i realy don't think that nessesarry... confused sides, it won't make it stick any more than without it. the urine would be for sterylization, and we made sure she was fine. teh wood did nothing to make her sick or infect her. she recovered from her diziness in less than 10 minutes. she even added more aspen-wood ash and was perfectly fine.

also, for the topic on teh liberation of tibet (which i don't get why had to be locked, that was WAY too strict a ruling! stare ) i have to admit, that "strongets pack" mentality is pretty ingrained even in my mind... i know that to say that is completely contradictory to what i announced before, but i dunno... i guess i just have mixed feelinsg then... like, i don't think it is the right thing to do, or the main reason for having a military, but at the same time, when it is thought of in the more natural "olde-ways" mindset i can't truely argue it... meh... xp i suppose teh difference for me is, teh way warfare works nowadays... firearms are such a cop-out way to fight battles!! nobody has to b a real warrior anymore to be a soldier! all you gotta do is point and shoot, and it's probably gonna be over, unless the vest their target wears protected them! with hand-to-hand weaponry combat was more honourable, and opping forces squared off in the dance-of-death that is ACTUAL combat! i do not consider modern warfare combat.

That's pretty easy to say when I'm pretty sure you haven't been put in a situation of life and death :/ You can act all high and mighty with your little sword collection and samurai code, but in the end of any conflict, whoever is still standing is victor, no matter what. You want to boast about your honor? Tell me how much use does that honor have when your food to worms six feet under and the one who put you there now is alone with your family? Like it has been said before, it has all been about who has the bigger stick. Firearms is just now the new stick of the century, and I'd have to suggest you getting over it wink

A true warrior isn't based on his use of weapon. A true warrior isn't based on how they fight. A true warrior is based on an ideal. A true warrior sometimes doesn't need a sword or gun to win fights. Martin Luther King Jr., warrior. Gandhi, warrior. In my honest opinion, your image of a warrior is shallow and weak. *shrugs*

-{Do you serve a purpose?}-

Before reading further, I will warn you that I write this post with utmost sincerity and conviction, if you wish to remember me as the goofball that I come off as, then read no further.

I wont argue with your ideals, but I will give you my honest perspective, and as far as I know, I have the most right to speak upon this issue than most anyone in the world, excluding my brothers and those that have opposed us.

As most of you know, I am a United States Marine.

You dont think we engage in true combat? You are sorely mistaken, as has been the case with the human psyche since we appeared/evolved , taking another beings life is one of the hardest things that one can do Despite the weapons we use, I assure you, we are warriors. Combat is combat, when surrounded by your brothers, and those that would do you harm, there is no greater trial a man can face to prove his true character.

As far as the weapons, killing a man with a blade, your bare hands, or a service 45, they all take the same build of character, devotion and determination.

I rarely talk on the subject of killing itself, as it is a highly personal rite that is often best left hidden away, but I will indulge all of you into my own experiences this one time.

I have taken several human lives in Afghanistan, I have killed from many yards away, and I have confronted insurgents in hand-to-hand struggles. No one can convince me to retell, and therefor relive the actual events that took place, but needless to say, I am alive to type this message to you.

As far as firearms being a "cop-out" and not being a real warrior to be a soldier, I both agree and disagree. Real warriors, and those that simply grab a gun and run out to serve a cause, are two very separate things, and both exist in this world. For those of us that are true warriors, it is just as the word states, The Art of war. True warriors train, live , breath , suffer and triumph for war. Our purpose is to make war, to take lives, to protect our brothers, and to protect the way of life that we believe in. The difference between a true warrior, and a man with an ak-47, is that True warriors usually go on to write posts on the internet discussing what they have done.

Thats all I will write for now, if you want more into my insights and opinions, just post a reply in the forum, I will be happy to talk about it, or toss me a PM, and I will be more inclined to answer more serious and personal questions regarding the topic.

And one last thing to go out on, Regardless of where you are from ,give thanks to those who bleed, die and kill for you, your thanks is all that they ask in return for their efforts. Shake a veterans hand, or send a letter to someone serving their country or cause, it makes a world of difference to us.
