Dragonzealot Rippers. Lots and lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots lots and lots and lots of Rippers. And your set. ...Now...how late into the invasion are we? lol. But I have actually considered just that. a small group of synapse with a guarding force, and pure rippers. actually sounds quite fun and comical. But I will plan on picking up some zoanthropes, as soon as I manage to codex it all up.. cuz countin points is hard.

its fun to have rippers swarm over hapless enemy units, though blasts are gonna ruin your life (say IG tanks heavy anyone?)

My lulzy army for nids includes a max squad of Warriors as the HQ choice, several max squads of Warriors as the Elite Choice, and again several more Warriors with the Wing Biomorph for the Fast Attack choice. So basically its an army of Warriors. Literally.

AV13 and 14 is gonna shove it up your a** with an iron rod, though. ...For heavy, take "Super Warriors" (aka Carnifexes).

Caleidah Also highly effective: Zoanthropes serving only as support units, done thusly. With the new combat resolution, leadership can really ******** over a unit quickly. So how do you -really- screw them over? Assault them with a "sure thing" victory unit and pelt the hell out of them with Psychic Scream. So: A single Fex charging a squad of Marines. You make, oh, two casualties. They don't inflict any wounds. Normally, they'd only be a -2 on their LD. Ld6. Respectable, but beatable. With two stacked Warp Screams, they're suddenly Ld4. That, my friend, is game changing. Psychic Choir armies were doing this back in 4th; Forget -2, Take 3 Zoanthropes and 2 Hive Tyrants all with Psychic Scream: -5 Ld on ALL checks. Then take some backup in the form of Barbed Strangler Carnifexes or Biovores, and suddenly any non-Fearless unit is testing for Pinning on Ld 5 or worse. Assault? Assuming you win by any real margin, they'll need to roll snake-eyes and invoke Insane Courage to stay in the fight.

re: biomorphs, its easy to go to town with them, but keep them low because you need numbers. my take is for shooty units better bs and str, for close combat units better ws and str, plus wings for mobiluty and for all big nasties armor/wounds/toughness upgrades work well...

Ok... Battle force and last edition Tyrant are in.. Now.. What the heck do I do? Reading through the codex, I see very little Tankbusting. This upsets me. Mildly. So, Mine issues (and rough list) are these: 1 Hive tyrant with: Winged, Enhanced Senses, Adrenal Glands (WS), Toxic Sacs. using Sword n Lash whip, with Twin Linked Deathspitter. Carnifex With: Tusked, Scything talons x2, Spine banks, Scythe tail, Spineback, Extended carapace Carnifex with: Enhanced Senses, Adrenal Gland (I), Extended carapace, Reinforced Chitin, Barbed Strangler, Venom Cannon 3 Warriors with: Scything talons and deathspitters, one venom cannon, flesh hooks, Enhanced Senses 7 Genestealers: Extended Carapace, with biomorphs thrown around as needed. (IE havent quite thought out fully.) 10 Termagaunts 10 Hormagaunts. Adrenal Glands. 3 Ripper bases hows that for a starting-preliminary-before-I-make-a-rough-list list. EDIT: Almost forgot my rippers. EDIT:EDIT:How many rippers to a base do I need to have to consider it a "ripper base"? TRIPLE EDIT: I am thinking of adding Adjunct third arms to my tyrant, for decorum purposes. would this offend anyone? I hope not, as a six armed, crazy, nasty lookin beastie sounds completely awesome to me.

For the RIppers. 3-5 iirc. Someone double Check me on that.
As for your Tank Busting. The Fex is all you need. Instead of giving him 4 Talons. Give him Crushing Claws. or if you want one that totally rapes infantry. x4 Devours.

Regardless, I think i may either change my shootan fex a bit, or wait until i can make a better third one... Honestly, i won't know until I get my list finished.

For your Rippers, put 3 to a base. Each base has three wounds, as I recall.

Well, there aren't any aids for this..but lets see if I describe how it'd work out. Take hive fleet behemoth, and replace the red with black. the inner musculature and striations underneath the red exoskeleton will be red. red specks like the second example hive fleet in the back of codex spots will be on the shell or carapace. red eyes with fade from red to blue claws and hooves. How does this sound as a colour scheme, fellow hive minds?
