Loki watched Tony still, knowing the man was unhappy with him made the god even more uneasy than he already felt. But then Tony was speaking again about a law that protected him, duress. As Tony explained it he knew that he qualified under that law,something they did not have on Asgard. It amazed him that those of Midgard would come up with such a thing, how many had been under such conditions that they would need such a law he wondered. "Truly..." Loki gaped. The clamping down on the bond eased, it wasn't completely open but it wasn't fully shut now. "I offered so many things, none of which I can be proud of. I wished for death." Loki stated looking away from Tony now.

Tony smiled slightly as Loki eased up on the bond a bit and he could feel a sliver of Loki’s mind again, pressing warmly against again. Letting Loki look away, he slowly reached out for Loki’s hand, holding it and letting it rest between them as Loki hadn’t moved close to him again. “Wishing for death in such a situation is understandable, more than understandable in fact.” He said softly. He had to resist the urge not to go on a rant about how that was so far from a thing to be ashamed of, but he didn’t feel that this was the right time for that.

Loki looked up when Tony reached out for his hand and held it between them. Green eyes were still unsure but looked more reassured now with the touch and warm press of Tony's mind against his. "I did not just wish for death, I wish that was all I had done. I offered them so much, the loves of my children any throne I ever obtained. Even children of their own." Loki looked quite ashamed of himself. He looked hopeful to Tony now that he had told his secret. Hesitantly he scooted a bit forward hoping still that Tony wouldn't reject him.

Tony listened to Loki and, though he was a little surprised by the last offer, he wasn’t all that shocked. Considering Loki’s history and how people had treated him and his family, those were offers that he had half thought would come up. Slowly slipping his hand from Loki’s he cupped the god’s cheek gently. “Loki…..I could never be upset with you because of such things. I know that under normal circumstances you would never do any of that, but you were scared, tired, and weak and you were being hurt by these people over and over…..” Sighing, he slowly shifted, pulling Loki close again, wanting to hold him and reassure him in any way he could. “I’m only upset that you thought you had to hide these things so desperately from me. There is nothing you could say or do that would make me stop loving you Lo. I mean…..” he paused, wondering if he really should admit to what he was about to say. “I love you so much that I have even thought of offering to start a family with you to make you happy…..I know it doesn’t seem like much, but it’s something that terrifies me, yet I would still do it for you.” He continued softly.

Loki couldn't bear to look up at Tony when the god felt the man's hand slip from his own. His chest tightened painfully for a moment until the hand rested once more against his cheek. Relief flooded the god and he closed his eyes leaning into the hand laying his own to rest over it. Green eyes opened once more when Tony spoke looking up to the genius with such relief, the bond fully open again. He nodded assuring the man that he would never offer such things had he have been able to think past pain and exhaustion. Loki didn't fight as Tony pulled him close, instead he moved into the man's arms as soon as he realized the desire. "Asgard has no such law and you've seen the way even Thor got over the two of us. It is hard to think differently about midgard when I have lived with beings such as those for centuries." Loki explained. He loved hearing that Tony loved him and that there was nothing that would make him stop. The mans next words almost had the gods heart stopping in his chest. However he knew better, Tony not only didn't seem as though he truly wanted children but there was no telling what Odin would do. Three times he had failed as a mother there was no way the king of Asgard would give him another chance. "Do not tempt with such pretty words that can never be Tony." Loki murmured laying his head against the mans chest.

Tony smiled as the bond opened again for him and he saw the relief in Loki’s eyes. Holding Loki close, and perhaps a little tighter than necessary, Tony nodded slightly in understanding at Loki’s explanation. He knew there were extreme differences between Asgard and Earth, but he just hoped that Loki would come to trust that Tony would care for him, no matter the situation. When Loki seemed to deny the opportunity of them having a family one day, it hurt a little, not just to see his lover so despondent about something he obviously wanted, but on some level it made him wonder if there was a problem in himself that made Loki wary, even if he knew that probably wasn’t the case. Gently lifting Loki’s chin, he gave a soft smile as he met his eyes. “One day perhaps. I want to see you be a parent, to have a family. I saw how you changed with Hela just being in the room. And I would go to the ends of the universe and back to protect you and our children…..nothing would separate you. I can promise you that now.” He said softly, his eyes showing the absolute truth. If Tony ever had to opportunity of a family, even if he had no idea what to do with it, he could destroy the universe and piece back together again by hand if he had to in order to protect them. He may be just a man, only mortal, but he could and would do the impossible. With that, he slowly pulled Loki into a kiss, wanting to reaffirm that they were alright and would be alright in the future.

Loki didn't mind the tight hold Tony had him in, it helped settle the god banishing away the rest of his dreaming and fears. Looking up again as Tony lifted his chin he was surprised to see such determination there. The words that followed had the god blushing a bit and feeling hesitant. Tony promised he would not let anything separate him and his children, he could see the truth in those words but Odin was more powerful. How could this one man even one as great as Tony stop someone considered a god. Part of his mind laughed saying that he had certainly tamed one in him but he was not Odin. "Perhaps someday then." Loki responded. Falling into and responding to the kiss Loki moved more to sit fully in Tony's lap. "I want to go back to the tower." he murmured when they broke for air. He didn't like where they were and the tower was safer, especially now with Sif and Fandral in Asgard. In the tower he knew escape routes and exits, here he knew nothing.

Tony saw the hesitance in Loki’s eyes, but he didn’t comment on it, knowing that the good wouldn’t believe that until he proved it. Allowing Loki to move as he wanted, he let out a pleased little hum as they kissed, happy to see Loki moving so easily. He knew the god wasn’t healed yet, but he was recovering. Pausing at the sudden request, Tony chuckled. “I was already planning to see about that when you woke again.” He said softly. Rubbing his side gently, he tilted his head, a small frown tugging at his lips. “I am sorry Loki…..you shouldn’t have ended up injured. It was stupid of me not to leave some sort of protection for you at the office. I wasn’t thinking.” He said softly, feeling that he had to apologize for his mistake. He’d gotten too comfortable, become to nonchalant about things, and Loki had suffered because of it.

Loki smiled at the pleased hum he received when he moved closer to the man. Loki was relieved that Tony had already been planning to return them to the tower when he had woken again. The tower was safe, he could finish recovering there, perhaps more quickly if he had his magic to aid him. When the man apologized however Loki frowned. "There was no way you could have known Tony. I did not know she had that much power, she should not have. This is not your fault Tony. Please dont blame yourself, I thought I would be alright." Loki stated looking saddened.

Tony glanced away as Loki began to reply. Even if he couldn’t have known exactly what would happen, he should have expected something and tried to prevent it. Looking back at his lover to see the sadness in his eyes, he hid his face against Loki’s neck, sighing. “I wasn’t even the one to figure out you were hurt, Clint was…..I flew with you while you were hurt. I knew you weren’t feeling well, but I guess I didn’t pay enough attention. I should’ve known there was something worse going on.” He mumbled. “I could have lost you….” He added softly, an honest note of terror in his voice. He’d already lost so much, he doubted he’d survive losing Loki as well. He probably would have found a way to kill Sif and Fandral if Loki had died and then he would’ve followed them without hesitation.

Loki felt worse as Tony hid away, he hadn't convinced the man of much. "I can not remember but some how I do not think you could have known. Not with everything that had happened, if I recall previous experiences I have had when I became aware of things at least partially it wasn't until later that I began to feel ill. Most of the time my adrenaline was running keeping me from the effects of such episodes. I have no doubt that this was the same. It is possible that Agent Barton only figured it out because he had experienced it more than once himself. Thor and my mother have grown used to what to look for but there have been times where I stumbled around for days before I became bad enough for someone to truly notice." Loki assured the man. "You would not have lost me though, I would not allow such things." he continued hearing the pain and fear in Tony's voice.

Tony gave a little huff at Loki’s words. He was a genius, he was supposed to be able to figure these things out , not have to have others point them out to him. When Loki said that he wouldn’t allow Tony to lose him, he let a small smile slip over his lips. “You better not.” He said softly, nuzzling Loki’s skin for a moment before he moved to kiss him again. “You have become far more important to me than you could possibly realize…..I need you.” He said softly. And it was true. Not only was he Tony’s lover and companion, but with Loki around, Tony didn’t drink quite as much, didn’t become so obsessive over things, didn’t go days without eating or sleeping, and he was a little more mindful of his health and hygiene. Many of those things Pepper had had to fight him over, drag him away, but it seemed more natural with Loki, partially because Tony was looking after those very things with Loki. “I’m sorry Loki….I never won’t be sorry for that.” He said softly before he began to maneuver Loki off of him. “Let me go see about getting us a ride back to the tower. I know you don’t like flying with me.” He said lightly.

Loki returned the smile Tony gave him when the man told him that he had better not. "I need you too. I know with out you all of this would not have been possible but that is not why I desire to remain yours. By Yggdrasil Tony you have no idea what you mean to me." Loki responded. He nodded when the other said that he didn't like flying he frowned. "I have never had a problem with flight. I am jealous that I am unable to do so myself but otherwise I do not mind. However now may not be the time to test my resolve for such things."

Tony enjoyed the assurance that Loki needed him as well. It was nice to know that he wasn't the only one getting really involved with this relationship this time, they they both seemed to have equal stakes in it. Tilting his head at the argument, Tony hummed. He was pretty convinced that Loki didn't like flying, he hadn't even seemed to thrilled the first time he'd taken him out. "No. Even if you begged me to this time, I wouldn't. And you are going straight to bed in the tower. You still need rest." He said firmly. Slowly getting up, he made sure Loki was comfortable before heading off to find Bruce and then Natasha or Clint.

Loki smiled at Tony when the man told him he wouldn't fly with him at the moment even if he had begged. "As you wish." the god responded when the man continued to tell him that he was going straight to bed when they reached the tower. He couldn't deny that he still needed rest. While he felt better than he had when he last woken he still felt quite a few effects of the concussion. Without his magic it was taking longer to heal but it seemed whatever Bruce had given him was helping quite a bit. Allowing Tony to make him comfortable again he watched the man head off feeling quite content with everything.
Natasha and Clint were just finishing debriefing Fury about the going ons now that they had had the time. Thor had found Bruce and his mother and was walking with them.
