I've tried out for captain. So has one other person from Ravenclaw. I'm happy you like my avatar - it's one of my personal favorites among the avatars I have.

Brennaka Vortigan Yeah, high fives and welcomes to all the new Ravenclaws I might have missed! LadyHealingHands Lastly: Quidditch!!! I see we have at least one Ravenclaw who has put in for the captain position. I'm eager to see more from our smart and skillful House - anyone drawn to seeker, keeper or beater? Let's go Ravenclaw!!! I'm thinking of applying for beater or seeker, actually ^_^ Good luck to everyone else who applies for a position on the team! I may only have a Nimbus 1000 SE, but as long as it gets the job doen that's what matters, right? sweatdrop http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b212/escape_sunrise/protection.jpg Of course. Besides, it's a Nimbus, even if it's an older edition, so it's a good quality broom. Actually, I just pulled out my copy of Quidditch Though the Ages to review the rating on it, and it sounds fantastic. If it can reach one-hundred miles-an-hour, I'd say your set. I just have a 1982 edition of the Cleansweep, but if I make the team, I'll go for broke and buy a Nimbus 2000. I couldn't begin to afford the 2001, much less a Firebolt. xp
Hmm... now would be a good time for my Ravenclaw wisdom to jump in... I wouldn't worry about your clean sweep being subpar, Brennaka. My grandma would hit me with her very old Cleansweep model and it hurt! ALOT ;_;!!
Oh wait, that dosen't have much to do with flying capacity, does it? Well, at least you don't have to worry about the enemy beaters breaking your broomstick ^_^;
And about the whole exam thing: My exam week is in two weeks from now, and I'm seriously not looking foward to it! I'll try doing what some of you guys are doing right now for studying... great minds think (and work) alike, no?
EDIT: I thought they were only holding the Captan try-outs right now. Can you really apply for another position as of now?

My exams are next week, so I'll be spending the weekend spoonfeeding myself Spanish. Bleh.
Member try-outs will be as soon as captains are picked.

Oh, and maybe you should run by Madame Pomfrey...

Hey how is everyone doing? I hope the quidditch tryouts are going okay. I just received my grades of my first semester in college...I have a 3.42! I am so happy!! I was so worried that I wouldn't pass my classes.

Wow good job! I wish life wasn't based so much on "grades" and stuff like that. But, I guess that's inevitable.
You should try out as a Quidditch Captain! My goodness, I really can't wait until Quidditch comes. *looks around corner*

I'm excited to watch the Quidditch matches! I'm not a player or anything, but I'll be rooting for my fellow Ravenclaws!

How is my new avatar? My hair is like this in real life, just not purple... But I like the snow theme and I'm still in the Christmas-y mood. Aww, Orna would totally win in Quidditch 'cause of her mad trivia skills!

I'm also in a white kinda mood.. I like this look - lately I've been loving my avi's! I LOVED my last one though.

Yea, I really like that one, too! I was going to put the king's cape over, too, but I decided against it. Hehe...
Oh, how do you change your eyes?

Oh, it's the Oculus Magica - it's an older monthly collectible.. I love this item - especially since in the vampire form, once you put on the superior form you have no eyes so it's a clean change. smile This blue is perfect for the ice/white looks!

Orna your avi is cute! Has anybody read any good books recently? I need some recommendations actually. I'm kinda confused where you try out for a position. Is the trivia about everything or just some specific subjects.

I'm working through some C.S. Lewis novels right now, but I haven't finished them - so I don't have any new recommendations!
I'm totally not the person to ask about the Quidditch thing, I don't have a clue! xd
