Arias eyes widened at Lance. "Wait what? Is it safe?" she asked in a panicked whisper. "Whats going on? I'm no good at fighting if something happens..." she murmured and grabbed his hand. "Are you sure Im ready for this?"

lance looked to aria "well if they do show were not to fight lady's orders were to get back here" he gave her hand a squeeze "besides its better you do this sooner than later" lance started off into the woods with aria looking around for some kind of animal"

Voro sighed looking at the remains of the wolf Mark retrieved. This new information coming to light was not so good, but not so surprising to him, given the fact that his last two spies had not reported in, meaning they were dead or captured for torture. Either of which meant a storm to come.

She sighed and spoke to Aria her voice whispering softly to her 'I doubt Lance could take one of these wolfs and walk away. They are hunters and nothing more, they will go for a kill before they have time to decided if you are friend or foe. Just stay with Lance and listen to him.' with her last words her voice was gone and she turned to Voro "I take it from your reaction to this that your spies spoke nothing of these coming events?" She sighed and ran a hand through her hair "Mine have not reported back in four days, if they are hunting here then they might know its us that is sending them." She glanced outside then back at Voro "Do you think they know we have been watching them?"

Aria nodded at Lavenders words and followed Lance smiling slightly when she realized this is the second time they've ever been together alone even though the situation surrounding each time hadn't been pleasant. Aria hummed an old lullabye to calm her nerves. She heard a twig snap and her hand caught his to keep him still. A deer creeped out anxiously and froze as soon as it saw them, meeting Aria's eyes.

lance thought to aria deer is good to start with since there is less guilt attached than if it was human lance slowly walked up to the deer making sure it wouldn't spook lance then pulled out something from his back pocket and the deer ate it shortly afterwards it laid down totally unconscious "there that should keep him knocked out and he wont feel a thing" he sighed "thats the hard way of doing thing but it is going to be alot easier for you" he pointed to the deer's arteries on his neck "try and bit one of those you get the most"

He looked at her. If the Council knew the spies worked for Lavender and him, things were much worse. At least for him that is.
"I believe they have a sense they are. Why they are being so careful is beyond me. I would expect we will know within the coming week. It wont take long for more to come and investigate, and then soon the Council will have a decision, or someone working outside the normal channels."

Aria swallowed and nodded. She was thankful he'd made the deer pass out otherwise she didn't think she could make herself feed through its pitiful cries. She knelt down and bit the deers neck its hot blood poured into her mouth. At first it disgusted her but it slowly got sweeter, and she began drinking ravenously. It was like the more she drank the thirstier she got. Finally she managed to pull herself away an felt its blood run down her face. She staggered back and a panicked gasp lodged itself in her throat threatening to transform into a scream or choke her. Her heart slammed in her throat and she saw things in painful detail. She felt alive but more so she felt like a monster because she enjoyed it. "Oh God..." she whispered and helped at the burn his name caused.

lance walked over to aria and put his hand on her shoulder and said gently "aria no matter how wrong this seems to you it must be done to survive" he pulled a handkerchief out of his jacket and handed it to her so she could clean herself up

She sighed softly and actually crossed an arm acrossed her stomach grabbing her other arm in her hand, her nails digging into her arm, the pain seemed to help her keep a clear head and not actually panic like she felt like doing. Her eyes set outside constantly moving, watching for things other than the wolves"They do not want to start a war, not here, not now, not with no way to cover a massacre. You know the Council as well as I do Voro, they would not leave any of us alive once they figure it out. And I am sure that the two of us they would try to take back with them. You know as well as I do the price for getting caught with spies within the Council, they will not care that we are technically among the exiles. Someone working outside the normal channels is likely, but my Father would not be this subtile and neither would yours. Who else has a reason to wish us harm?" She looked back at him, her eyes holding an old pain, old sorrow and she actually let the fear and panic she felt show in them, knowing only Voro and Jinx had a chance of figuring out exactly what it was. Her nails dug into her arm hard enough blood weld around her nails and slowly trickles down her arm. "I cannot go back there Voro I will see my self caught and dead before I go back to being the Councils lap dog and killer. I cannot deal with more death on my hands, I have killed far too many already."

Aria took the handkerchief and wiped her face off. She looked up at Lance and felt a sob grip her chest. She threw her arms around Lance and buried her face in his chest. She gave an agonized cry and clenched his shirt in her fists. "How can you do this? I'd rather die than feel so evil."

He couldnt let his own calm be damaged, not with it as shakey and fragile as Lavenders. Her fears were his own, th eonly time he would go back, is dead. ALong side her. He thought and thought. When Ariella spoke his eyes darted to her nearly piercing through her, unintentionally.
"They are the eyes, ears, and grunts for the council. THey do as they are ordered, They are efficient killers and hunters. They could hunt across the world if they had to. But they never leave Russia. Which means, someone is either playing a game with us, or someone has made the Council see things their way."
Voro knew his words were chipping away at Lavender. He eyed her very carefully as he willed a rag to him and placed it underneath her arm.
"THe wolves will come in their time. We will certainly know more with time. THough we all know, time is never onour side."

lance looked down at aria "it is always hard at first more so for you because of your religious faith" he put his arms around although uneasily "i think of it as this is steak evil? not at all and all we are doing is basically the same thing"

She glanced at Ariella nodding with what Voro said "They hunt, they are normally only used to find those who are on the run." She looked down at her arm when Voro moved, she slowly pulled her hand off her arm, her nails out of her skin letting the wounds heal "Sorry..." her voice soft barely audioable. She sighed and looked at Ariella "In my lifetime I have never heard nor read anything of them ever being sent out of Russia, normally if there is someone out of Russia that the Council wants. They will send a Catcher after them, so they can be brought back alive. To be excuted in front of the Council itself, because normally the Council is with the wolves on the hunt." She rubbed her arm the blood disappearing "Someone is breaking thousands and thousands of years worth of protocal sending them out this far, expecially without a guard. They are hunting alone." Her voice was completely empty, hollow of everything.
