Why would you give them food? It's not what they want. D;

Supposedly you don't give them money because they'll spend it on drugs.
But the one homeless dude I gave 40 dollars let me go to Wal-mart with him to help him buy food.
So I dunno.
Also, sleep.

Flightless Butterfly I'll end up raking under the trees that they'll sleep under so that none of the kids in the building find any needles, or get stuck. The Salvation Army has issued 'guidelines' on how to deal with the homeless, and they say not to give them money, just give them food. Pray to Wino, the God of Hobos, to remove him from your sight for a meager offering of booze and a moldy sandwich.

They dig through the dumpsters to pick out moldy bread to eat.
Had to clean that up a couple of times.

I didn't have any cash to give a homeless guy, so we went into a chinese place at the end of the block and I bought him a carton of chicken wings with my card.

Interestingly enough, after I helped him buy the food, I went to the store I had been intent on entering before he walked up to me, and I got a 40 dollar membership reward from something or another.
YEAH KARMA.

Moxie Lightning Most surveys will agree that you in fact do not need a shirt. Incidentally, is there a way to select an answer in this survey multiple times? I wish to express the strength of my opinion regarding this issue.

I wonder about the homeless that have their own dogs though.
If they aren't eating, then are the dogs starving too? Probably.
Wouldn't that make the dog feral? From the looks of it though the dogs are very well behaved, and listen well to their owner.

In my experience, a lot of homeless will feed their dog before themselves. Plus people are more likely to give dogs food than people money/food.

That's because most homeless people treat their dogs better than they treat themselves.
