Shadow felt a slight comfort from Nadea's words. 'Yes, I do have you. Thank you, for always being around'. He let out a sigh, the thing he needed right now was for Cassidy to come back. The last thing he wanted was to be alone ont he night before a battle, it always made him tense without. "I'll manage on my own Tyrn. You can try messing with thier troops. Keep away for the wights though, they still have a will of thier own." he said as he finished his drink. "I think I am going to go to my room and stare at the ceiling for a while. I won't be getting any sleep tonight." he said as he placed the glass ont he table.

"Alright but if you need me let me know." Tyrn said as Shadow was leaving. Shadow made a good point. He couldn't sleep either and wouldn't even begin to sleep in a Sakura scent saturated bed. He decided to stay downstairs and drink. he wondered if he could handle those Wights that Shadow had mentioned. After what happened tonight he doubted that he could do anything helpful other than die. No, get those thoughts out of your head! He told himself.

Nadea followed Shadow upstairs to his room, "No funny business..." she smiled, trying to make him laugh as she kicked off her shoes and set them near the door. She sat down on the bed next to him and leaned her head against his shoulder, "Everything is going to be alright Shadow...we'll get her back."

Shadow managed to let out a very small half hearted laugh as he kicked off his boots and removed his cloak. "I hope you are right Nadea. I don't know how much longer I can take this. I am being led astray to easily without her here." he said. Shadow's last remnants of hipe clung to the memories of Cassidy, not willing to let go of them but even in time the most stuborn of things fade.

"Only if you want a serious answer." he responded as he felt his muscles being worked on. The last time anyone had done this was after the last battle with Marquis' forces. He had grown use to being tense in the time since that battle

Shadow thought for a moment before responding. "No, I spent 67 years with my first wife. It's not that long I know. I can understand why you think that I am afraid of it...." He paused as he though again. "Maybe I kind of am afraid of it, afraid of loosing them like I did... I guess I really don't know."

Shadow smiled a proper smile, "I am glad that you think so, Nadea," he said. he heard her yawn and almost felt guilty abotu keeping her up for longer than she needed to be. He lay down next to her and turned onto his side so the he was looking at her. "You look shattered, Nadea. I haven't seen you like this since... ever." he said.

"I'll see you in the morning, Nadea. We will kick alot of a** tomorow and possibly save a life." he wispered as he started to relax a little having comapnay in his room felt good, he had missed it. Shortly after he had spoken those final words he drifted off into a deep sleep.
