It's never a fair fight in a cutscene. Never.
It's either the bad guys mud-stomping the good guys, or the main character getting beat down before awakening some hidden power and utterly destroying the enemies.
Isn't there a trope for that, too? o wo

It's the second one in G.U. Constantly. sweatdrop Got to be a bit much at times, really. I mean, when every fight goes the same way (Cheating!), it's sorta...

I'd like to see a game where there is a fair fight in a cutscene.
I mean the first fight against Virgil in Devil may cry 3 is a good example, Virgil was implied to be the stronger of the two brothers, but they were both clearly running out of breath by the end of the fight. I mean, in-game said fight IS a boss fight you have to win, but given the cutscene that follows, you don't feel like you need to call bullshit, despite the fact that Dante loses in the end.

Good cutscenes integrate game and story well. Bad ones... not so much. XD; Oh well. It's not *usually* too glaring, so.... yeah. *Sips tea* ^^
...Oh, I should note that the entire first game is basically one giant tutorial for the rest of the series, considering how limited you are in everything you can do. It doesn't even begin to really open up until the second game. XD;

I don't doubt that. I think the first .Hack game was at least a little like that. I never finished the original series, sadly. Copies of Pt.3 Outbreak are so hard to find. ;_;
Thinking back on it. It makes me kind of sad...

Eeyup. And they never really re-released it as a compilation pack or anything. XD; I'm sorta hoping they'll do full set for $20 on the PSN or something; I could dig that.

In every store I looked through I could only find Infection, Mutation and Quarantine. I don't think I ever once saw a copy of outbreak...
