "Then let's get going, my darlings. Chris, you are strictly forbidden to kill Xavier until the end of the summer. Lili, you should come with me. We'll go find Roman and convince him to give us an alibi. After we've returned the tractor, of course. Don't forget your shovels and any compromising evidence you might leave behind!"
With those cheerful words, she hopped on the tractor again and drove it back towards the barn, grinning.
Roman had gone to the barn to visit with the horses again - more precisely, to check on Phoenix as well as on baby Ariel. Standing in the stall with the big stallion, he inspected the horse's legs to see if anything had come up - the horse probably hadn't been worked much in a long time, and he and Kahlilia had ridden for quite a while. Everything seemed to be okay, though. He grinned as the stallion nudged him curiously. "Yes, pal. You seem to have held up okay," he told the horse. "Lucky you, that means you get to work with someone else tomorrow."

Xavier smiled at her and kissed her back with full passion. The moon was starting to shine its blue-gray light through the trees and it was hitting them with its eerie shadows. He caressed her face lovingly and kissed her cheek gently, then heard the sound of a tractor. "F---," He cursed under his breath. "What're they doing with a tractor at this hour?" He sounded more confused than angry, but he also seemed very brusque all of the sudden.
"Okay," Kahlilia said with a nod. She picked up a hair scrunchie that had fallen from one of her jean's pockets and put it back in, inspecting it quickly to make sure it had not been damaged. When Esmeralda left, she flashed another tiny smile at Chris and after an obvious hesitation, she said, "Is Summer your sister?" She could imagine that after seeing the girl with Xavier, Chris would be angry. However, she had no siblings to provide any actual experience knowledge, so she learned from the others.

"Yes, Summer is my sister," Chris said to her, "I'm sorry for getting upset like that it's just that Summer always gets in over her head on somethings." He was trying to explain his anger earlier not sure if he had scared her or just made her uncomfortable.
Summer pulled away from him a confused look on her face, wondering how he could go from sweet and gentle to brusque all of the sudden. She didn't say anything about the change though and said to him, "We should go see what there doing with the tractor." She then pulled away from his touch and headed back toward the ranch.

Xavier nodded and followed her, walking quickly but not fast enough so that he might look like a threat. He was curious, and maybe this was just the appearance he took on in such a situation. Maybe, maybe not.
He realized Summer was a little surprised at his sudden behavior, and he was a little worried. He remembered how he had acted towards the others, and that was probably less than acceptable - what if Summer saw that, what would she do?
They were too far away from the barn, but Xavier could see the basic red shape of it from where he stood. He saw the tiny dot that was the tractor, but he could not depict who the driver was - which, in that person's case, was lucky.
Kahlilia put her hands casually into her jeans pockets. "Its okay," She said, "I can see why you would be." And then, with a flash of a smile and a wave goodbye, she trotted off to follow Esmeralda before Xavier would be able to come back to his room. The anger she had felt towards Xavier earlier still bubbled up inside her, but she figured they had done enough to him for the time being...
The girl put her shovel away in a place where it wouldn't be found anytime soon and entered the barn, hands at her sides. "Roman, Esmeralda?" She asked timidly, trying to confirm that they were in here with her and not someone else. Obviously, she didn't like strangers very much.

Chris nodded to her then walked to his room after hiding the shovel.
Summer stayed silent as they walked back to the barn, when they arrived the tractor was empty the driver having done disappeared, or at least that's what Summer thought. "I'm going for a ride you can join me if you want to," Summer said surprised at the hurt that was evident in her voice and for no reason whatsoever. She walked into the barn and saddled Shadow. She then mounted and galloped out of the barn at full speed without looking back. When she was a little ways from the ranch she slowed down and dismounted and walked and started thinking.

"Okay." Xavier said simply, getting more worried at the sound of her voice. He wondered what was bothering her - was it him? What had he done? Girls confused him greatly, especially here. Drama everywhere, he thought with a deep sigh. He decided to go back towards his room, letting a sudden sleepy feeling envelop him. He had been so full of energy, and then it went down the drain, and it became some sort of absurd cycle. What was happening?
Eh, maybe things will look better later, Xavier thought as he neared his room. Hopefully, at least.

Summer knew that she had confused him but she was confused to. Finally she got one thought into her head and it wouldn't leave her, I love him I shouldn't be mad or hurt by anything he does. I have to go apologize. With that thought she mounted and galloped back to the ranch. When she spotted Xavier going to his room she turned Shadow that way and pulled up shortly in front of him and dismounted, "Xavier I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me, can you forgive me?" she asked with a watery smile on her face.

Xavier looked up at her. Before he replied, he held out his hand to help her dismount Shadow and picked her up off of the mare quickly and gently. "You're forgiven," He told her quietly. "I really love you - I don't want to lose you." He noticed her sadness and wiped one of her eyes gently. Then, he kissed her sweetly and hugged her.

"I love you to and I really am sorry," she said smiling up and him and hugging him back. "I really don't know what happened out there," she was still puzzled by it but didn't say so. "So how about a midnight ride?" she asked him winking at him and grinning wickedly.

Xavier kissed her cheek. "Its okay." He told her, stroking her hair gently. He was glad they were together - he loved her so much...
"Sure." He replied, returning a suggestive smirk. "I'd love to." His hands lowered to her waist as he had done before and he smiled at her.

Summer chuckled then said, "I bet you'd love to," she then smiled and said, "Help me up on Shadow and we'll only take the one horse since she's already saddle." She then placed at hard kiss on his mouth and pulled away smiling.

Xavier kissed her back, and after she pulled away he picked her up and got her onto Shadow's back. He looked up at her to make sure that she was on right, and then he got on behind her with a smile. He wondered briefly where they were going to go, but he didn't mind because once again, they had their alone time and that was all that mattered. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her neck lovingly.

Summer took Shadow's rein's and sent the mare into a trot. She was heading in a random direction not sure where she was going to take them. She smiled when Xavier kissed her neck then said, "You keep that up and we'll never go anywhere." She leaned against him and turned Shadow into a filed and then galloped past the pond they were at earlier.
