Bard was trying te find out from a book. *Maggie furrows her brow slightly* I daresay he must be from and earlier time than I am, though.

*Luke enters the hallway from his room with a towel draped around his shoulders. He'd gone to Cora's room, only to find he didn't know how to operate a shower from the year 3000. After he showered in his own room, he put back on his old clothes, but already he feels refreshed from the shower and the time alone.*
*Luke shakes a little water from his damp hair. As he's walking down the hallway, he notices that the door to Maggie's room is slightly ajar.*
*Luke stops and peeks inside. To see Maggie and Cora looking over Sir David.*
*He opens the door and leans against the doorway.* Hey. *Luke nods to Sir David.* How's he doing?

Luke...
:::She seems surprised, and shes that he had managed to shower... but she looks down at the stranger for a moment then back again:::
I think he's going to be alright... have you met him?

*Maggie looks up at the sound of Luke's voice. Her concern for him comes rushing up, but once again, she refrains from saying anything. She nods toward him in greeting and then turns to Cora to explain*
He and Bard were both with me when he first came in. 'Twas them who moved him in here.

*Luke enters the door a little further to get another look at Sir David. He seems to be sleeping quietly now.* Yeah, Maggie brought in the stretcher and we used that to get him in here.

I take it that he doesn't understand where he is just yet...

*Luke watches Maggie fade.* See ya, Mag.
*Luke stands next to Cora.* Yeah, well... In his defense, I don't think any of us did.

Well, I meant... if this was his first time here. But it would seem so.
:::Cora released the gnode from her cuff this time, instead of her arm, and checked his temperature:::
:::The signal beeped a lower number:::
The drugs are working... but it will be a little while before I can tell if the infection is healing.
:::her brow furrowed in concern:::

*Luke squeezed her shoulder.* He's got a better doctor here than he would from wherever he came from. That's for sure.

:::If he really did come from before Maggie's time, that wasn't that great of a compliment, but she took what Luke meant as one:::
Thank you...
:::She put her hand over his where it lay on her shoulder, and stared at the patient for a moment... then yawned:::

*Her yawn is contagious. He does the same. Luke says to Cora.* You oughtta get some sleep.
*Just as he says this, Luke fades back to his own time -- where he winds up taking some of his own advice.*

:::Her hand was suddenly on her own shoulder as Luke fades out... it was good to see him off this time, in a way that she felt she'd see him again soon:::
:::Cora went and knelt down over the stranger to check his vitals. When she was satisfied, she pulled up a nearby chair, and sat down in it, figuring that since Maggie wasn't using the room, she wouldn't mind Cora staying in it to watch over the man.
She spotted the strange blue drawing on the skin of his arm again. What kind of creature was that depicted? She didn't try to touch it, she just eyed it closely:::

:::Before long, three days without a wink of sound sleep over fretting about the Seraphim got the best of her, and some nice simple fretting over a little fever and infection was a nice break... Within a few minutes Cora was asleep in her chair:::

:::Cora stirred many hours later. Her eyes lazily opened and focused. She was in Maggie's room... right, watching over the stranger. When she looked over at the bed where he layed she realized that her neck was stiff from sleeping upright. She stretched it from side to side before getting up and standing over the man:::
Hm...
:::He was still sleeping soundly. Once again she checked his temperature. Cora smiled when it read just under feverish. This was very good news. The antipyrites surely wore off a couple hours ago and the hypothalmus would be creating the fever effects as an imune reaction if the infection was still present. It could only mean that the bacteria in his wounds were being destroyed and his body was taking care of the rest....:::
She smiled, relieved.
:::Cora spent a minute to stretch for another second, then she picked up her belt, clasped it around the white button-down shirt she still wore and decided to get some food from out of the rec room. Some cold pizza was in order:::
*Exit Cora to Main Room 974*
