Watari winced as his wounds began healing. "I think it sounds like a wonderful idea, Kazuhiko-sama." the scientist spoke softly. "As soon as I am well, we can begin working on it. How does that sound?"
~ ~ ~
"If you can not trust me or Ainsu," Aled spoke softly. "I pray you'll trust Po-ar and Watari." This was strange, coming from the usual self-absorbed Tarnb-jin Ou. "They want what's best for this world... neither possessing any selfish desires."

Kazuhiko smiled. "Ok." he nodded, continuing to heal and watch over him. "You're allowed to sleep now, Wata-san. You deserve it.. or.. is it -chan?" he asked, frowning and poking his chest. "Sometimes I can't tell." The boy was certainly forward. Whether this was a result of hanging out with Fir too long or not was hard to tell. The boy had always been quirky himself.
Kaguyo smiled. "I trust you both to be yourselves and try." she answered softly. "I trust in Po-ar and Watari-kun... Watari-kun especially. He's the only friend I've ever had around here." she spoke honestly. "It's well within your capability to win that trust back, Aled-kun. Well within. You've never let barriers stop you before. It would be a travesty to see you falter now."

Watari laughed slightly, "It is not -chan." he replied honestly. "I am not a woman, Kazuhiko-sama... but I have to ability to become one. This gift saved my life today..."
~ ~ ~
"And I will not let them stop me." Aled replied with a slight smile. "I just want you to know that there are those whom you can trust. You shouldn't feel alone, Kaguyo."

Kaguyo nodded, smiling. "Thank you, Aled." she gave him a slight hug, kissing his cheek. "I appreciate it... Oyasumi." She bowed slightly and exited the room, starting back down the hallway. Perhaps some tea before bed would be appropriate.
Kazuhiko beamed. "That's cool... Can I do that too?" he tilted his head. "How do you do it?"

But Kaguyo would have noticed.... that Ainsu was standing in the doorway now. He had seen her small kiss... "You are most welcome, Ka...." but when Aled looked up, his gaze caught Ainsu's. Both froze for a long moment.
~ ~ ~
"It is my Tarnb-jin gift." Watari answered seriously. "I'm afraid, only I can do it, Kazuhiko-sama."

Kaguyo lingered in the hall far out of Aled's sight, watching Ainsu like a hawk. **Su-kun, come with me.** she urged him gently. **Su-kun... you and I need to talk. I owe you a bit of an apology. I'll be in the kitchen if you deem me worthy of your time.** There was no malice in her voice, only a strange apologetic warmth. It was hard to read her emotions, but she was holding a lot back. She glided through the hallways, disappearing into the kitchen to put on a kettle. She had to deal with both men apart from one another, or this would only break into chaos.
Kazuhiko smiled. "Well... I'm gonna learn how to anyway." he decided. "Because I think it would be neat.... Better not tell Fir." he warned. "He's weird." He finished healing the scientist, yawning and snuggling him happily. "I like you. You're nice."

Aled spoke not a word, nor did Ainsu. The latter obeyed Kaguyo's wish, finding her in the kitchen just moments later. "You made you choice, I see." he spoke, though there was no anger in his voice. Simply resignation.
~ ~ ~
"I'm glad, but who's this Fir person?" Watari asked, not quite up to speed on everything.

Kaguyo shook her head. "I haven't chosen anyone." she answered softly. "But I wanted you both to know I'm not angry at either of you..." She gently pulled his hands into hers, oblivious to the fact his right was still but bone. "Don't give up on me, please..." she whispered softly. "Words... they mean something, but I have always been a woman of action. Aled saved me today. I had to at least pay him respect for that. You saved me also." she kissed his hand gently. "I haven't forgotten that either. I just need time to think..." she sighed deeply.
Kazuhiko smiled. "Ojiisan was worrying something about terrible tapes..." the boy shrugged, but as soon as he said that, it was obvious. The scandal Fir had sent through the palace and his ships was gargantuan, and well known. "He leads the Fir Darrigs... rat pack.. He helps Auntie Kit."

"Then I will have to take action..." Ainsu whispered, pulling Kaguyo close with his good hand. "I won't give you reason to doubt me..." the man spoke, before kissing Kaguyo passionately.

Watari paled. "Oh... that Fir..." he winced. "I doubt I'd ever like to meet him. Seems a bit too forward for my tastes."

Kazuhiko nodded. "He's fun if you're a kid though." he giggled. "He worries a lot."
Kaguyo blushed deeply, catching her breath at their sudden closeness. She returned the kiss without thinking, purely on reflex; something in the back of her mind felt off though. Whenever she pulled away, she knew why. Aled was standing right there. She blinked, suddenly feeling incredibly awkward. "S..Su-kun... I..." she stammered, looking at him before looking at the Ou once more. She suddenly realized what she had gotten herself into, calling them both into a competition. "Aled-kun..."

Watari frowned, "How would you know that he worries, Kazuhiko-sama?"
~ ~ ~
Turning slightly, Ainsu noticed Aled. But the Tarnb-jin Ou did nothing. He simply turned and left the room. It was obvious however, that Aled was pissed. "He's going to kill me over this..." Ainsu whispered before looking back to Kaguyo with a sad smile. "But that would be preferable to losing you."

Kazuhiko shrugged. "The same way that I know you worry a lot. You both broadcast it in a way." he tried to explain. "I just feel it."
Kaguyo blinked a few times, unsure of what to say. "I don't know who to choose..." she sighed deeply. "I fear I've made things worse... You both have strongly good qualities..." she looked lost in debate, "But I need to know for certain that your muse won't try to kill me again. With Aled... I need to know he can think of others asides from himself, that he can control his temper. I won't be the victim of that any longer either." she sighed. "And you both can be immensely devoted and passionate, things that I have deep respect for.. I don't know, Su-kun... I don't know..." But the way she had kissed him was reason enough for Ainsu to have hope. Kaguyo often over-thought things; to act on impulse like she had gave him a bit of insight into what she wanted. She was a woman of action, like she said. The kettle had been going off; she quickly turned off the stove and poured herself her tea, before bowing slightly. "Gomen nasai, Su-kun..."

"An empathy of sorts?" Watari asked, curious about it all.
~ ~ ~
Ainsu shook his head, getting a cup down for Kaguyo's tea. "Morrigan-san has told me that she'll do all in her power to seal this muse inside. I..." the man sighed. "You can placate the muse, Kaguyo-chan. You did for quite some time. But then... then Aoki's followers..." He turned, his gaze locked intently with her own eyes. "They used the drug which Aled had created. That was why the muse took control. My soul... my spirit... was literally unconscious for a time. I tried to fight it... but soon I couldn't breathe and... he took over. I couldn't stop him. But I tried and eventually... eventually I was able to stop him. But not in time..." he shook his head once more. "Don't be sorry, Kaguyo-chan.... It was my fault... not yours..."

Kazuhiko nodded. "Mmhmm!" he smiled. "Except they think too loud too. And I see ghosts. Everywhere. They're nice usually." he yawned a bit. "Which is why I know when Aoki's here. I'm the son of the winds, earth, seas and fire, born from a dead mother, died once, drank of Cerridwen's cauldron, bard, priest, Hunter-to-be, old before my time and no friends." He looked away, thinking for a long while. "For all the gifts I've been given, I would give them all away for real friends." he sighed softly. "People lie to me, but I know... I always know... I can't stand it. They don't understand the things I see... so... they don't like me." he snuggled the scientist. "I can talk to animals, though. They're nice. I like them a lot... I have a dog named Coco and he's craaazy... And three rats... And I'm going to befriend some crows... And I can talk to plants... the trees... Rocks... I have lots of magick too. I'm weird." he frowned. "But... if it helps people... Maybe...they'll like me someday, right?" The boy, for being only about 6 or 7, thought a LOT. It was hard to believe he was saying the things he did. It was kinda sad, but endearing.
Kaguyo placed the porcelain kettle on a tray, looking to Ainsu and his cup. "Your muse seemed perfectly placated with killing me, mind you." she spoke softly. She found it hard to speak when he looked at her like that. "And... and what if you're drugged again?" she quizzed him, trying to be more stoic and guarded, "Then what do I do? What if I can't fight you off again? If we decide to have a child---how will I defend myself a month before the baby's due, for instance? What do I do---do we do?? Although to your defense, you understand my freedom, you always have. I've been grateful for that." she sighed. "I don't know... Maybe... I should just go to bed..." she shook her head. "Today's been too long..." She was nervous, unsettled, conflicted. But this was not a bad thing, far from it---compared to her cold, detached facade she gave everyone else, he actually threw her off balance. Not an easy feat. "I...I don't know..." she whispered, lowering her head. He was still close enough that it was hard for her to think; the magnetism was keenly felt by both parties. There was always something about Ainsu that had enchanted her. Even now, he still had it, even if she couldn't put her finger on it.

Watari shook his head, "Just be yourself, Kazuhiko-sama. You can't force people to like you, as much as you may want them to. Be kind and understanding, but never lose sight of who you are." the scientist smiled. "Besides, you have a friend in myself, and apparently in Fir. Perhaps, if you were to grow up here, you could find more friends as well. Unlike Earth children, Tarnb-jin children all have unique powers. You're more likely to fit in here."
~ ~ ~
Reaching out, Ainsu took one of Kaguyo's hands in his own. "I am going to ask Po-ar to destroy all of that drug. Watari to destroy all of the notes regarding it." he shook his head. "I never want this to happen again, Kaguyo-chan. With the muse sealed away, with Watari trying to come up with a better way to seal it... I do not believe it can be released against so easily, even if the drug were to be spared. And yet... I understand your hesitance. I don't blame you for it at all, Kaguyo-chan." Gently, he kissed the woman's knuckles. "Get some rest, Kaguyo-chan. You of all people deserve some peace and quiet this night. You can always think on these matters tomorrow."
