*Chris groaned and sat up in his bed. Wha? Karen? He had tried to hit the hay early so he could he get an early start in the morning. Chris stumbled towards the door and stubbed his toe.*
GAH! @^#&!!!
*He limped to the door and pulled it open. Blinking at the light that filtered in through the door, Chris forgot he was in his boxers....and nothing else.*
Karen? What is it? Are we under attack?
*He rubbed at his eyes.*

*Karen put a finger to his head and pushes him back in the room after her, and closes the door.*
"Powell, stare You stabbed me and Clark with Green K... You masqueraded as Achilles and then Stabbed me!"
She frowns glaring at him!
"It hurt a lot!!"
*She humfs, stomping her floor and accidentally making a small crack in the floor.*
"But something tells me matters of the heart hurt a lot more..."
*Karen then wraps her large arms around Powell's neck to give him a hug. Softly Speaking to him.*
"I'm sorry, Chris, Cassie's with Wally now..."

*Chris stood still for a second and then pushed Karen away.*
I figured.
*Now that Karen was talking to him again he wanted to make sure she realized that he didn't attack her...Razor did. He could gnaw on the Wassie thing later.*
Listen, that wasn't me who attacked you and Clark. It's my fault he was took over my armor but I would never attack you like that Karen. I promise. I'm sorry that Razor did that. I never wanted anyone to get hurt. But he's gone...I made sure he's long gone and not coming back.

About Cassie? Nothing. She doesn't love me. She wants Wally. End of story.
*Chris shrugged and played it off as nothing. He didn't want Karen to start calling more names if he got upset. And maybe if he pretended he didn't care then he would really get over Cassie and move on. That would be best for everyone involved.*
I'm going to go back to bed. Unless you plan on sleeping over or something.

"Normally I'd be all over the idea of a sleep over. You would have found your nails painted by morning and possibly a new hair cut."
She gets up and walks to the door.
"But I promised Achillie's to give him a ride back to Aspen. So Later 'Gater!"
She wave a 'See ya' to him then shut the door.

*Chris woke the next morning early and hit the cafeteria for breakfast. It was practically empty which was he woke up early. No cheerleaders and no football players. Chris sat alone at a table with a book and pancakes for company. He read a few chapters while eating and left when more people started drifting in. He was heading to Murdock's dojo for a workout when he stumbled on a new flier hanging on a lamppost. Chris started reading. Quote: Are you a student? Are you broke from Christmas? Need some cash fast for a meal at Blackhawk's? It's like someone was spying on him! Quote: Then come by the Science Building to take part in a new science experiment by Dr. Reed Richards! Your safety and health are assured and you'll be paid for your help! Chris took the flier down.* Oooo...I need money. And the flier says it's safe so it has to be!

Cassie woke up later on in the day. She took a shower changed her clothes and called her mom.
' Hi mom! I'm still skiing with my friends. You know if you want me to drop in at Christmas Eve or Christmas day I can." " Cassie honey we've been over this. We're not celebrating Christmas this year I'm to busy since I've found this piece of Brainiac putting him back together, imagine what this alien artifact can teach us." " Yeah, I know I just thought maybe we could have dinner or something..?" " No... Brainiac's the most important thing."
With that her mom hung up and left Cassie hurt and confused. Her mom ALWAYS made time for her at Christmas... and since when does some stupid alien artifact come before her own daughter. Cassie wiped a single tear out of her eye.
" Mom's just stressed.. that's all stressed."
Cassie then left her room. She hoped that Karen brought back Achilles in one piece last night.

*After stuffing the Dr. Richards flier in his bag, Chris went to Murdock's dojo. He changed into some workout clothes and started warming up with a jump rope before moving to a heavy bag. He began to practice some boxing combinations that Murdock had taught him. Mr. Rogers wanted Chris to not only practice what Murdock had already taught him but learn even more hand to hand techniques. Chris sure wasn't going to question Captain America on his suggestions.
As Chris moved through some basic punching combos, Chris worried about Christmas. Dani invited him to her house but that was really a pity invite. Maybe he should just stay on campus. And he had to get rid of that 3DS he bought Cassie. Gamestop refused to take it back and he didn't want it.
This was all distracting Chris and his punches weren't crisp. He immediately picture Wally's face on the heavy bag. Smarmy looking speedster...
Oh look at me...I'm macking on your woman, Powell. I'm Wally West and I AM AWESOME!
Chris growled and he used his anger to fuel his fistwork.*

Linda had decided to go with the other Cheerleaders to this fancy resort, since she really didn't know much about Christmas, and although Clark and Lana tried to teach her, she was thankful to just be with friends!
Everything was going well, that was until she heard Cassie's voice. Linda Lang Knocked on Cassie's door.
"Hey there Cassie? Are you alright? You seem upset about something..."
She didn't want to press, but she was still concerned.

Wally had under a week till his date with Cassie. THE date. The big date. If it went well, there may be other, future dates! If it went badly...well, Wally didn't want to dwell on that. There was no use in panicking over something that hadn't happened yet.
But he was sort of stuck on ideas of what to do...
He'd helped with some of the cleanup following the post-basketball-brawl in the morning and then headed out into Midvale looking for ideas of what to do on the big date with Cassie. Wally zipped through the town at super-speed.
"Arcade? Maybe." Nah, probably too close to the last time they'd hung out and won the Dance Dance Revolution competition.
"Jazz club? Bo-ring!" Wally didn't know what Cassie's taste in music was. He'd have to ask.
"Gah! Giant naked picture of Achilles!" Wally made a FAST u-turn at the city municipal building and reminded himself to NEVER EVER run by there again! Why hadn't that been cleaned up yet?
Wally skidded to a stop in front of That 50's Diner and decided to stop for a hot cocoa.
"Hey-hey, West is best!" Wally skidded to a stop inside to see a group of the Monster High kids sitting at a booth. Deuce Gorgon, wearing dark sunglasses and his hoodie up, gave him a wave.
"Hey, Snakes." The Hero High football team was top in their district, but Monster High had the best basketball - or casketball as they called it - team. Wally knew most of the guys in the booth from football. They were cool - not total tools like Jedi Academy. "Nice win on the court last night!"
"Yeah, sparkin' good brawl afterwards, too!" One of the cheerleaders with minty green skin and stitches on her face clapped her hands, then sat back like she was afraid she'd attract some attention. Wally grabbed a chair and pulled it up to their booth.
"Hey, you guys can relax. Jughead Jones - the owner here, he's cool with all kinds."
"You sure?" Clawd Wolf, captain of the casketball team and Monster High's star quarterback gave the diner's owner an appraising look. "We're always a little on guard off-campus. You know..."
"Torches and pitchforks." Another one of the cheerleaders, a tiny little vampire, mimicked waving around a pitchfork like an angry village mob. "Totes not cool. The last time we played at Masters of the University, I thought that they were going to burn us at the stake!"
"Masters of the University are jerks, too." Wally agreed as Jughead passed around a round of hot chocolates. "But seriously, you don't need to worry. Midvale's cool. Actually, the whole town has a spell on it. Cuz of Hero High. When you're in the town or the school, you know all the teachers and their secret identities, but when you leave, you forget. That's how all our teachers are able to keep their day jobs as superheroes. And the townspeople are cool with it. Having this many heroes running around means a really low crime rate."
Deuce nodded and took down his hoodie, showing off his mohawk of snakes, and the rest of the Monster High kids relaxed. Wally sighed.
"Hey, you guys have any suggestions for a great place to take a girl on a first date?"
"Cemetery."
"Haunted House!"
"The pyramids in Egypt."
Yeah...maybe the wrong kids to ask for advice on that.

Cassie looked at Linda and faked a smile.
" Fine ... I was talking to my mom is all... Do you know if Karen ever brought Achilles back last night?"
Cassie didn't want to talk about her mother... or Brainiac.. whatever that was. So she thought it might be best to see her brother. Plus she felt kinda bad for leaving Achilles with Karen. She knew the two would never become an item but she did hope that they could be friends.

Linda still looked concerned with her eyebrows slightly raised, but didn't want to upset Casie more. When she was ready she would tell her. I mean it's not like they were BFF's, Linda only knew Cassie through Cheerleading.
"Oh um Karen.. We aren't exactly on speaking terms, she and I.. So I really don't know."
She wished she would be more of a help to her, but everyone knew Karen and Linda were so not cool with each other. Linda Felt Karen was picking on The Powell and shoved her in a fountain.. After that it was all history.
"Maybe you can call him?" She offered.
