Hedoro

Hedoro got up after resting for a moment. She had used the time to think, and came to a decision. She didn't want to stay in one village for too long, she wanted to visit more villages to learn their techniques. The larger of a pool of techniques she had to learn from, the better. So she set out, leaving the village for the next stop on her voyage.

"Listen kid you gotta listen and stop rushing in without thinking"Rikkou said as he was ready to begin to explain to Lyon"ok you gotta mold the chakra into your feet first.then as you are running up the tree you cant hold too much energy or chakras into your feet while you running or you will break the bark"Rikkou said to lyon. With that said Lyon feet begin to glow blue and he jumped and stucked onto a tree and then he started to run upwards and he was about to fall he left a kunai mark on the tree

Rin woke at the break of dawn the next morning to Lee standing on the balcony waching her, conscern writen on his face. "You were haveing a bad dream about loseing your father...?" He said looking at her still with that same look on his face. She looked at him with a scoul on her face at the comment made as she wiped her face dry from the tears she had been crying in her sleep. "No I was not haveing a bad dream I am fine!" She said looking away hopeing he hadnt noticed she was wipeing away tears and not sleep, but it was obvious because of Rins strange unique color of tears that had stained violet streaks onto her face. Lee looked at her a long time and then sighed. "Yes you were crying in your sleep about him I do not like it when people lie to me, so please do not. I heard you crying and screaming so I came to see if you were okay. If you do not streangthen your mind and resolve your inner problames you will find it difficult to keep your body strong."

She looked up at him and saw that his eyes had the soft warm look an older brother might give his sister when she is haveing a bad day. She looked down at the floor ashaimed at haveing hurt his feelings from lieing like that as she got out of bed still wareing her clothes and gear she had fallen asleep in. "I am sorry Mr. Lee I just do not like talking about it, I did not mean to lie about it I just...." She trailed off not knowing what to say next as she looked up trying to show senscerity and honesty in the apology she was makeing to him. Lee looked at her with a warm accepting smile and then gave her a little nod to show he had accepted her apology. "It is alright rin you have come one step closer to strengthening your mind by apologizing, So lets strengthen your body now as well. We have a full day to train since you have woken so erly, Oh! and if it dose please you.. you may call me Lee like everyone else." He said grining and giveing her a little wink. She grined back widely noding feeling better and ready for training. "Alright Lee... I am ready for anything youve got planed!!"

Right before Lee hit the ground, he let go of the rock. Since the rock was a clone made by Yoshimitsu, it had a big explosion. The rock had taken more damage than any Shadow Clone could ever take. If this was done to a person in the same way that Lee did it, it could kill them. “Lee, that was awesome. For a second, I thought that you had been taken by the wind from my clone.”
“No. I survived by attacking the wind that was coming at me by using the Great Whirlwind. It let me attack the oncoming wind with my wind. Now, do you understand how it is done, or do you need me to do it one more time?”

Yoshi hesitated. “Give me a second to think about it.” He thought for a second. ”If I do it right now, I have a big chance that I will mess up. If I see him doing it one more time, then I will have a better understanding of every move. Anyways, I still need to know my speed for my dive.” “You can do it one more time. I will try it after I see the exact detail in the attack.” Yoshi stood back, observing everything that Lee did.
“That sounds fine.” Lee tries to lift the rock, but can’t. “Hey Yoshi, can you help me lift this rock again?” Yoshi walks up to the rock with Lee.

Yoshi then does some hand signs. He does Shadow Sewing. “This is really training my shadows. It will help with my attacks, and holds. If someone wants to get out of my Shadow Imitation, it wouldn’t be soon.” Yoshi lifts the rock with Lee. Lee then backs up, so that he can get a running start.
“Here goes nothing. Watch every move that I do. Even better, have a bunch of clones watch me. That way, if one of you misses what I did, then the others can tell him.” Yoshi heard what Lee said, and agreed. He made eight clones, each pair watching a specific part. Yoshi himself stood in the background, so that he could see the big picture.

Then Yoshi screamed. “Everything is ready for the technique!!” Lee heard him from afar, and nodded.
“I will go in: 3…2…1…” Right after he said one, he ran. Yoshi immediately threw the huge rock. It flew at a straight angle. Lee put his chest parallel to the rock. His bandages wrapped around the rock. He spun at a very high speed. Right before he hit the ground, he let go. The rock clone then exploded. “Did you see that Yoshi? Now it is your turn.”
Yoshi collected all the clones into him. He knew everything that they knew. He was now ready for the end of the training.

Yoshi nodded, and then made some extra clones. He told them all to do Shadow Sewing, so that they could throw it for him. “Yoshi, the real rock must stay there. You have to use the clone. Remember to defend yourself after it hits the ground.”
Yoshi got prepared. He counted down from five. The clones threw it perfectly for him. He made his chest parallel to the big rock. He wrapped his new bandages around the rock. He spun at a very high speed. He couldn’t reach the speed that Lee was going at because he didn’t have the experience, and the timing for the first time. Yoshi let go at the last minute. He let go at the perfect time. Right when he landed, he made a clone that made a Shadow Sewing barrier. “You pass. I knew that I would say that to you. See you after you train with Gai.” Yoshi was now done training with Lee.

"Good, now please fallow me this is going to be a harder lesson than the last." Lee jumped off the balcony onto the the empty street below landing gracefuly and without makeing a sound. Rin quickly fallowed but sliped off and hit the ground with a loud thump. Lee continued to walk and rin was up on her feet fallowing him once again. Finaly they stoped on an open spot almost medow like and an early morning breeze wafted softly at the grass. " I am going to teach you Leaf Riseing Wind, this is a very important lesson because this is the first step to something wonderful that I think you will do well with." Rin stood there keeping his eyes locked onto him remembering what happened yesterday not wanting to be caught off her gaurd again. "I am going to show you how this works so be prepaired." Rin got into a protective stance keeping the back of her arms in front of her waching him as he jumped back almost a whole four yards away. Rin focused on him standing there for a moment. Lee took a step forward and then had completely vanished, Rin braced herself for a crash corse of pain and shock. She was rite in doing so because just then Lee appeared infront of her and swung a hard heavy fist upward and it collided with the bottom of her lower jaw sending her into the air and backward.

Rin felt herself being pushed into the sky and then fliping through the air and falling to the ground heavily but hadnt realized how far away she had fallen from where she stood untill she had opened her eyes and saw Lee standing there about a football feild away lookin at her and holding his hand. He was holding the same hand he had hit her with she noticed, then without warning the pain that had been delayed by the speed of it all caught up with her. Her eyes began to water with savere pain as she got up out of the dirt where her body impact had made an impresion of the landing. Lee looked suprised and delighted at the same time as Rin slowly walked over to him holding her jaw. "Your Sensei is very rite about you rin you are a very tough girl!" Rin grined broadly at him showing an unwanted gap in her smile as her last baby tooth had been knocked out of her mouth and she now looked a little like a hokey player. Lee laughed at the rediculous smile and gave her the thumbs up.

Yoshi walks up to Kakashi. “Hey Kakashi. How have you been doing?”
Kakashi turns around. “Hey Yoshi, nice of you to visit. I have been great. Did you need me to teach you another technique?”
“No. I need Gai here to teach me a technique.” Gai gave me thumbs up, and smiled. “Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. However, Lee told me that Gai was a great teacher. He said that Gai taught him almost every technique that he knew. So I guess I better start this lesson.”
Gai got up from sitting, and took Yoshi out to the forest. He had Yoshi learn every technique that he was teaching him out in the forest.

Amazingly, everything that was needed was already there. It must have been left there for Lee to practice with. “This is my favorite place to train. I have everything that I need here so that I can train continually. This way I don’t have to go to the store every time I need something.”
Yoshi looked around. He saw all the dust, and traps. He saw that this place had taken a lot of time to build. “This place must have taken a long time to build. You must have trained Lee here for a long time. Anyways, let us start the lesson. Lee told me to tell you one, and two. What does that mean?”

Gai thought, and then he smiled. “That was our old signal. Those are my two basic techniques. I guess he wants me to teach them to you. Have you heard about the technique called Great Whirlwind? It must have been taught by Lee first.”
“Yes, he already did teach it to me. He said that I did very well, and that I should progress on this technique.” Yoshi smiled once he found out what it was.
“I guess you already figured out that I am going to teach you the next two techniques in the trinity. The next one is called Strong Whirlwind. Lee has learned this technique, and mastered it very well.”

Gai looked like he was about to cry. “He wants me to teach it since I teach it better.” Then his eyes got teary. He really did cry, and then he stopped. “This technique takes what you learned before and a bit more. It will feel very easy, but it will put a great strain on the body when you learn it. Show me what you already know.” Gai then brought a dummy that Yoshi was supposed to hit. Yoshi hit the head so hard that the head flew off. “Wow. You are one of the few that did that so well on your first try.” Then the dummy exploded into smoke. It was just a Shadow Clone of a real dummy.

Yoshi looked at the head. It didn’t explode into smoke. “Why is the head still there?”
Gai picked up another dummy, and put it in front of himself. He then did the Strong Whirlwind. The body instantaneously exploded into smoke. Exactly after the body exploded into smoke, the head exploded into smoke. “The heads are charged with ten times more chakra than the body. When you hit it, you didn’t put enough damage to the head. These were all made by Kakashi. He can spare a bit of his chakra since he mastered his Sharingan. I will explain how to make that attack that you did stronger.”

Gai then setup another dummy in front of Yoshi. “This technique is better than the one Lee taught you for two reasons. It is very strong, and it uses less chakra in proportion to its power compared to the technique that Lee taught you. Let us say that for every attack, it wastes 6 parts of your chakra with 6 parts damage. This technique will use up 7 parts of your chakra for 8 parts strength. The more chakra you put into it, the more power will come out.” Gai then took a step back, and started to look a Yoshi.

Yoshi stared back at Gai, and then said. “What? You want me to do what you just did? You know I can’t.” Gai didn’t move one bit. “At least explain it to me.”
“Ok. You do the exact same thing, but this time slow down.” Yoshi looked at Gai with a weird face.
“You mean to tell me that Lee taught me to spin faster, but you are telling me to spin slower…” It took a second, but Yoshi understood. “I see what you mean.” Yoshi jumped up, and kicked the head off. It exploded in the same manner as when Gai did it.
“Good job. Now you understand that giving up some speed will give you some power. See you again after you get some food.”

Tamao

Tamao sat on the boat, her head in her hands as she tried dealing with all of the thoughts that had been put into her head just recently. She wasn't used to thinking about these kinds of things. Studying didn't mean a thing, nothing made sense anymore. She blushed again, and hoped that wherever it was she was going, there'd be enough to do to distract her from what had just happened. Now that she thought about it, where was she going? She'd jumped on the first boat she saw, what if she went back to Hidden Nano?
(1 of 3)

No, that was silly. The boat wouldn't have taken her, and then left for the very same village after just ten minutes! No, it had to be somewhere else. But where? She hesitated to ask, kind of liking the idea of going to another surprise village. The last one hadn't turned out the best, maybe this one would measure up better? She hoped so, after what had happened, she could use some good old-fashioned training. Learn a few techniques with work and diligence.
(2 of 3)

And then, they arrived. She recognized the village from the numerous pictures she'd seen. Not that it would have been hard to guess, with so many trees all over the place. It was obviously the village hidden in the leaves. The largest hidden village, and the most famous, too. Surely she'd find powerful techniques to learn here! If not, then something had to be wrong with her. This village was home to some of the world's strongest shinobi in the books, after all!

Tamao

The boat had finally arrived, and she disembarked. Looking around, she had to admit there was a certain beauty to hidden leaf. With all the trees, it looked like something out of a painting. But that didn't mean much now, she had to get to work and train! Wandering the village, she tried to recall the names and techniques she'd heard associated with the village. There were quite a few, so she spent more time sorting between them then she did thinking of them.
(1 of 4)

Finally, she came to a decision. Even if she didn't know which techniques she wanted to know the most, she could at least work on the ones she was pretty sure she wanted to learn. That narrowed the list down greatly, there was only a dozen or so techniques to work with now. Much easier to manage, but which one to start with? Instead of thinking of which one to start with, she came up with a better idea. Resuming her walking, she continued to go through the village, looking around.
(2 of 4)

Instead of trying to choose the tecnique, and then find the person who was known to be a teacher of the technique. If she found the person, she could then go right to the technique they knew, and hopefully they'd be willing to teach her. If not, she could still take a technique off her list. So she did her best to recall the faces of the people she was looking for. They were all pretty famous or infamous, hopefully they had the time to help someone like her.
(3 of 4)

She continued her search, and soon found one of the people on her list. Sakura Haruno, a somewhat famous kunoichi, she knew quite a few good techniques, ones that were useful in many different situations. One of those techniques was the Genjutsu Release. Genjutsu were notoriously difficult to escape from, this technique made it actually possible to escape from Genjutsu. Assuming you used it while the Genjutsu was still taking effect. Once you were in it, it was too late. She asked Sakura to teach it to her, and Sakura smiled. She said she'd be glad to, and did. It was very easy to learn, really just a single hand seal and a burst of chakra.

PostPosted: Wed Apr 04, 2007 10:21 am

Tamao

Tamao thanked Sakura, and was on her way. That was one technique doen, not too many more too go. She tried thinking of her techniques as a whole, to spot any fields that she'd neglected. Not counting the special cases, like other clans' kekkai genkai, or summons, or even doujutsus, there were only four categories of techniques. The first was ninjutsu. Obviously the most famous, as well as the category with the largest number of techniques.
(1 of 3)

Ninjutsu techniques were varied, there was literally a different technique for every possible situation. If you knew enough ninjutsu, there would seldom be a time there was nothing you could do about a situation. But even so, ninjutsu was limited, it had only a small skill in terms of illusion of pure physical power. That was where the other two techniques came into play. Even so, ninjutsu was obviously the most used technique. Even most of Tamao's techniques were ninjutsu.
(2 of 3)

The second category was genjutsu. These techniques were illusions, designed to trick your opponent, or somehow make them unable to react to a situation, so you could have greater freedom, either to attack them with punity, or to make an escape. That was only the broad definition, there were many genjutsu with powerful effects, some of them could even render someone near catatonic, or possibly even kill them. Considering it was all illusion, they were very powerful indeed.
(3 of 3, Sleep Fighting)

The third classification, taijutsu. Many people underestimated and ignored this class. It was very straightforward, it was virtually just pure physical might, various combinations of punches, kicks and such, that could render an opponent unconscious by beating them down. As such, these techniques used less chakra, and often required no hand seals. Even though they were often made light of, taijutsu boasted some of the strongest techniques, ones that could break bones with a single attack.
(1 of 3)

And the fourth, passive and special techniques. These were a bit of an oddity, because overall, they didn't really do anything. Most of them were actually ninjutsu, but as secondary techniques they also fit into this phantom fourth category. Desert Eye, 'A Maiden's Love is Pure' and other techniques, they either didn't do much by themselves, or didn't quite fit a normal definition of a proper technique. They were still useful in their own right, however.
(2 of 3)

And out of all four of these categories, Tamao had mostly taken from the ninjutsu, as had most other ninja. She had very little in the terms of both genjutsu and taijutsu, and her special category was about average. Genjutsu were rare and hard to master, so for now, she should probably focus on taijutsu. And speak of the devil! She had just turned around a corner when she saw an unmistakable ninja. Clad in green with a bowl cut, Rock Lee was a famed taijutsu specialist.
(3 of 3, Leaf Rising Wind)

So was his teacher, Maito Gai. For that matter, they actually looked a lot alike as well. She probably could seek training with either one of them, it was just luck that she found Rock Lee first. As a genius of hard work, it was no surprise that he was training. And training very energetically, at that. She didn't want to distract him, so instead she just settled in to watch for a while. At the moment, he was doing push-ups. And not just any push-ups, either.
(1 of 3)

No, these were extreme push-ups. He was doing them with one finger. Not just that, but there was a large boulder on his back. It was easily five feet cubed, but he was still pumping up and down so fast it was almost hard to see. Tamao marvelled at the sheer strength he must possess. He was the living embodiment of practice makes perfect, and an inspiration to all struggling ninja. Just keep at it, and eventually you'll complete your goal.
(2 of 3)

She kept watching him, and after a while, five thousand push-ups worth of a while, Rock Lee leapt into the air, causing the boulder to go flying off into the distance. Even as far as it went, she could still feel the ground shake when it landed. Unreal. He wasn't done, either. Now he was moving on to jump rope. But not just one, or two, but five seperate jump ropes. He began slowly for him, which was faster than a normal person's average. He only picked up speed after that.
(3 of 3, Dynamic Entry)

He was soon moving so fast that she couldn't see the ropes any more. For that matter, his legs were a blur, she could only see a vague green spot below his waist. She had to sit down, this was all too much. This high of a degree of physical strength seemed so unreal she thought she might be dreaming. Pinching her leg, she felt it. No, she wasn't dreaming. This, as unlikely as it seemed, was real. She shook her head a little, flabbergasted.
(1 of 6)

Tamao was aspellbound, the faint humming of the whirling ropes made her somewhat spellbound. When Rock Lee finally came to a stop, she snapped alert again, shaking herself a little. Looking up, she saw he still wasn't done with training, now he had picked up a pair of fifty pound hand weights and was practicing punches. Just watching him do that made her own arms ache, she wrapped her arms around herself to avoid the empathic sensation.
(2 of 6)

Rock Lee kept throwing punches just as ferociously as he had when he started, even though his arms had to be feeling at least tired by now. If someone like Tamao had tried something like that, she would have either torn almost every muscle in her arm, or even dislocated her arm. But Rock Lee barely looked tired. The only sign he was even exerting himself was the sweat on his brow. He was truly something else, Tamao wondered if it was even possible for someone else to come as far as he had.
(3 of 6)

The onslaught continued, with Rock Lee continuing to punish his body with hellishly difficult training, and still making it look so easy. Tamao shook her head, maybe training with him wouldn't be such a good idea. If he tried to train her at that level, she'd be ebdridden for at least a month! No, she had watched him and picked up some pointers in general physical workouts, as well as absorbed a small piece of his determination. For now, that would be enough.
(4 of 6)

Just watching him had made her tired, now she wanted nothing more than to take a rest somewhere, maybe have something to eat. Breakfast had been quite some time ago, she had forgotten about lunch and was getting pretty hungry. She had read about famous eating places, and when it came to hidden leaf, the best place to get a quick and cheap meal had to be Ichiraku Ramen. Just thinking about it made her hungrier, so she set out to find it.
(5 of 6)

But wanting to find it was nothing like actually finding it. As she got hungrier and hungrier, she still couldn't find it. Of course, she had been hungry before, but now that she knew she was hungry, it was that much worse to deal with. She finally found someone to ask, and they gave her directions. Fixing her direction, she thanked them and set out. It was still a bit of a walk, so she tried to spur herself on to greater speed, to get their faster so she could put something in her poor empty tummy.

Tamao

It took some time, but Tamao finally managed to find the Ichiraku shop. The smell of yummy ramen wafted out to her, making her hungrier than ever. Sitting down, she placed an order and impatiently waited for her food to arrive. When it did, she began eating right away. The broth was really hot, so she had to blow on the noodles a little before eating them. It was so good! The book had been right, this was one of the best places to go for ramen!
(1 of 12)

Too soon by far, and her bowl was empty. She thought for a moment, and decided to go ahead and order a second one. Looking over the menu printed on the wall, she opted for the roast beef with extra scallions and ginger. Once it arrived, she enjoyed it's scent for a moment before digging in. It was just as good as the first bowl, if not more so. It was just a shot, too. She had to blow on the noodles again, making it last a bit longer than it otherwise might have.
(2 of 12)

Finally, the second bowl was empty, and she was very full. It had all been very good, now she was getting the after meal sleepies. Before she forgot, she payed for her meal and asked where a place to stay was. After being given directions, she thanked the chef for the great meal, and promised to come back. Taking her leave, she had to go slow. She didn't want to move around too much and make herself sick.
(3 of 12)

That would be a waste of a really good meal. So she took her time, stopping for a break every so often, and turned an otherwise short walk into a lengthy one. Even so, she got to the hotel noticeably before it became dark, and purchased a room. She paid in advance for two extra nights, since there was still a large number of techniques she wanted to learn. There was little chance of learning them all tomorrow, after all.
(4 of 12)

No, it would take a few days, at the very least. And with the exams coming up, she had to make every minute count. But it was already getting late, so she decided to turn in early, and get an early start tomorrow morning. She washed up, and changed into her pajamas. After brushing her teeth, she combed her hair for a while and then turned the lights out, Crawling into bed, she fell asleep after tossing and turning for a little bit. She had eaten a large meal just before bed, after all.
(5 of 12)

Morning rolled around, and she woke up early, as she had planned. Getting up, she spent some time getting ready, then set out bright and early to see what she could find in the way of training. It was still early, so not too many people were awake yet. She could hear some birds chirping, and the air felt fresh and cool. It was all very refreshing, making her glad she'd woken up so early.

But as refreshing as the scene might be, it had a problem. With so few people awake, it would be harder to find someone to train her. Wouldn't that be funny, she went through the trouble to wake up early, and then she couldn't train until everyone woke up anyways? Maybe funny wasn't the right word, maybe frustrating would be more apt. Either way, if she didn't find someone soon, she would have to decide what to do next.

But luckily, it didn't come to that. As she walked around the village, she saw a distinctive orange jumpsuited ninja. Everyone knew who that was, he had achieved no small degree of fame in the books. Many things had been written about him, and even if only half of them were true, then he was quite the powerful ninja. His beginnings had been rather lackluster, though. Actually, that was an understatement.

If the books had been right, he had flunked out of the academy three times, and the things that had been said about him were decidedly unkind. He had been said to be a goof-off, a ne'er-do-well, a knucklehead and a hopeless case. but he'd turned it all around, and had come into his own as a strong ninja in his own right. He was determined, and never gave up. Just like Rock Lee, they both had determination in spades.

He didn't appear to be too busy, so Tamao went up and introduced herself. He seemed friendly enough, so she asked if he wouldn't mind teaching her a few techniques. He agreed, and she asked if she could learn the Kage Bunshin no jutsu. It was a powerful technique, the next level up from a simple bunshin no jutsu. Whereas those clones were fakes, kage bunshin clones could survive a lot more damage.

He said it wouldn't be easy, but he agreed to try teaching her. It wasn't a terribly difficult concept, just using a lot more chakra on each clone to make them tougher. The hand seals required were a bit more difficult too, and obviously the chakra cost was higher. Naruto was obviously not suited for a teaching role, so instead of trying to explain the technique, instead he did it. Tamao watched, trying to remember as much detail as she could.

Tamao watched as Naruto did a hand seal combination, and then a big cloud of smoke appeared. Suddenly there was a big crowd of Narutos each looking the same. These weren't just clones, but shadow clones, much stronger than normal bunshins. To prove this, three or four of them fought each other, showing they could take some hits. It was pretty impressive, and Tamao kept at it until she was able to do the technique herself.

Tamao

Now that she had learned the kage bunshin no jutsu, Naruto suggested she imrpove it one level further by learning the mass replication technique. It was sort of the same as the kage bunshin no jutsu, except it created lots more clones. With enough chakra, a single person could create over a hundred shadow clones. A veritable army, all from one person. If one person wans't enough, make fifty more!

It did make sense, and actually that technique had been on the list of techniques she wanted to learn, so Tamao said she'd be glad to learn the technique. Again, Naruto was no teacher, so he demonstrated the technique, instead of trying to explain it. This one was a little harder to learn just by watching, so he had to go through it a few times. By the time she finally started to get it, he was starting to get pretty worn out. When she asked him to do it just once more, he yelled at her, saying why should he have to keep doing the same technique over and over like this. Why hadn't she already learned it just from watching, anyways? She apologized profusely, offering to treat him to ramen if he was able to teach her the technique. Ramen, Naruto's one weakness.

That was all she had to say, he was fired up and ready to amke her learn the technique, even if he had to perform it a hundred times. He told her to watch carefully, and even tried explaining it. He didn't do a good job in that regard, but he did try, and between that and Tamao's knack for putting two and two together, she began to get a working knowledge of the technique. Not perfect, not by any means, but pretty close. Clsoe enough that she at least had a chance at performing the technique herself. Naruto urged her to try it, he wanted ramen. She nodded, she'd do her best. Before she could try the mass replication technique, first she had to use the kage bunshin no jutsu to create a few shadow clones to begin with. She did that without too much difficulty, and was ready to move on to the next step.

She tried to recall each detail that she'd seen of Naruto's demonstrations, and wove them together in her mind so she knew what she had to do. Concentrating, she exerted her chakra and did the same hand seals that she'd seen him perform. A giant cloud of smoke appeared for an instant, and wafted away to show an army of shadow clones. Nowhere near as many as Naruto had made, only two dozen, but more than acceptable for a novice to the technique. Naruto assumed this to mean that she'd mastered the technique. That meant there was nothing standing between him and ramen. Tamao debated if she should try the technique once more, but felt that Naruto had been patient long enough. She had promised to treat him to ramen if he taught her the technique. And he had, so it was her turn to keep her word.

They made their way to Ichiraku, with Naruto claiming he'd eat a thousand bowls. She hoped it wasn't anywhere close to that. She had brought a decent amount of money with her from home, but if he ate a huge amount, that would take a big bite out of her savings, too. She was feeling a little hungry herself, so she thought if she was already going to be paying for ramen, might as well get a bowl for herself.

They had arrived just in time. Ichiraku had only been open for about a half hour. Normally it did most of it's business between midday and nightfall, not too many people wanted ramen first thing in the morning. Some did, so they were prepared for the occasional patron. But a ramen consumer like Naruto was in a class of his own, they weren't quite ready to serve up as much as he probably would have liked. He grumbled a bit, and Tamao silently thanked the gods of fate and coinpurses for this small favor. They both took a seat, and enjoyed a mid-morning ramen. Something about eating hot ramen so early in the morning felt kind of odd, but it wasn't bad. It was just as good as it had been the night before, and Tamao seriously considered going for a second bowl. But then she remembered how she'd felt last night, and decided against it.

Tamao

Tamao leaned back a little in her chair, enjoying the moment as she felt the hot ramen in her tummy. Naruto kept eating, several bowls had already succumbed to his black hole of a gullet. Finally, the ramen chef said they didn't have any more noddles, if Naruto wanted any more, he'd have to come back later. He grumbled again, but got up. Tamao counted the bowls and realized that even when they were cheap, multiple bowls still added up. She payed the bill, and stepped outside. Naruto thanked her, and asked if there was anything else she wanted to learn. She said there probably was, but first she wanted to take a little break. It wasn't a good idea to be active right after a meal. That was very true, Naruto had to admit. So he said he'd see her later, and hoped she'd treat him again. She laughed half-heartedly, and walked off.

As Tamao walked, she couldn't help but laugh a little more at Naruto. He was really unique. He was older than her, and stronger, but he had still let a little girl treat him to ramen. Either he really loved ramen, or he was still as much of a knuckle-head as the books aid he used to be. Somethings never changed, apparantly. As she walked, she wasn't paying too much attention to where she was going, and only noticed she was about to bump into someone when she looked up, and saw them only two feet away. Skidding to a halt, she only barely avoided hitting them and stepped back a step to make sure. They were turned away from her, but something about them looked familiar. Just before he turned to face her, his identity came to her in a flash from the blue, and she quickly averted her eyes.

As Itachi turned to face her, she debated if she should run away. He was a big-time dangerous criminal, what was he doing here in the village hidden in the leaves, standing out in the open like this? Her mind was absolutely drenched in fear, and perhaps that lent a slight amount of randomness to her thoughts. Impulsively, she bowed to him and asked if he would train her. Perhaps her audacity amused him, or perhaps he didn't care one way or the other, but he agreed. While he debated the matter, before he actually said he would, Tamao was fearing for her life. What had she done? She had just asked a rank-S criminal to teach her! What sort of evil technique would he teach her. Assuming he didn't kill her outright, with those dangerous Uchiha eyes of his.

But he had agreed, and she straightened up nervously. She knew enough about Uchihas to not look him in the eye, and instead she just listened as he told her about the technique Exploding Shadow Clone. She was really glad she'd already learned kage bunshin no jutsu, she did not want to have to say she couldn't learn that technique, how about a different one? She listened as closely as she ever had before, she wasn't about to let herself lapse when someone like him was teaching her. He explained it really well, although very succintly, then told her to try it. Just like that, no demonstration or anything? She swallowed nervously, and got ready to try it. She summoned a shadow clone, and sent a pulse of chakra to it. It seemed to go unstable for an instant, and then exploded, creating a slight shockwave. Itachi subtly nodded once and walked away. She'd apparantly done it, and he hadn't killed her either!
