Tora joined Mizu by the door. "Yes, I have never attended a party either." She placed her hand lightly on Mizu's shoulder, "It is a life long dream of Mizu-chan and I to become great geisha's." Tora smiled. She bowed. "And thank you for the lilly, sir. It worked wonders. I went strait home and pressed it in my diary."

Mizu blushed and grinned at Tora. "Hai, but we still have a long way to go. We are only lowly maiko after all..."

"Too true. But we are well advanced since we first came!" Tora giggled. She breathed in the nice night air. It was nice to get some of it in... fresh.

"Yes, very," Tora said quietly. She glanced at the stars that were shinning like diamonds against black velvet.

"Mmm...nights like these...they remind me of old stories my mother would make up for me... Don't these nights remind you of your parents Shagatsu-sama? Tora-chan?"

A small tear came out of Shagatsu's left eye and ran down the contours of his face until it dripped from his chin and landed in a splash on the stone. "yes..."

"Yes, they do. My grandmother would tell me the names of the stars and constellations." Tora pointed out a few. It had been so long since she'd just been able to gaze at their beauty.

Makoto walked outside taking a long deeply breath of air. She looked up at the stairs and the moon, almost thoughtfully.
"I remember these nights, my brother and sister would look out hoping to find a falling star to make a wish on."
Makoto giggled, delicately brushing her hair behind her ear with a small sigh her eyes seemed to shimmer in the brim of tears, her eyes seeming to become distant and disconnected from those around her.
"I do miss my village and everybody in it."

"my mother used to take me outside when i was little... and we used to lay down on a grassy hill next to my house and look up at the stars... After her heart-attack i must have layed on that same hill for 3 days strait, not moving a muscle..." another tear came down his face.

Mizu smiled sadly. "I'm sorry for your loss Shagatsu-sama...I too lost my mother. She died in an accident in Tokyo a year ago..."
