Zain sat down, puting his sword over his lap as he looked at the desk infront if him. he didnt seem to hear what Resa said, just stared at the wood with an almost broken ach on his face.

he looked up slowly, meeting Kirai's gaze. " then this could have happened to others... some of my men could still be alive out there, traped in a personal hell?" selfishly he almost wished that it were so, he would give anything to see a familier face... but then his sanity snaped back into place had he felt like punching himself. it would be better that they had all died with honor than be stuck in a hell like he had been... what ever he had done to deserve it couldnt be pushed onto him. with a deep sigh he noded once, resigned. " what do your books say then... "

All they contain are bits of what could be translated from those origional documents. And you have realized at this point, these things occured about a thousand years ago? Kirai asked.

she had to bite her lip to keep from yelling. his mind intact? he didnt even look alive anymore. misery couldnt do that to someone could it... his eyes didnt even look the same as when he first awoke, they were so cold now.. hateing that he had to do this she put her hand on his arm, looking at the book.

closeing his eyes he sent his message back, not bareing to say it aloud. a life time stolen by those you trust.. hundreds of years passing you by. how can this be anything but a horrible night mare? some twisted joke of a dream demon... his thoughts cut off as Resa touched him, his eyes snaping open to stare at her small hand on his arm. carfuly he picked her hand up and sat it on the table, looking at Kirai with pale silver eyes. " would you beleave that your home, people.. even your closest hopes were long dead?"

Hopes, dreams and the future never even existed to me until about a year ago. The thought of friends or loved ones on a personal level had yet to surface. However, when a time came that it was gained then all threatened to be taken away, everything became pitch black. I feel for you, however.... Kirai looked at Resa, and managed to say softly in his language. "You still have one left..."

he shook his head, not even glanceing at Resa. "she is not my dream to keep.. of all my curse's ill know the gifts of others. if i try to keep her then we will hate each other for years to come... but if i let her go she will find her sould mate, be happy and live on.. " standing he picked up the book, stareing at the passage that caught his eye. quietly he read aloud, translateing it for Kirai as he did so. " known as only Zaein the betrayer.. this beast tried to kill our great city of Celyna, blood ran thick in the street's by the time the noble Oblin came to the heart of the town.. he called for the beast, and a great battle raged for weeks. nether hero nor beast resting until with the last of his strength, our hero Oblin forced the beast into a dark prisson.. blessed chains forever to hold a demon to evil for even hell to take.." his knuckles were white and he sat the book down, his fangs cuting into his lower lip as he growled. "Oblin.. he was the traitor.."

I could bring him back for you to kill him, if you please. However... know the most shallow of curses are those of hate. If there is one thing to live for, live for it. If there is one thing to die for, overcome and live for it. Kirai looked at Resa. "Don't worry about him, the best thing you can do is stay by him, atleast for now."

he understood that and shook his head, saying to Kirai as he backed away. " send her home.. her sister will be worried." he added the rest so only Kirai could hear. she will be safer.. if she is far from me now. they wanted a beast and they have made one. slideing his sword back threw his belt he cast them a last glance, bowing his head. " thank you.. for the good and bad..." he didnt look up again as he left, disappearing out of sight the moment after he passed the doorway.

Resa stood, blinking in shock as Zain left. "Wait... Zain.." her voice trailed off as she looked to the floor, her form wavering. her hair turned a purple color for a moment, in the blink of an eye she was normal again. looking at Kirai her tone was crest fallen. " i only want to be a friend.. he know's as well as i do that we arnt fit for anything else, but he wont let me help... what am i saposed to do..."

Kirai walked over to the table and gathered the books together, then began putting them back. "Friend Resa, for now the suggestion stands you return to your sister, and in addition, may find your friend in a given amount of time. He won't let you help, but there is nothing that can be done if you support and care for him."

noding slightly she sighed, handing Kirai the last book and standing. " i couldnt imagine... being traped in the dark for so long. " Resa thanked kirai and wondered out of the castle, lost in all that she had learned.

she waited until both the guests had left before finding Kirai, both Xal and Noir craddled in her arms. with a small smile she pushed Noir into Kirai's arms and started putting the books in place for her, listening to the small cubs as they slept. finaly she asked quietly. " the man looked... almost like a ghost. what could have happened to him to make him so?"

Kirai nodded her head in thanks, and sat down in a chair next to the large fireplace in the library. "Zain was his name... he is a vampire that survived the great war, however, only because his friends betrayed him and sealed him away. That girl, Resa, recently found and woke him up. Because he spoke in a different language, and wished for me to speek with him and inform her of what brought him to his current state."
