So far everything was working out fine. Either he was treading lightly on the balls of his feet to keep from sinking or there had been no traps around. Either way, this was a good way to experience things first hand. Karasu continued to stay alert, letting his gaze glance all around, even freezing to turn quickly around and do a 360 spin to make sure he wasn't missing anything.
Koga did his best to make sure everything was in order. He would try and test the ground out before letting Karasu pass. The steel Pokemon would also take every so often to soar up in the sky to make sure no predators were coming, who knew whether Pokemon in this area would be friend or foe. He wasn't about to take the risk of what it could be.

The frog Pokemon lifted its arms up in defense sucking in air as though feeling like it would help keep it steady as the Pin Missile charged forward at him. Croak didn't want to lose a Pokemon battle, and it definetly wanted to get stronger. Ethan could only stand there while his Pokemon stood strong. Taking 3 Damage, but the moment the attack was done Ethan knew what Croak wanted to do,"Now! Use Astonish!" It let out its own howl like move, wanting it to at least damage the enemy. Current HP: 12-3=9? 4+6=10-7=3 Damage?
It was over, it was finally over as Hiro would drop down beside the unconscious pokemon. He would actually sighed, he hated to admit it, but he liked when Blight killed a pokemon. But, it wasn't to be this time.
"You won it, but then again, I knew you would. Though you did struggle quite a bit on this one."
He told her with a smirk as she rolled her eyes at him.
"You know, you are going to regret not eating him later."
He would hint as she glares at him. It wasn't that it wasn't part of her true nature, because, in the family of grass types those that ate only sunlight tend to have small mouths while those that ate other things well.
Blight would smile gently at the Pokemon as she started to walk away.
(I am not eating him, so let's get moving)
The boy almost laughs as he recalls her.
"Another time then, another time." Hiro would continue on his way.
Hiro would notice that the thickness of the trees were starting to become less dense and the fog was getting got the point where he could actually see through parts of it. Maybe, just maybe, they were getting through the Foggy Forest, and considering that for the most part the worst they had to go through was a Roselia and how well his pokemon had grown.
Hiro had no complaints at that moment as he would continue onwards.
The second time around seemed to be a much better trip than the first one.
Though, he would look at his belt. He still had two pokeballs, which meant, that it would probably be best if his team had a chance to grow again.
"As the world's greatest trainer ...I hope I will eventually come upon a pokemon worthy to join my team."
Hiro would finally find the edge of the forest as he let his eyes wonder over the tree coverage. The last time he had found the end of one area, it had led to trouble. His entire body shock as he thought of the dunsparce. He wanted to kill that pokemon so badly, because there was no pokemon hated more. Those eyes, that stupid body.
What in the hell was it suppose to be anyway?
A snapping branch would bring him back to reality as he looks at his own foot and sighs.
Hopefully, this time would be much easier on him that the last time.

It was a good while before Alexander stopped running, although he didn't have much of a choice in that matter. The ground made that choice for him by being rather soft and squishy where one of his steps landed, causing his foot to sink in some. The boy ended up stumbling and falling on his face in the murky water, his front covered in mud and whatever else might have been lurking in the fetid sludge. It was only then that the boy afforded himself an opportunity to look back at where he fled from as he got to his feet, only to find that he was no longer being pursued. It seemed the corsola had decided to torment someone else for the time being.
Now somewhat safe again, Alexander used his left hand to wipe what of the sludge he could off his face and front. Not that he was doing much good since his hands were also covered in whatever substance the ground could be classified as. Still, at least he was able to open his mouth without risking getting it filled with the mud, muck, and whatever else."Ugh... This can't get any worse..."the boy groaned as he continued onward. He didn't bother with pulling the icicle out of his back and probably wasn't going to. For one, odds were that some bits of flesh would be stuck to the chunk of ice, meaning yanking it out would cause more damage than letting heat do the work for him. For another, he didn't have anything clean to pack the wound with and couldn't even risk touching it without getting the wound filthy, so he couldn't really treat it even if he did pull out the icicle. So, he would have to deal with the chunk of ice in his shoulder until either his body heat melted enough of the ice for it to fall out on its own or he got back to the academy where he could hopefully get cleaned up before trying again. Then again, he might not be allowed to do that much, but he wouldn't know until he got back to the school.
(Unfortunately that is incorrect in this particular case as Pin Missile has an additional mechanic. Also at this time Ethan as the trainer cannot tel numerically how much damage his Croagunk has taken. As a normal human being he cannot "see" stats, moves, abilities, or held items without assistance.)
(And please remember to keep track of Croak's HP in his stats. You don't have 14/14 and the stats in your post should reflect that.)
Scowling even further, if that was even possible, the Budew would not halt or even slow it's attack. Thorn after thorn fired rapidly out of it's hat. The most dangerous thing about Pin Missile wasn't the number of barbs being let loose, but rather the consistent and ongoing nature of the damage. Once it got started it was difficult to stop!
As it fired off more thorns, just to add insult to injury, the Grass-type would flip the sign on it's hat over once more. This time it was a 2. It would seem Ethan's score had actually gone down.
Alice would find her reunion with Vorpal to be a short lived affair, the merry moment interrupted by an unhinged and insidious laughter ">Gehehe....GEHEHEHE....GEHeJeHEHehEheHE~!<" A faint snort would follow as a large rock fell from above....no...not a rock....a Pokemon.
">GEhEhEeHehe~! Precious...must feed the precious...gehEhehEHeh~!" The creature said with an insane giggling. From this angle it seemed like an ordinary Carbink, but as the creature turned they'd very quickly find this wasn't quite the case. Protruding from the left side of the Pokemon's face, where it's eye should have been as well as the surrounding area, was a large hunk of a yellow-green stone crackling with electricity. A charge stone. Something had caused this Carbink to mutate, and the results obviously hadn't been positive.
">Precious needs iron....blood has iron! Give me your bloooooood~! GeHeHeEHehehe~!<" The Fairy demanded with inconsistent tone.
As the self proclaimed shinobi moved through the bog, he'd find that the morning mist began to thicken, covering the entire area in a shroud. Somewhere nearby water shifted, a low melodic tone drifting across the bog. A large shape would next greet him, a Lapras sliding across the water and gently pushing aside the next lilypad forming the path, effectively blocking the way. With a serene yet imperial gaze, the Pokemon would look down on both boy and Skarmory as she intoned ">If you value your lives, leave this place now. Remain and suffer the consequences<" A pretty clear message. It would seem that Karasu had encountered the Guardian of this area, and if he wished to continue forward he'd have to fight her!

((I'll edit that now.))
As they walked, Kiani and Lily came upon a glowing blue stone. This had to be it, had to be what Kiani was supposed to take a picture of. A smile touched her lips as she pulled out the Camera her instructor had given her. Kiani snapped the picture and looked down at Lily. "Well Lily, that's the end of this mission. So, are you ready to go back to the Academy with me?" Kiani asked. "Li, Litleo." Lily said in response. Of course, Kiani had no idea what it meant, but she took it as an affirmative and put the camera back in her bag. She had caught an extra pokemon and she had also taken the picture. She was rather proud of herself and glad to be getting out of this place. So, with that, she turned on her heel and began to leave.
The boy watched as the mist seemed to thicken. His senses on high alert, he began to look around cautiously. Something big was about to happen. Straining his senses, he heard the sound of the water movement changing as a low sound of something cutting through it. Then he would spot the figure emerging from the mist and looked in awe to see a Lapras appear. It had pushed the next step onward away from them and was blocking the path. He didn't think this creature was common to the area nor did it look weak. Such a difficult battle on their first steps on the island. This place was going to be a long journey! They couldn't turn around, they had just arrived! "Koga, it looks like you have your first opponent!"
The Skarmory was already ahead of the game. The pokemon could actually understand what the Lapras was saying and hear the veiled or more obvious threat. ">Unfortunately we were given a mission. It is my duty to protect my partner and complete the mission successfully. We shinobi are honorable and keep to our word. It is because of this we will fight. You have a duty to protect this land and I have a duty to protect my friend. So I will consider this an honor to fight someone as powerful as you.<"

((You did not encounter anything; if you need to consult the encounter list, it can be found here. Furthermore, when leaving an area, you would have the post tracker go backwards. As you were at 6/10 when you decided to turn back, your current tracker should read 5/10. If you go back another step, you'll be at 4/10, and so on.))

A Wingull snoozed pleasantly on a tree branch, completely unaware of Hiro's passing, or the upcoming end of the Forest. He was no protector trying to bar the youth's way, so he was free to go... unless he felt like brutally murdering any more birds.

Hiro didn't know what got his attention about the bird, but for reasons he couldn't name he saw it. It was sleeping in a tree and it was a wingull. Though most wouldn't count this as a strong pokemon, he did. Other than rock and electricity it had no other faults and when it came to pure stamina ....he knew it's evolve form was hard to miss. Though it wasn't the quickest of pokemon, and he .....
No the boy shook his head. Any pokemon that is caught napping has to be lazy, and he wanted no part of such a pokemon.
Only the strong, and thus, he wouldn't challenge this one to murder. Instead, he would simply move onwards.
(Winks, there is nothing wrong with a lil' murder, but maybe next time)

((Everyone loves murder!))
As Hiro left the forest, he'd find that the temperature dropped considerably. An icy, rocky summit loomed above him, the path laying at his feet.
Mystery Mountain
After making your way through the deadly forest, the next thing you see is a huge mountain looming overhead. The worn stone path that swerves in an S shape back and forth leading up to the top. The second is the great gust of icy wind that hits your face. The temperature begins to drop drastically after taking the first few steps upward. Further on, several igloos can be seen on the left side. Be careful not to slip. The walkway is slick with ice and the more you climb, the steeper the drop. The winter wonderland looks pretty but not all appearances are as they seem. Who knows what creatures lurk hidden in the dark corners.
