Alright, you can do this, you've battled many times, this is just like any other. Don't let my down Mike. The boy clenched his fists, quivering slightly. Think! Use Xanthos' water attack! Snapping back to the fight, Mike shook his head quickly, attemping to drive away the lack of confidence. "Xanthos, use Surf! Aim for the center of the smoke!" Smashing its claws onto the floor, a slight rumble could be heard from underneath the arena. Thrusting his hands upwards, a rather large wave appeared in front of the Crawduant, traveling towards the general direction of the Torkoal, or so he hoped.

"Let's go Onix. Use Bind!" Brock shouted to his pokemon. In an amazing burst of speed the large rock snake slithered and engulfed the much smaller Sunfire. "Ho crap." Mag sighed. "Try to get free Sun! Use your Ember!"
The flareon struggled to get out of the rigid enemy. It inhaled for a moment and then let out the small fireballs. But it was all to no avail. "Finish it of Onix!" Brock commanded. His pokemon began to put the squeeze on the smaller prey. Sunfire closed its eyes in total concentration and then it suddenly went limp.
Onix released Sunfire and it roared awaiting the next opponent. "Nice job Sunfire." Mag said as he picked up the tired pokemon and gave it a hug. He recalled it and then released his every ready Vaporeon, Tsunami.

Pallet town? Where is that? Akane thought. She rummaged in her bag as she and the victorious Twinkers followed Merle back towards the house. I guess I didn't put a map in here after all .... She did however find a white silk scarf and tied it around the Cleffa's head much like a bandanna.
“Thats adorable!” exclaimed Merle somewhat quietly, “It suits her”. She patted the tiny Cleffa fondly on the head, the tiny Pokemon obviously happy for the praise.
“Merle? Can I ask you something?” queried Akane. The older lady nodded assent. “How do I get to pallet town? I'd like to get a Pokedex, to know more about Twinkers ...” Akane finished meekly.

“Well, like I said, its way out in the boonies. Your best bet is to take the train there from here though it may take a while.”
Merle went to see Akane off from the train station. “You never know, I may end up trying my hand at being a trainer again. Keep your eye out for me. Take care!”
“The train will be departing Cerulean City in two minutes. Passengers are advised to board the train as soon as possible. Next stop is Saffron City.” The announcers voice rang through the station from many speakers.
“Well, I'd be best get on the train ... “Akane shuffled her feet a little then suddenly gave Merle a hug. “Thank you” she said quietly into Merle's stomach region. “ I'll send you some postcards.” And before she could get a response, Akane ran onto the train, scooping Twinkers into a hug on her way.

Helios watched as Dante sat down, his ears twitching. Not exactly ready to give up being the center of attention just yet, the Vulpix jumped up onto his lap and curled up, sniffing at the egg as he did so. He looked up at Dante, then back at the blue and orange egg before he manuvered his small body so that he was adding his own body heat to the egg in hopes of aiding it in hatching. Keegan chucled lightly, leaning back and crossing one leg over the other. "Traitor," he told Helios, who gave a cheeky grin in reply. "It shouldn't take too long," he added, answering Dante's question. "But then again, the one time I ended up in Kanto was because I fell asleep on the train." He shrugged, and glanced out the window as they pulled out of the station. "We might as well relax." He sighed, and closed his eyes, being sure to keep a good grip on the egg case.

Smiling at Helios's help with his egg lifting his hand and laying it on top of the cute little Vulpix's head he gently rubbed his ears. "Your a good help you know." He said. His other hand reached down to his belt and pulled out Kenny's pokeball and let out the small ghost pokemon. "Kenny this is Helios say hi all right?"
The small ghost pokemon floated down so he was next to Helios and stared at him curiosly for a moment befor sticking out a small ghost and and petting Helios softly for a second. "Mmurfh mueh mummeum"
Dante chuckled slightly at his pokemon befor leaning back further into the seat he was in and sighing. "Yeah, I just can't wait until I teach Bahamut fly and she evovles we can just fly around anywhere we want and wont have to wait on trains. That will be fun." He said with a small smile on his face as he imagined it again, that and his perhaps soon to be Flygon.

"Elementary," Flannery said softly, looking into the thick smoke where her Torkoal had concealed itself. If Torkoal had been hit by the aquatic attack or not, they wouldn't know, as the fiery tortoise didn't utter a sound. "Sunny Day!" she called simply, and a second later, the temperature of the room soared. The remaining water from the Crawdaunt's attack began to evaporate, a thick, hot steam rising up from the floor. A few beads of sweat appeared on the gym leader's forehead, but she didn't falter or flinch in the slightest.

Keegan watched the interaction between Kenny and Helios, his mind wandering. It had never occured to him that he could someday soar through the skies astride a flying Pokemon, he'd always relied on the trains and his trusty Acro Bike. The boy scratched his chin thoughtfully, his thoughts drifting the the Pokeball that contained Artemis, the tiny swallow Pokemon. She was far too small to be able to fly him anywhere, and he wasn't sure if she'd ever evolve or not. He then remembered Fang, Kasiya's green Crobat. As strange as he was, he had been able to fly with her, even if it had been over a short distance. "Yeah, that would be very convenient," he said, almost absentmindedly, only snapping back to reality when he almost dropped the case that contained the smooth, pale orange egg.
Helios had gone into a happy, trance-like state, and he showed his appreciation for Kenny's presence by licking the little ghostly hand. The Vulpix rarely had troubles making new friends, especially while he and his trainer were living back at home. The Vulpix had befriended just about every baby Pokemon that had been in Keegan's charge, only to have his heart broken each time the babies had been taken away by their new trainers.

Fang, enjoying his freedom for the time being, flew around, happy to be able to clear his head. He felt bad about letting Kasiya down in that battle, and he couldn't help but feel it was all his fault. If only he could have done things differently...
His thoughts were interrupted as he spotted the two trainers below, recognizing one of them. He gave a screech, and flew faster, ducking behind a building so he could turn around. The green Crobat flew back towards them, swooping down towards Mitsu. He flew into her, with not nearly as much force as he usually did with Kasiya, and clung to her front, making happy, muffled screeches as he did so.
Kasiya, after having no luck in locating her missing Pokemon, found herself in front of the gym. "I completely forgot," she muttered, pushing on the door, but finding it locked. "I was supposed to be watching Mike and Flannery battle." She glanced around, glad to see nobody was in sight as she slid her backpack from her shoulders, and opened the front pouch. In a matter of moments, she's jimmied open the door, and as she opened it, was greeted by a blast of hot air. She closed the door softly, after creeping inside, could smell the light odor of smoke and steam.

"Whoa!!" Mitsu screamed, completely taken by surprise as Fang flew straight into her, knocking her off blance. "Hey there," Mitsu managed to utter to the clinging Pokemon. After taking a few moments to find her voice Lauren spoke up. "Well that was certainly unusual. I wonder what a green Crobat would be doing out here."
Mitsu attemepted to get up, but the Pokemon clinging to her made it a much harder task. In the end she wasn't able to do it. "Why don't you cling to my arm instead Fang, I have to get up," Mitsu chuckled. She turned to Lauren ready to tell her about the unusual event. "I doubt this is a wild Crobat," Mitsu answered, "I'm sure he belongs to my friend Kasiya. Right Fang?"

Fang gave yet another excited screech, and let Mitsu go so she could get back up again. He happily flew in circles above the trainers' heads, his four wings making no noise whatsoever. Whatever his previous worries had been, they'd clearly been forgotten for the moment.

Mitsu got up and brushed herself off a bit. Assuming Kasiya must be somewhere near, Mitsu decided to simply continue her walk tot he Pokemon Center. "We're going to the Pokemon Center Fang, wanna come?" she asked her eyes following the Crobat's every movement. Lauren, too, was watching the Pokemon. "I've never seen an oddly colored Poekmon before," she said more to herself than anyone else.

"Alrighty then." Ryka replied, standing up. She put her hands behind her back and lightly bounced up and down, smiling. "What's the game plan, Jae?"

Jaeshan stood up as well, stretching his arms overhead, and appearing even taller than he was before. The nurse beckoned for him to come over, and he did, accepting four of his five Pokeballs. "What about Butterfree?" he asked, worry rising in his tone.
"I'd like to keep her overnight," the nurse said. "Her wing will heal, but she'll need a lot of rest. I don't recommend letting her battle for quite some time though."
Jaeshan nodded. "Thank you so much," he said, fixing the four Pokeballs into their usual slots. "Take good care of her." The nurse smiled, and turned to go back to her duties. "Game plan," he said, walking back over to Ryka. "Well, we should - " He was cut off as his PokeNav rang again, and he pulled it out to look. "Change of plans... meet me in Celadon. Celadon?" he muttered, snapping the device shut and looking around. "Where the heck is Celadon?" he asked.

Fang let out a screech of approval, and flew around the two trainers excitedly. He swooped around, his green skin shimmering in the sunlight, but never straying more than twenty feet from them. It had never occured to the Crobat that he looked different than others of his kind.
