As he got closer, he became more cautious. This was too easy, and Naraku would do something like this. He was closer to the head now. The place was surrounded by poisonous insects. they were drawn there somehow.

Kagome yelled to Inuyasha, "I can shoot it with my arrow if you want! That way the insects will be destroyed as well!"

Inuyasha didn't answer. For some reason he was drawn to it too. It looked like anything with some demonic powers nearby was there. He jumped back. "What is it?"

Sango sensed a very stron aura jut like Naraku's "Inuyaha thi aura iits as strong as Naraku's!" she yelled "Be careful!"

Kumi was also drawn to it, She shook her head and snapped out of it.

" I don't know why...but this aura isn't so bad." Inuyasha said. He walked towards it. The insects buzzed. "This is strange. I don't see anything bad about it." the aura called tothe bugs, and the demons. Some demons surrounded it again. It was pulling them towards it.

Kagome shot her arrow and it hit the jewel. The jewel burst into what seemed like a million pieces.

Sango ran to him and grabbed his arm "Are you crazy?" she asked looking at him "Its a trap! this aura is as strong as Naraku's! he's luring you into a trap!" she sad trying to pull him away "Kagome, help me!"

Inuyasha snapped out of it. He watched the pieces scatter. "You broke the jewel?...AGAIN?!?!" Inuyasha shouted. "After all this time?!?!"
Naraku laughed. "That was not the jewel! A mere duplication." He began to lift into the sky. "If you want the jewel, you'll have to wait." Naraku began to disapear in a large cloud of miasma.
"HEY! You're not getting away!" Inuyasha ran after him.

Inuyasha tried to jump high enough to catch Naraku, but the miasma departed, and there was nothing there. "DAMNIT! I let him get away!" He fell back down to the ground, and ran back to the others.

Kumi dissapeared to the river after Naraku was gone. "Damn." Kumi looked at her wounds.
