uuugghhh.... I got to class an hour early to work on my final that I haven't had a chance to work on all week because I misplaced some files only to find that the program is currently experiencing licensing issues on the school computers so I can't work on anything and today is the last day of class... =^=
So I've been sitting around for the past 2 hours doing nothing while the school tries to figure out how to get the license back up.

I got a job by the way, at JoAnn Fabric & Crafts working at the cut counter~
Sorry I've been a little inactive lately, I'll catch up on what I've missed later today after I get some sleep.

That's one of many things that happen when schools and universities rely on paid proprietary software for all their work; licenses 'accidentally' s**t themselves once in a while.

As for the new job, nice! Fabric is fun to work with :3

Yeah, they couldn't get it up and running today so we couldn't even have our final class. My teacher was just like '******** it, you're all getting a good grade on the final because this place can't get their s**t together' and told us to go home.

biggrin and yes! I'm excited to be working there, I'm just a little nervous because if I accidentally cut something wrong I can get in trouble for making them lose merchandise.. emotion_0A0

Finals in the middle of September...? Isn't the first round of exams supposed to be coming just now?

Congrats on the job and the free A, though.

My school goes by quarters, not semesters. 11 week classes with alternating 1 week/3 week breaks in between. So I have next week off and then I start my new classes.

Well, glad things are going somewhat well, even if unexpected.

Ah, I see. That sounds stressful, though, having twice as many exams even if the classes are shorter. >.<

Exactly what I was referring to.

In the meantime I'm figuring out how to get a 3.5 campaign ready by next Friday. I've been volunteered by someone else to be DM. If I can't get anything done I can always run Kill Puppies for Satan to buy myself another two weeks' time.

aye, I tried returning to the Friday Game Nights, but the group is so large now that it's impossible to manage... it's too loud, it takes too long to get to any given person's turn, and overall there is far too much chaos. so I decided to just start my own new splinter group.

probably won't run it on the same night, since I'm alreday unreliable on that night. but I am trying to get a few players to join. just need to coordinate with them all together, and that's turning out to be more difficult.

anywho, what's Kill Puppies For Satan about?

I'm more miffed that I have to DM a full game (of a system I haven't played, only read about) while only having played a handful of sessions of a game of a different system.

Kill Puppies for Satan is a rules-light rpg about a group of puppy-killers doing petty evil things in the name of Satan. They accumulate evil points used to do all kinds of crazy s**t.

sounds like a blaST! biggrin I love rules-light games. ^_^ the way I see it, you shouldn't be forced t run something you don't want to. might as well just stick to Kill Puppies.

from similar threads, there were tons of other eccentric rpgs. Another one that caught my interest was Everyone Is John, a game in which each player is a part of John's mind and barks orders at him. All at once. I don't have links though.
