Hedoro
Hedoro sat in her room, the light flicked on to give her light to see. It was now pretty much night, the sun had hidden behind the trees, masking the area in dark. People could still see where they were going, but overall the academy was done for the day. She felt a little hungry but didn't dare go eat with everyone else. It was hard enough masking her nature without having to worry about that little fact. So instead, she just continued reading. She opened the book she'd borrowed once more, finding her place and resuming her quest for knowledge. The Uchiha clan had been the last one listed for Leaf, now the book began to deal with other famous clans. Some villages only had two or three pages, or even an honorable mention, but a few others had quite lengthy articles. Hidden Sand, for instance. Several of the clans from that particular village had gained quite a high degree of fame in the passing years, and with good reason. Some of the skills they possessed, the things they'd done, were certainly attention-catching.

Hayate stood against the tree and started to walk highed and higher. He saw a sturdy branch and walked right underneath it. "Hmmm a very interesting technique as well." He said as he was upside. In his mind he was pretty amazed that he had caught on so fast. He had thought the training would bemuch more grueling and much more difficult. Although it could be that all those years of harsh treatment and ridiculous training was actually paying off. He started to have a flash back of his past as he set a portion of his mind to keep concentration so he didn't fall on his head.
1/6 water walking.
His mind went to when Hayate was only 5 years old. Though his survival training happened when he was first born. His family was never their for him and he just had a cruel nanny to help him live. He was five years old and he was already doing physical tests to enhance his resistance to the bitter cold. They placed him along with his class into a huge ice cage that barely had any heat in it. They were kept in it for an hour and then released. This killed off a few of the weaker students but the ones that survived this test only grew stronger and stronger for it.
2/6
The next memory that flashed into Hayate's mind was when he turned 8 years old. After three years of punishing his body with grueling and inhuman like training for the body, his benimaru clan subjected his mind and that of the classes who were benimaru to extreme mental training. They were attacked constantly by genjutsu techniques and were pushed to the point of insanity. If a Benimaru had lost their mind during the training they were led outside just to be stabbed in the neck by a kunai. Hayate knew that he had to be as strong as Ice and just as Cold if he wanted to survive this kind of training.
3/6
Xin saw that Hayate was doing nothing more then simply standing from beneath the tree. He wondered if he was alright and started to walk toward him. "hey Hayate you ok over there?" Xin asked as he was right next to him. Hayate snapped out of it as he looked at Xin. "Yeah...just brought back some memories after I did this technique." He saidto Xin as he jumped and flipped to the ground. Landing perfectly on his feet. "So I know since I don't have my head band yet that you still have another technique for me to learn. Lets hurry up and gets this one over with."
4/6
"Ahh so very perceptive. well then. This will be your last technique Hayate. After this technique is mastered by you, you will get to earn your headband and be recognized as the shinobi from the hidden Night village."Xin said as he was walking toward a stream. Hayate smirked as he saw that the end was so very very near. Hayate follwed Xin and wondered what this next technique was going to be. "Hey Xin. care to tell me why we are walking toward a river? Is this a water based ninjitsu?" Xin simply laughed a bit. "Yeah I guess you could say that.
5/6
Xin stopped in front of the water for a few moments. "Hmmm...ok then."Xin started to walk out onto the water. hayate watched as he wondered why he was walking into the stream. Xin was walking and was amazingly walking atop the water. "This is what we call water walking technique. A useful technique that will enablethe user to walk above water and atop a whole new field. Xin then began to tell Hayate how to do the technique. "Hmmm I think I got it. "Hayate jumped up in the sky and focused his chakra to his feet. Then he landed on the water as if it were th ground. "Nice." Xin said as he pulled a headband from his backpocket. "Guess you earned it. Hayate." Hayate took the headband and wrapped it around his upper arm.
Xin smirked as he saw that. "Well don't thank me yet. your life as a shinobi has just started Hayate." He said as he gave him a handshake. "Congratulations on becoming a gennin."
6/6 Complete. Attained Gennin status.

"I still don't understand why I have to learn water walking...I have no need to walk on water...I am not Jesus...you know that? I really don't even like water it gets you all wet and stuff...and who cares about water walking...This is so much waste of my time you know that Iruka sensei? I could be out learning Kage No Bunshun or something like that..Why Water Walking?"
Iruka looked at Jono and he isghed slwoly as he scratched his head.
"Are you done now?" ----
"Yes..."
Jono said slwoly as he walked out towards the lake front. Iruka looked at Jono and he scratched his head slowly.
"Well Look its simple...all you ahve to do is use your chakra and connect it to your feet...then all you have to do is keep your balance while ontop of the water and walk...YOu got that Jono." Jono lookeod at Iruka with a brief sigh as he laughed hard and he started towards the lake front. ----
Jono looked and he balanced his chakra in his feet as he took a step on the water. Jono looked and he smirked as he first took his step and he then took his second step. Jono was standing completly on the water. Jono then looked at Iruka.
"Now what?"
IRuka looked at Jono and he pulled out his lunch pale.
"Run across the lake before I finish eating your lunch."
Jono looked and he sighed slwoly as he started to go faster ontop of the water. Jono was carefully taking his steps while starting to run across the lake top quickly. He made it to one side of the lake and then back to the other side. He was huffing and puffing as he took the lunch back from Iruka.
"See I did it."

Tamao
Tamao had continued chatting with her friends, stopping every so often for a bite to eat or a drink, and the time just seemed to pass her by. She knew she'd been sitting there for a while, but not nearly as long as what she actually had. Once the conversation began to die down, she finished her meal and bade her friends farewell. It was getting late, and she still had quite a bit of stuff to do before she went to sleep. Some more studying, preparing her things for tomorrow, and she had been thinking about taking a nice long soak in the hot springs. Dropping off her tray, she left the cafeteria and went towards the dorms. She hadn't seen Hedoro yet, wasn't she getting hungry yet? They hadn't eaten anything the entire time they were studying, and if she hadn't come down for supper yet, then she must be getting hungry by now. Maybe she should have brought somethign up to her, like she'd done before? It was a little too late for that now, she was already at the dorms, and didn't really want to go all the way back to the cafeteria and then back to the dorms yet again, all at once. She reached her room, and opened the door.

Hedoro
Hedoro had continued reading the entire time Tamao was at the cafeteria, and she had actually finished the book. She felt proud, and a little surprised. She hadn't really read an entire book under her own willpower before. The information seemed useful, too. Now she knew some more about the world around her, not just the area where she was at the time. Maybe what she learned wasn't too important, but then again, maybe it was? Setting the book down on the desk, she got to her feet. She hadn't done very much activity at all today, so she hadn't used much energy. As a result, she wasn't really that hungry. She had tucked away a few things she could eat in a pinch, but she didn't think she'd need to use up any of her provisions. Sure, she could eat, but she didn't really want to. Both because of finding a private enough place to eat was pretty hard in a community area like the academy, and she didn't want to take in too much food and gain weight. She was just starting to think about what to do next when she heard a faint sound just outside of her room. Perking her head up, she turned around to face the door, and watched as it opened. She was pretty sure she knew who it was, but it never payed to assume things that you didn't have to.

Tamao
Tamao opened the door carefully, and stepped inside of the room. She saw Hedoro standing, watching the door as if she expected someone other than Tamao to come through. She smiled, Hedoro's paranoia-fueled demeanor was kind of amusing, as long as she didn;t go too far with it. Nobody would be coming to get her, least of all here at the academy! Who could she possibly be, that she even thought like that? She saw the closed book laying on the desk and remarked on it. When Hedoro admitted she'd finished it, Tamao was surprised, almost as much as Hedoro had been. See, she was a good student if she tried! Tamao mentioned a few other books Hedoro might want to give a shot, but then paused in mid-sentence. What was that? Something faint was tickling her senses, she wasn't even sure what it was. A touch, or a scent? A sound? It was so faint she wasn't even sure what it was, or how she'd noticed it, whatever it was. Going silent, she tried to figure out what it was.

Hedoro
Hedoro relaxed somewhat as Tamao walked in. Not totally, she could still be someone in disguise, right? She hadn't noticed it, but that book hadn't been the perfect choice for Hedoro to read. Naturally paranoid, reading about all those people who possessed so much more power than her made her feel somewhat threatened, and her paranoia was on the rise. She was stillw atching Tamao closely, to see if she was a fake. She seemed real enough, she looked the same as the last time she'd seen her. Same clothes, hair style, height, weight, dimensions, it all looked the same. She even sounded the same, and what she said sounded just like what Tamao would say. Hedoro was just about to completely relax, when Tamao suddenly went silent in mid-phrase, her head tilted quizzically. Had something happened? It seemed Tamao was trying to detect something. This wasn't really like her, maybe it was an imposter after all?

Tamao
Tamao didn't seem to notice her roommate's growing consternation, instead she was focusing purely on that thing. With as much focusing as she was doing, she could actually figure out what it was. It was a smell. Kind of odd, something she couldn't quite identify but she knew that at the least it wasn't very pleasant. Not a stink, but certainly no bouquet of flowers. She moved around the room slowly, trying to find the source of the smell while not stirring the air up too much. She circled around the outer edge of their room, it didn't seem to be there. That would mean it had to be near the center. Maybe under one of their beds? It was possible, she hadn't done a really good clean in here yet, maybe she'd missed something the previous resident left behind. She continued her search, moving back and forth across the room, trying to find the source. She still had no idea what her odd actions were doing to Hedoro, and she hadn't even mentioned the smell yet, either.

Hedoro
Hedoro watched as Tamao continued to prowl around the room, it looked like she was searching for something. But what? She didn't say what it was, or ask for help. Was it that she didn't want her to know what it was, or maybe where it was? It's not like she had a diar- wait. Her diary? Hedoro glanced over at the bottom of the desk, she could still see the very corner of Tamao's diary peeking out from under it. Could that be it? But that was where it was when she first found it, why wouldn't Tamao just look there for it first? Unless she knew? Hedoro had almost read it, if Tamao knew it had been touched, then maybe she thought Hedoro had read it. Her nervousness warred with her paranoia and ultimately won. She wasn't concerned about Tamao being a fake, instead she was worried about what would happen if Tamao really thought she had read her diary. She couldn't very well point it out to her, that would prove she knew of it. What could she do? Just wait, see what Tamao would do on her own? Nothing else seemed likely.

Sora walked into the academy with a bounce in her step and a smile on her face. She couldn't wait to see what she would be learning in the academy today. As she walked into the classroom she saw Iruka Sensei.
"Hey Iruka Sensei! What are we doing today?" she said with exictment in her voice and a smile on her face.
"Good morning Sora! Today we are going to be learning and practicing your Bushin no Jutsu. Now can you tell me what that is?" he asked her with a smile.
"Sure! It is the jutsu that allows you to make multiple clones of yourself. That way you can use one or more of the clones as distractions so you can get away or try to ambush the enemy." she replied with a bright face.
"Well then, I guess you don't have to listen to me tell you about that." he said putting his right hand behinde his head and closeing his eyes with a smile on his face. Wow she's another book smart girl! he thought to himself. "Well then let me show you how it is done." He then put together the needed hand signs to do this jutsu and then when he was done he had made two clones of himself. "Now you give it a try!" him and his clones said in unisine.
"Okay, here goes nothing!" she then tryed to imitate the hand signs that Iruka Sensei had just shown her. But her try wasn't all that good. She only was able to make one clone and it couldn't even stand. It was more of a lump on the floor.

Tamao
Tamao got down on the floor and peered under the bed. No, nothing seemed to be there, at least nothing that she could see. The odor hadn't gotten stronger, either, so that was a dead end. How about the second bed? She moved over to it, and moved the sheet aside, looking under it. Nothing. Both were more or less clean, except for a small accumulation of dust, she'd have to do a good clean in the room later. But first, she had to find that odor. It was bugging her! She got up, dusting her hands and clothes off. She'd eliminated the edges of the room and the beds, that left the open area where she was standing, the area where Hedoro was, and the desk. She didn't think it was anywhere that close to her, that left the desk or something by Hedoro. Going to the desk, she carefully opened one drawer after the next, but none of them held anything that could possibly produce that scent. Sliding the last drawer closed, she straightened up, and turned to face Hedoro. The only place in the room that she hadn't checked was where she was standing.

Hedoro
Hedoro watched with growing unease as Tamao went towards the desk. To her, it looked as if Tamao was going directly for the diary, she could practically hear her accusation already. But she stopped herself from saying anything to incriminate herself, she hadn't actually read it, so she had nothign to worry about. Even so, she felt nervous as Tamao began to go through the entire desk, each drawer one by one. The fact that Tamao hadn't actually said anything yet wasn't making things any easier, either. Usually, Tamao was at least somewhat talkative, this intent silence felt odd. So when Tamao straightened up and looked right at Hedoro, chills went down her back. She felt like backing away, but stopped herself, sure her paranoia was just getting out of hand. She tried to will herself calm, and it seemed to work, at least somewhat. She felt much of her worry just vaporize and waft away, as if she had physically removed it from herself. She was still a little nervous, but not nearly so bad as before.

"Darn!" Sora said with a dissapointed voice. She was upset that she didn't get it. She could recite what it was but she couldn't even do it properly!
Iruka seeing the dissapointment in Sora's face said in a calm voice, "Don't worry, no one get's it right the first time around!" giving her a smile. "Just watch my hands carefully."
Sora watched Iruka as he showed her how to form the handseals again, but slower this time, so she could see everyone of them.
When Iruka was finished he looked up at her. "How about you try it agian now that you seem to know the handsigns."
"Okay!" she said and then she put the handsigns together again, slower this time. That way she wouldn't miss any this time. When she was finished, two clones appeared at her side. They were able to stand, but when she tryed to make them take a step forward, they fell apart again.

Tamao
Tamao advanced upon Hedoro, all her senses brought to bear on her task. She'd find the source, and that would be that! She looked around Hedoro, there was nothing on the floor that could be responsible. That left only a single option. Hedoro herself. She couldn't just ask outright, but she wondered if it actually was her roommate. Moving closer, she could smell the scent grow somewhat stronger, although it was still pretty subtle. By now, she was only standing a few feet away from Hedoro, and had pretty much finalized her decision. For whatever reason, the odd scent was coming from her roommate. She wouldn't ask why, if there was a reason and she needed to hear it, she'd let Hedoro offer it herself instead of prying. But at the least, she'd do what she could to take care of the problem. Looking at Hedoro with a critical eye, she came upon the most likely source of the scent. Not Hedoro at all, but her grungy, grimy 'outfit'. When was the last time she'd washed her clothes, or bathed, or even changed her clothes, for that matter?
