Minerva the Marvelous Minerva sighed. "All right, if no one else is going to do it, I'll take command." She glanced at Silent Lucidity. "You go in first through the second story, backtrack and knockout anyone in the path from the entrance. Braddock, is there anyway you could cause a quick surge to cut off power to cameras or any security systems around the main entrance of the building?" "Chief, you, Eldst, and I, are fire power. We don't kill unless necessary, but we're not throwing spittballs either. Cat, you'll work as a scout, and you will be sent ahead to see if things are clear." "Are we good?" "I'll just need a few seconds to trace back to the breaker. As for the enforcers, why not put the Grid back up and destroy them while they're inert? I'm sure Jehric had backup controls somewhere." Silent Lucidity nodded and rose from the vehicle toward the second floor windows, fading from everyone's awareness as she went. [10, 5, 50]

She turned to Bobby, "I'd rather not get stuck in a grid again, personally, and it looked like Xeen may have destroyed the control stuff for the grid entirely." She shrugged, hoping someone else would explain the details.

"What I saw Soltari destroy was the computer that housed the control software. There should be at least one backup copy of that software someplace and Jehric should either know where it is or how to find out. Besides, most of us will probably be busy outside the city fighting off the other AoS forces while the non-powered troops break up the enforcers. Once the enforcers are destroyed, we take the Grid down again."

Once the enforcers are destroyed, we take the Grid down again." "Grid goes up, and the Enforcers fall apart, and when it goes back up, they reform off of anything nearby. Good idea, but implausable." He then turned back to the Chief, "Enforcers are specifcly designed by Xeen to deal with Supers by the handful. The lot of us versus a couple three enforcers? Not a chance."

"Then we switch places with the bad guy and hold the nukes over Xeen's head. We have New Phoenix, he knows we could easily rebuild there. We've got enough standing firepower to hold off any real assault, even without walls. The bad guy was a fluke. But for now, I'm tired of waiting, and if we go too long without getting shot out, I'm gonna lose my adrenaline."
The Chief walked up to the door, his free arm lighting up with black mist. The mist moved quickly, engulfing the door for a second, then dispersing, leaving an empty doorway.

"Huh, that worked nicely." Sahira said, letting herself down from the chief's arm. "I'll scout up a head, see if I can spot the redhead, and whatever else is in the way. Feel free to follow behind." She moved into the doorway and headed towards the hall, her feet not making a single sound.

The Chief followed quickly, keeping his rifle at the ready as they snuck in. He lightly hummed the 007 theme as he went, moving down the hallway.

Arch the Angel The Chief followed quickly, keeping his rifle at the ready as they snuck in. He lightly hummed the 007 theme as he went, moving down the hallway. ((*remembers when this was supposed to be a really quick event of defeat what's his bucket and run*)) "I can hear you three halls down...and you're off tune."Sahira peeked her head back around the corner and gave the chief a slight glare. "Most of the second and first level is cleared thanks to our redheaded friend. We can make a clean break to the stairwell and bypass the third and fourth level, go straight to the fifth, where I'm assuming every madman keeps his nuke controls...unless he's a basement freak. Anyone know if he's a basement freak?"

"You are too." Sahira followed and pushed ahead of him, her ears open for the sounds of enemies. She put a finger to the Chief's lips to hush him. "Quiet voice, Onyx." She whispered, "there are playmates guarding the entry door for each level."
