Angel of Windz Upon recently graduating and finding some classmates from middle school on Facebook, I kinda wish I had gone to Columbus High School [[the super smarty-pants school that one has to test to get into]]
I was wholly against the idea of testing just to get into a school, so I decided to go to the area school. Recently, though, I found some acquaintances [[sp??]]from middle school on Facebook, and pretty much all of them went to Columbus HS. But it makes me wonder... Did I miss out on a better education?? If I had gone to that school, would I have had the experiences I did?? Hell, would I have been arrested for pulling a stupid stunt in February?? And ultimately, would I have still been valedictorian if I had been challenged?? My GPA wasn't exactly #1-worthy, since it was a 3.89... So, would the more intense workload be for my benefit or my detriment...??
I would have liked to have had different experiences in high school, but I really love the people I met at Chatt. Co. HS. Sure, I wish they had challenged us a little more, and I wish the teachers hadn't been so lax, but one can't really expect so much from a school in the middle of nowhere...
I think I'm done with my little rant. x'D I've always wondered that too. I don't really have the "motivation" in me to try harder (well being put down all those years by sis just made me feel low) so I'll have to accept that my previous years won't get me into the "Top 25" or so in my school lol xD My cousins who are on the coast of VA go to Academies and they have really high grades, since they are in a friendly environment + stable family life and the only classes they had to take where advanced placement all their lives. Looking For > Alternate Dimension of a successful me crying

@ Keito... I'ma do my day rant since you asked... so this may gone on a bit
Day Begins. Wake up. Cough... lots. Doing the vomit cough (I have this insane cough that every time my mum hears it she thinks I'm being sick. I was doing it this morning). Have breakfast. Claggy pancake is gross, eats anyway. Reaches bus stop. Looks at facebook. Laughs at status and photo comments. Cheers up slightly. Bus is late. Main road is not closed as sister said. Mood improves. Reaches work. Double checks to see whether she has not been paid or just over spent horrendously last week. It turns out to be the former. Inquire to manager as to reason for this lack of money. Turns out Head Office decided to put me on monthly pay without telling me or the store. Thanks. No impressed. Needs money to get to and from work and to pay driving instructor for use of her car for driving test. Has no money. Is damn lucky to still be living at home and to have nice parents. Helps customer, feels better. Gets stuck on shitty self service tills that break lots. Is bored. Returns to tills. Dies from the lack of Air Con and retarded heat. Has ridiculously early lunch. Informs bf she will not be attending cinema with him tomorrow and seeing Toy Story 3 since Head Office are bastards. Continues day of lacking staff, hectic day, crappy customers, heat exhaustion and being shunted round the store because the management are retards. Bf forgets to come see when he finishes work Gets to leave work. Forgets locker key. Has to phone work and ask them to stick it in safe to collect later. Gets home. Gets Chinese for dinner. Parents get drunk.
Yeh... this is pretty much my definition of the day from hell.

Bee Sting galore, all because my friends dad kicked us out of the house to the pool since the B-day part = pool party automatically even though I really didn't want to. After I swam for 10 minutes, I picked up a towel to dry myself, and heard... buzzing. Every rub I did = sting on my ******** face. Omg I was so pissed off on the inside after that.

I feel a need to rant about my weekend so I'll do so here.
Friday: Stayed up late thinking (foolishly) that I could sleep in the next day, and I could have but didn't.
Saturday: Woke up early, decided to get up for some reason even though I'd only had 5 hours of sleep. Finished packing, went to say goodbye to the campus and such. Nothing too bad. Then I went to the airport and my sisters decided to accept the offer to stay an extra day because the flight was overbooked, and they were compensated. But I couldn't stay so had to fly without my sisters, which turned out to be ok since I was traveling with five other people from the program. The flight was terrible, I cried about leaving Japan because I was sad to leave, and didn't want to leave Kazu (a guy I met that I really really like, but obviously couldn't even attempt to start a relationship with since I don't think a long distance relationship would be wise, that's another rant in itself though). I slept for a mere 4 hours on the flight, it was a 10 hour flight. It's weird repeating a day by the way. There were two July 10ths. Our flight landed late in San Francisco, and we had to rush to get through immigration, re-check bags, go through security, and get to our gate on time. We got to the gate 15 minutes before takeoff, thank goodness we made it though. After finally getting home I had to unpack, and repack. Didn't sleep until 2 a.m.
Sunday: Woke up at 7:30 a.m. feeling horrible due to lack of sleep and jet lag. Went to church with my friend (not sure why I did that, I don't usually go to church) then my flight to portland was delayed, it was supposed to leave at 1:15 and didn't end up leaving until 2:40. That flight was the worst flight I've ever been on. You wouldn't really understand why unless you've experienced jet lag before. I somehow managed to stay awake to socialize with relatives, and then slept early. Woke up in the middle of the night thinking it was time to get up, it was 1 a.m...
Monday: Still feeling short on sleep, got up early again and went on a train from Portland to Bellingham (actually three different trains, but that is a mute point). Was really tired after that, and the past few day I still haven't caught up on sleep and am taking care of two energetic energy draining kids. (one 3 the other 6) It's tiring.
I can't wait until Tuesday night when I'll be able to join my parents and younger sister in Canada, and will be able to relax there for the next three weeks or so. Plus I'll get my computer back! I'm tired of using windows computers...

@keito: Yup, it was an awesome trip. I learned a lot, and it was fun. And ya, I liked-liked someone, but I didn't tell him since I thought it might be unwise. Since he lives in Japan and me in the States, ya. *sigh* oh well though.
