Valerian looked up from his position against the tree and met his father's tired eyes. He'd never seen his daddy look like this before, but he supposed that it was because he had been working so hard lately. However, he could see that his daddy wasn't upset and only wanted to get to the bottom of why everyone was arguing. The hybrid boy sat up, straightened his back, and offered his father a smile.
"Is it time to go home for the holiday, daddy?" He asked, tilting his head as his daddy nodded, seemingly disinterested in Dahlia's further protests. "... Can my friend come with us? He doesn't have anyone to go home to, and I don't want him to be left out. We can always come back tomorrow if the caretakers get worried!"
Dahlia couldn't believe that her daddy was ignoring all of her protests. It was his job to punish Valerian for being bad, why wasn't he doing what he was supposed to do? She puffed out her cheeks and folded her arms. This was bogus and Valerian knew it, he was only using his cute little face to get his way! She wouldn't have it, she wouldn't, she wouldn't!
"No, your friend can't come, solstice is for family only!" She shouted, only to get a pat on the shoulder from Sascha. "What? I'm right! I can't invite a friend home, can I?"
She frowned as Sascha explained that she could if she wanted to and simply waved her and Valerian forward. It was time to go home and Viveka was more than welcome for dinner if he wanted to come. All he had to do was tell the caretakers where he was going. Dahlia couldn't believe it! This was so dumb! No one was getting in trouble? No one was getting punished? What was wrong with her daddy?
Viveka let out a small gasp as Valerian asked his father if he could come over and looked to the white haired man in awe. Really? He could come over for dinner? The Nixie tilted his head to the side and couldn't help but smile. He'd never been invited over to someone's house before, this was amazing! He almost didn't mind Dahlia's remarks as Sascha spoke, it made him feel that good! He stood, dusted his skirt off, and nodded.
"Okay! I'll go tell the caretaker that watches our hall right now!" He cheered, grasping onto Valerian's hand. "Will you come with me? I don't want to get lost if you guys move on without me."
Thomas wasn't sure if he'd started to enjoy working at this stand or if he'd become completely numb to it. The two workers that had kept him here this whole time were chatting beside him and laughing as if he wasn't there, not that it bothered him too much. It wasn't like he'd get along with them if he struck up a conversation. They'd just ignore him or make him clean something.
The Elf grumbled and leaned against the counter, allowing his hair to flop over his eyes, and leaped into the air as the people behind him started screaming. What happened? Did someone get hurt? He stared at them wildly and looked around, before noticing the Fluffbug sitting a top the coffee machine. ... Was that what they were screaming about? Really? A Fluffbug? Honest to Nine.
"It's just a Fluffbug, they're virtually harmless." He grumbled, allowing the fuzzy creature to climb onto his finger. "See? Nothing to scream about. They're probably attracted to the sweet scent coming from the mugs in the sink. It wasn't trying to hurt you."

WELL, looks like Thomas gets to keep a familiar even if he's a meanie beanie. 8U
Decran moved through the festival, taking his time to check out all the different attractions. When he came upon a game that required him to shoot water from a gun and hit a target, he stepped up to the challenge. It took him a couple of tries, the first one netting him a choice of a book and the second one netting him a choice of a plushie.
Syra
Syra’s final stop for the festival was another jewelry booth. She wanted a bracelet, like she’d seen many of the other patrons wearing. She grinned when she finally found a booth that still had some. She quickly picked out a light blue and silver bracelet and paid for it before heading out of the festival and back to her dorm.
Finnley
As their final stop of the festival, Jocey and Finnley were allowed to pick out one book each. Finnley went straight for ‘The Goblet of Secrets’ while Jocey went off after something completely different.
Jocey
At the last stop that her small group made, Jocey wandered off in the opposite direction of Finnley. She looked and looked and finally found the book she had been looking for: ‘Malice in Wonderland’.
Ishy
Ishy’s last stop was at a stand that sold plants. Her classroom could do with a little sprucing up. Plus a plant, in its later stages of life, would give her students something else to photograph as well.
Tyas
As her last stop, Tyas decided that she would at least be somewhat good and buy a book. She was happy to find that they had one she’d been looking for: ‘The Mystery of the Timepiece’.
Vivian
Vivian’s last stop of the night was a small trinkets stand where she bought herself a snowglobe. And since the night was getting late, she decided that she’d pack up for the time being and head home.
Emine
Emine made one last stop at the festival and it looked to be a costume booth of some sort. Various pieces of clothing was laid out for everyone to look at. What caught her eye the most was a bright yellow boa. She wanted it. She needed it. Giddy, she let go of her caretaker’s hand and scrambled off towards it, scooping it up and instantly heading off to pay for it.
Noah
Noah’s visit to the festival was short lived. It was already getting late and he needed to head back to the dorm rooms before he got into trouble. Before he left, however, he stopped at a nearby booth and picked up a plant. The dorm he shared with his brother needed some sprucing up anyway.
Theodora stood away from Duma while he chatted with the caretaker at the entrance to the festival and sighed. Well, at least they would be meeting for coffee again on Saturday? She had something to look forward to, and get dressed up for. She blushed at the thought and mentally went through what she had in her closet to wear, before looking up to Duma again. It looked like he'd gotten the information he needed by the look of the smile on his face. Hopefully someone trustworthy had little Autumn in their care. Even she was worried about the girl, and they'd never even met.
"Well, Duma. I hope you can get reunited with Autumn soon." She said, placing her hand on his shoulder. "... I'll see you on Saturday?"
Duma could finally take a breath of relief thanks to the caretaker he'd found at the entrance. It looked like another caretaker had found Autumn sitting by his booth, which was ironic, and taken her to the meeting place before he'd returned from break. All of this running around and searching had been for nothing... Unless he counted seeing Theodora again. He glanced back to her and offered her a smile. Yeah, everything that had happened was worth it. He had a date with the most beautiful Imp he'd ever seen! "Yes, I'll see you then, rain or shine!" He beamed, nuzzling her forehead against his. "For now, I've got another special girl waiting for me in the main office. Hopefully she'll be eager to meet you, too!"
Malachi got to lead the way on this one for once. It was kind of nice not being dragged all over the place this time. He found a game that he thought he might be able to win something for her in, and wouldn't you know it! He actually did! With a big smile as he picked out a cute little Jackalope plushie, he presented it to her excitedly. "Here you go Hailey~"
It was really hard for Hailey not to take the wheel on this go, but Malachi had looked so happy to do so that she was happy to let him. When he picked out the game and tried, she cheered him on excitedly. "You got this, Khai!" and when he won, she bounced and clapped her hands. Though the surprise of receiving another gift from him made her sniffle. Accepting it, she cuddled the cute little plush then clung to him. "Thank you, Khai! I had the best time ever~" Taking his hand, they started to head back to their dorm room.
As things were clearly beginning to wrap up, Dodger hugged his purse puppy to his side as to try and keep the little thing from being squished by passersby. "Seems like everyone is starting to head home, huh?" he said with a smile to the pup. This had been quite the adventure for him and his new little critters. Heading to the familiar sitting booth, he sighed them all out. While taking count -- and wondering what he got himself into -- he noticed a little Fennekit that he didn't remember taking up. "Excuse me, but that lil one isn't mine." but when he was told that it was signed in under his name and ticket, well he decided not to argue it. His little pups were going to keep each other busy... that was for sure. "Alright everyone... let's get you home~" he said to them and they headed home... with much noise and chaos.
After a good while, things began to slow down and speed up at the same time. Activities, games, and stands were closing, while Nightmares and Daydreams, alike, were all working on getting their stuff together and heading back to dorms and homes. Bobbi took up the little Fluffbug again and smiled to it. "I suppose that means it's time for us to start heading home, too. It's not much of an apartment, but you might like it. I do have some new plants... I think you like those sorts of things, right?" Now wondering about it, the Litch gathered up what xe had with xem and headed home. It would be good to be home again, and now it wouldn't be so lonely.
Far too amused with the goings on, Matty smirked again. "No lie there, baby. You gots it where it counts!" The Goblin went quiet for a few moments as he debated inwardly. "Hmmmm... Well things seem to be wrapping up. Why don't you take Ms J, I'll take your arm, and we'll take off to the store now. I certainly enjoyed the festivities with you and now I owe you a dinner~" Reluctantly, Matty held the fluffy pup out to Ryker even though he really wanted to keep holding him. "So whatcha want for dinner? Any ideas? Sky's the limit this go, but we'll be giving my family a ring since it's technically on them~" he said with a smile, winking to the cute Grimm. The move was a smart idea. Coming to the celebration was even more so!
Darnit. It seemed that Exodus was fine in time for everything to be wrapping up. "Ah well... As it goes." he muttered to himself. At least he had taken the chance to even come out to the festivities. There were some really great books to read at home now, and his collection of mugs was replenished. Hopefully he wouldn't accidentally break these new ones. He could be pretty clumsy sometimes when it came to dinnerware and the likes. Making sure everything was gathered up, he also collected his little Salamander. He never thought he'd be one to keep a pet, but how could he resist such a cute critter. With a smile resting on his face now, Exodus headed back home to settle in and read for the rest of the night... and drink hot chocolate. Coffee bad.
(Only trying for familiars.. so this probably won't get filled. sweatdrop )
Odessa Kiessi Kara Anara Rorie Kirella Leddi Sariya
Sariya still wasn't quite sure why she had come here. She honestly had little, if no, desire to be at these festivities, however, she supposed curiosity had gotten the better of her and she had to at least see it for herself. She had just about turned to leave, when she noticed a green little kidden bouncing around, nearly bumping into her. She mused, bending down to catch it so it wouldn't fall. "I wonder where you came from..." She glanced around as she noticed people packing up the festival. Had it gotten free from one of the booths?
