I got a 9k donation for my ninja HB quest xD Someone just gave me 350K+ a few weeks ago, out of the blue. I wasn't even questing for a ninja band, I just bought it. >.> Market whoring just isn't worth the effort after that happens. What happens? When you realize all the other ways to make gold. Market whoring takes advantage of small bursts of inflation, while investing in general earns just as much, overall, due to other market whores. Lets say some market whores buy a few celestial wraps and 15K and sell them at 17K. Okay, so they earn 2K. Well, the value of the item goes up. If I have five of them, and am an investor, I've earned 10K. In other words, the market whores are working for you. Market whores CAUSE more artificial inflation than most of the artificial inflation teams put together. So I just sit back and do nothing of the sort, and still earn gold. Besides, with the donations I've gotten, I've really got very little more I want to buy. So then the question comes along of how TO earn gold: Pretty much, I don't. I waste EVERYTHING I earn most of the time. The only time I really try to earn is at halloween. I can usually get at least 100K off of the event, which generally turns into a million by the next year due to investments. So the rest of the time, I just sit back and spend. That's why I don't market whore anymore. It's not worth it. I've got easier ways to buy what I want. Damn.... eek I wish I knew how to do that..... It generally requires alot more gold. A market whore needs only one item to make money, and can gain a huge percentage off of it. (Like Belac said, 20% in a day, even.) Investing gains a lower PERCENTAGE, but has a higher PAYOUT, just because you've used alot more gold. It takes gold to make gold. Market whoring isn't efficient for someone with alot of stuff. For example, it's easy to whore with 50K items, but hard to whore with 500K items as they are bought alot less, so investing is more stable. So investing isn't plausible unless you have the gold to spend. You also have to know what is being whored, as you rely on market whores to help you. Many people market whore in order to get money to invest. I'm too lazy, so I use events and high-activity points to earn gold to invest. The only problem is that my method requires more patience, as there are alot more chances to whore than there are events that actually have that high of a payout. Ohh okay, Well thats sounds good but it´s not me and market whoring works for me so I won´t change just yet xd
