The food was warm and cold respectively, thanks to his demons...but, he had to do just a few other missions without them to make up for that. And, after bull-rushing, drop-kicking, arm-twisting action, he threw the last of the rioters into the dirt.

So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?"They were clear of the danger for now, but Touma wasn't anywhere near feeling like the sky wasn't trying to fall directly on his beautiful head just yet. And the last thing he wanted was to piddle around long enough that something could happen again and Luvia ended up in the crossfire with him. If he was going down, he wasn't going to drag anybody else down with him. And against all likelihood knowing him, it wasn't JUST the whole being a lone wolf, cowboy drummer on his own kind of attitude that he lived by. Maybe he actually did care just a little...? Eiji "Gin" Mishima "These are the spores that everyone have been talking about, hm? I can't take them lightly. I should fall back before things get out of hand due to my inexperience." This was the first time for Gin, encountering this new Septentriones' attacks and it's unique pattern of approach to battle, so he wanted to play things safe until he knew for sure how he would handle them. He'd received several tips for an emergency situation, but he knew he was far from the center of town and now didn't seem like one of those times. If he was careful, they could escape the spore and it might not even get the chance to burst while they were still near it's deadly toxin "I'll just evade it for now. No reason to take the risk." It's not exactly the King, I'm pretty sure I could stand to miss." Eiji "Gin" Mishima "Wow, that first one was actually a fairly big let down. Zaou, make sure to finish off the others while you're at it. I don't think they'll take more than a little effort from you." A swing of the demon's mighty fist was enough to cause the pod to disappear into a pink mist that seemed reminiscent of violets and summer roses, mixed with a bit of neurotoxin that never had the opportunity to spray out and harm anyone. It was a rather invigorating sight, and one that his demons enjoyed showing off with all the same On the far side Lucifer was literally poking the spores one after another, finishing them off in what he could have easily misinterpreted as some sort of joke were it not for the demon's truly devastating power and efficiency. It was a toxic being of an otherworldly nature......
But, it was kind of adorable when it wasn't doing anything. And, as he moved away from his home, Flameis had grown a bit stronger.

Eiji "Gin" Mishima "I know I shouldn't be up and moving about like this already, but there's no way I can wait in a bed when there's danger bearing down on all of us." Gin bowed his head to Otome as he explained his reason for heading out to take on some of the spores, and she offered a sincere smile as she heard him out in a quiet and graceful form of patience.
"I understand, Mr. Mishima. As long as you take things easy, I suppose I can't keep you here. But listen here! I'm your doctor, and if I say that you need bed rest or to take things easy, then you'd better listen right away, okay mister? I don't take no for an answer, because I'm a very stern doctor." A finger poked up close to his nose, and Gin's eyes opened wide as he drew back on reflex, although Otome refused to give an inch and quickly stepped closer again to emphasize her point. He almost laughed, but he could tell how sincere she was and offered a smile in return, showing that he was listening just fine to the words she was saying.
"Of course, Ms. Yamagiya. You're the doctor. Sorry if I worried you." Gin scratched the back of his head as he tried to place just what this felt like, and when he realized that he was getting scolded much like his mother use to do, it struck him that it was nostalgia that was washing over him. He hadn't seen his mother in a long time, and now that the disaster had hit the world as hard as it did, he wondered if she was okay. She wasn't here in Inaba, but if he was lucky she was in Iwatodai during the disaster. And if she was protected by JPs or the SDF for now...that would give him such much needed comfort. He rolled out of bed, and started moving without work, that's how it was negative time. And, as Flames licked around him, Flameis moving to protect his master, Shu just kept walking on as if nothing was out of the ordinary.

As if expecting him to move over, and pet it. Instead, Shu rolled up a newspaper, and thwapped it a few times.
"Bad, Bad, Bad wild spore thing." he snapped, his demons joining in on assailing the poor thing. "We can't feed you, and we can't have you exploding all over the place. You will leave us be, or else-"
The spore succumbed to the physical [and spiritual] wounds at this, vanishing in a puff of smoke...And leaving Shu without a mess to clean up.

Eiji "Gin" Mishima "I should probably retreat. It looks like that spore has gotten quite bloated. Before long it'll spray it's poison, and dealing with it now probably won't stop all the damage from being done. Demons! Return." Gin held up his phone as his demons turned back to their digital selves and disappeared back into his mobile. It was strange that such a small device could be so useful, but there it was, and Gin knew that as long as he kept it charged he'd be capable of dealing with a plethora of fierce foes that were thrown his way, even as the Septentriones tried to tighten their grip on the remains of the human population.

Eiji "Gin" Mishima "And after I JUST told you not to push yourself! You'd better be in for an earful, because I'm not going to let you get away from this mister. O-oh, that's my phone. Just give me a minute, and don't you move! ...hello? Oh, Koharu honey, how are you? I'm a little busy...no, I can talk. Are you okay, and have you had something to eat yet?" Otome quickly turned away as she answered her cell and walked to the other side of the room to discuss with the person on the otehr end a number of private details. From the way she was speaking, it was clear that she was addressing a younger girl who looked up to her as an authority figure, and instantly Gin's mind went to Nanako. He wanted to be that sort of respected figure in her life, and Otome was someone who faced similar difficulties with whoever this Koharu was that was precious to her. Thinking about the trouble he caused her made him feel guilty, and Gin stepped aack to lean on the wall, new weight adding to his sins.
