"You're young. You'll have a lot of moments where you'll think it's a good idea and then it won't be later. Just how it works...call it a learning experience." Was this awkward or not? He couldn't tell at all anymore. But he watched her again as she was starting to succumb to reverie once more. "Seems your mind wants leave."
Piper had merely lead, stopping a moment to tell Malik that she was indeed going with Meilikki and to not work himself into a reverie coma. That was never good, but he wanted her out anyway and well, Meilikki was the only one avaliable at all at the time it worked. She smiled lightly. "An hour is nothing to an elf..." They had forever. Though she wasn't thrilled about too much right now. "So then...this is it. Be odd not having you there anymore...dare I say I'll worry more." Of course a particular breeze was following after...hey she was planning on coming back home quick for comfort from Malik and what not.

"Yes, I suppose I had become accustomed to the voices I heard outside my room, although I wasn't much of a guest since Tanunadra died." Then she smiled, "worry more over what?"
She turned her head and looked out of the window, at the nothing that they passed by. "It will be odd for me as well, I think. I am not altogether certain what it is that I can offer my new king, and fear being a useless figurehead."

"Yes I'm sure I will." She snuggled down deeper into the couch and her bare foot rested lightly against the bare skin of his side. "No, I don't think it does. I'm just..." She arched her back up off the couch briefly and threw her arms up over her head, settling in. "You're not leaving, are you?" Then she chuckled, "Here you were all relaxed and now I've taken over your couch." She was feeling quite carefree today. Watching him from her spot on her back, she tilted her head inquisitively, "Would you like your solitude back?"

"Worry about your safety...I don't want you to get hurt." That worry among other worries...like getting pregnant and what not. But she shook her head lightly at that. "But I'm sure you'll be fine...I've got to stop worrying so much lately." A little shrug. "Well...you'll always have a place to come back to if you feel the need to Meilikki, remember that."
He watched her go about getting herself quite comfortable on the couch...where he usually took reverie...but no mind to that he could reverie anywhere really. "No, I'm not going anywhere...and you can stay if you wish." Taking a moment to swallow down some blood before scooting down the couch to give her some room, hands reaching up to rub at his ears, trying to get rid of the feeling she had put in them before grabbing the tunic he had been working on earlier...he was feeling....well he didn't knwo.

The baby chose that time to make itself comfortable as well, squirming and flipping about in her stomach then kicking a few times. Her hand moved down instinctively to cover the spot even while her stomach moved beneath her hand. Then it fell to the side resting by her leg and she nodded. "Good. I don't want you to go anywhere and I don't particularly want to move myself." Her mind was drifting between the trance and wakeful world.

Malik let Piper handle Meilikki, and he went about buisness. these slaves needed to be checked for certain things. others needed further training. Arthur needed to be trained a bit, and Malik would see that it woudl be done acording to his regimentation.
And of course more deals and brokering to do through the Andal gate, though the brigade hated his guts. good for them. maybe next time they'll learn he means exactly what he says.

He watched her touch at her stomach a moment and yes his mind wondered what was going on in their breifly before it chastised him to keep to himself before he ended up in another situation like just now. Awkwardness wasn't fun. "Well then...I guess we'll be keeping company for a few hours more..." Yeah concentrate on what you were doing before and she'd eventually slip into reverie.

But like a pregnant woman she suddenly changed her mind and pushed back up so that she was leaning against the arm of the couch. Watching him a moment she suddenly wondered something. "Do you want to feel? The baby's kicking." Sure enough there went that ripple again. She couldn't say what made her ask him just...something. Perhaps a need to link him to what was going on and since he couldn't feel it personally maybe second best was the way? She didn't really know but now had no choice but to go with it. "Only if you want to of course..." she trailed off uncertainly.

And she thought better of reverie apparently. That was okay, he could sit here and stay focused and not worry on her. If she wanted to loiter around him then she was entitled to do it. After all, he was providing her comfort with his presence and that was good for her...not to mention their deal conditions. A momentary break from what he was doing, once more rubbing a hand over his ears. Good gods...
Though his attention was drawn to her again at her question and she looked at him with a blink. "I can?" As if this was some new concept to him. He kind of felt the need to persue the request seeing as it had been offered to him. "Sure...if you don't mind..." Because he had to touch her to do so.

She laughed softly and nodded, "Yes, you can. After all it is yours." Then to spur him along she reached over and laid her hand over his, picking it up and placing his palm over the spot the baby most often kicked. "Just wait for it, it will happen." A few minutes passed and she held his palm there, keeping him from moving it too early. After a little more time passed she brightened briefly and shifted his palm a little to the left. Sure enough the baby decided to start up the action again adn she felt the flutter in her and then he'd feel the movement beneath his hand. "See?" she glanced up and her lips twitched a little.

Arthur sighed as he stood in his room, his mind going over what had happened and it just frustrated him. The fight with Zahara and then his spat with sevilin then his talk with the female drow afterwards and then that one kiss...yeah that was going to haunt him for quite awhile. There was a few things he needed to do though, he wanted to talk to Piper's father about if he heard anything about anything related to the Coldiron clan, second he needed to find a tutor in magic so what happened between him and Zahara could never happen again. So he sat there on his bed and wondered who could train him, well Zahara was out of the question since she's pregnant, Piper and her parents...no since they may be busy at times and can't teach him; Malik hell no he didn't need anything from that guy pretty soon. So that left Sevilin, and after what happened Arthur didn't feel like going near the guy; not that he blame him for what happened he sees the truth in what went on, he just feels like an idiot for going at him the way he did. I've lived with humans for too long...they were right there has to be some things I should change about myself for the better... But still even if he did the guilt he had for acting like that towards Sevilin still bugged him a bit. "I should say sorry at least before I ask..." he muttered and sighed. After thinking it over for a bit he slapped his hands on his leg and stood up. "Might as well talk to him and ask!"
So Arthur went out of his room and thought over where the best place Sevilin could be, either it be in the dining hall or the library. Thinking that the library was the best bet the young elf headed over there first, when he reached the doors he could hear two people talking to each other and he could peg one of them as Sevilin. Not wanting to barge in on who ever he was talking he lightly knocked on the door and waited.

"Worry for me?" She chuckled softly. "I am hardley worth the effort. You have closer people to you to be worrying about, dear." She held up a hand to stop protest. "I am not the most important person in your life, worry should be granted to those who are."
"But then, I am flattered. There are few who worry about me now." Her smile was genuine, and reached her eyes. This had been lacking in her of late, it seemed that perhaps she was regaining some of her former spirit. "And your offer is most appreciated. Although I hope for the sake of worry that it is not needed." She rubbed at the bracelet that Keely had given her, taking a bit of comfort in it's presence.

He blinked for a moment as she took hold of his hand and placed it on her stomach, letting it sit there a moment over thin veiling that was draped over her protruding stomach. Though he wasn't feeling anything...not quite sure if this was being done right until she moved his hand some and he indeed felt the little flutter of pressure from the being inside of her.
And Sevilin gave somewhat of an actual smile, a bit lopsided, but a smile none the less at the feeling. Now wasn't that fascinating...no wonder Cafell proclaimed women so worthy. Though that shouldn't give them license to treat men less than dogs. A nod to her question then. "More of feeling than seeing..." Just letting his hand stay there.
Though his ears did detect the knocking and his voice came out in a rather smooth tone compared to his usual answer style at the knocking. "Public place, no need to knock." Same answer he'd given to Zahara...well he was right anyway.
"You speak of then my husband and my family...but without you, I wouldn't have any of those. Without Malik, I'd be lost and never would have gone back to my parents. You're more than you think Meilikki and worth my effort." And there would be no two ways about that, which was clearly told in the smile she gave Meilikki. "It's one of your homes Meilikki, which means you're always welcome." Another nod, her smile brighter at Meilikki's own. "And I'll make sure to visit as much as I can. After all, can't let my friends grow distant and we still have unfinished business between us."

That smile of his was likely to be her undoing. Why, she couldn't say, perhas knowing that it was true spurred on the attraction blossoming between them. He'd had so little cause, if any to smile in his previous life and neither had she yet once they'd both moved away from that world a simple smile had become a familiar sight to them both. Gazing at him she watched the fascination light in his eyes and she wished for a moment that she could let him feel what she did, actually feel the baby moving within her body. She kept her hand over his until that knock startled her, so lost she'd been in the moment that was occurring between them, and she visibly jumped. Her hand left his a moment later and she ran a hand through her own locks though she didn't make any move to dislodge his hand. "I'm just glad it doesn't hurt at all." A shake of her head, "Another six months and it will all be done. Unless...I use other means..." testing him, seeing how he might react.

Her visible jump however had caused him to pull his hand back and right his posture some as well, becoming aware of the moment and what not. Uncomfortable feelings settled over him now and he once again brushed at his ear. Though he raised an eyebrow at her then at her statement. "Other means?"
