Christine.Tremaine "Well, I wouldn't want to disturb the two of you on your walk then," Christine said. "I have noticed the school is rather quiet on the weekend though. I would imagine it's one of the few times teachers even have time for things like quiet walks." "At any rate, I suppose I'll let the two of you get to your walk then?" ((Sorry, I'm brain dead and I really couldn't think of anything else for her to say to that LoL))

Angela.Tremaine The goblin remains and the princess will die, the right road to Faerie, is the blink of an eye...
After physics, Angela went back to the class to drop off the rocket and things, then headed back outside to her usual tree. She swung herself up to the lowest branch and settled back against the trunk. Pulling out her sketchbook, she started to take some notes rather than draw.
She smiled slightly to herself. Tonight was going to be fun.Where charming old stories, in blood are expressed, like tears of cream on a strawberry dress...

Tarik-Khaldun Sayyid "My only value is not just my face."_________________________________________Tarik was stuffing his face with a donut. He never had one before and it was really good so he downed it in a few bites. He had been looking for Angela, but he couldn't find her. She still had to teach him how to read. He had checked out a book from the library because he liked the front cover. It looked very important.
It didn't have that many pages too and was very thin. But the covering was orange and there were these odd creatures in front and Tarik wanted to ask Angela what those creatures were because he's never seen them before.
And he found her. At a tree. "Angela! What are these creatures? I cannot read and you still need to guide me. Where do you find them? And what is it that the creature is holding?" Tarik asked as he went over to her and showed him the copy of Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. _________________________________________ "My greatness is revealed only when I'm naked." - Prince Ludwig

Young Master Oz Vessalius Angela.Tremaine The goblin remains and the princess will die, the right road to Faerie, is the blink of an eye...
Angela very nearly fell off her branch when Tarik startled her by walking up and shoving a book in her face. She managed to quickly regain her balance, cursing silently at the fact that she hadn't hidden further up--though, since the tree had no leaves, she couldn't really hide, exactly. Even in the lowest branch, she was basically just at Tarik's height. Stupid...giant.
Still, she sighed and put away her sketch book, taking the one he'd shoved in her face. She had to bite back a smile when she saw the cover. Okay, that was just completely and totally adorable. Even if he was an idiot with crumbs on his face. Really. This man was hopeless.
She reached over and brushed off the crumbs, not even wanting to know what he'd been eating, before she looked back at the book cover, trying to decide how to respond. "Well, this is a book for...children. And those creatures are just made up--they're not supposed to be real creatures. And he's holding green eyes and ham. Which, is also what these words say. Green Eggs and Ham." She pointed to each word as she spoke. Because, well, he had to learn somehow and she supposed this wasn't a bad book to learn on, even if the subject matter was inane and the illustrations slightly creepy.

Tarik-Khaldun Sayyid "My only value is not just my face."_________________________________________Tarik frowned. "Not real? Why would someone waste their time making a not real story? And these creatures? They are not real either? I found them cute. I was hoping to get the big one as a pet. What shame." Tarik sighed.
Wait, wait! But that means the book wasn't important. "Are you sure it's not some kind of important material? Perhaps it's not green eggs and ham? The thought sounds ridiculous. You must be pulling my leg-- ah, but if you do, it'll come off so don't. Perhaps they are emeralds instead? They seem to be going on some kind of adventure. It must mean they have hidden the emeralds somewhere, right?" Tarik asked.
He moved closer to her to get another look at the book. Damn. Now that he got a closer look, it did look like green eggs and ham. Tarik coughed a little.
"Well, I could be wrong." Tarik mumbled as he crossed his arms. "I-I cannot read this after all."_________________________________________ "My greatness is revealed only when I'm naked." - Prince Ludwig

Young Master Oz Vessalius Angela.Tremaine The goblin remains and the princess will die, the right road to Faerie, is the blink of an eye...
"Well, I suppose...it could be considered important. This book is often used to teach people how to read so from that perspective it's important?" Angela offered. "But no, I promise those are not emeralds. Nor are they real creatures. I suppose the writer created it to entertain people?"
She twisted slightly, on her branch, so she could face him. "Didn't they have story tellers in Egypt, that would make up stories just to entertain people? Because this is sort of the same thing. Only, instead of telling their stories out loud, people write them down and turn them into books so people everywhere can read them."
"And don't worry, I have no intentions of pulling your leg. Ever." That thought was really creepy. It also got her thinking about what other body parts could fall off. Like, what if she punched him in the face and his nose flew off? Or if somehow his ear fell off? Or...or...other parts. EW! She flushed slightly and handed the book back to Tarik. "You can...have this back," she said, not looking at him. Mental images. Ugh...the mental images.Where charming old stories, in blood are expressed, like tears of cream on a strawberry dress...

Tarik-Khaldun Sayyid "My only value is not just my face."_________________________________________"But only the important things were written down like our beliefs. I don't see the point in writing down something that... isn't important?"Tarik said with a frown.
"And good. I hope so. Although they're attached very much more than my arms. My arms seem to fall off very easily. I'm not quite sure why. It's a hassle when I'm holding things sometimes and they suddenly come off." Tarik answered. Angela was trying to hand the book to him but he pushed it back to her. "Perhaps you should read it to me. It's short and I want to know what kind of entertainment... reading is."
He was a bit embarrassed about bringing a children's book to her but he had to start with something and maybe he could learn a little more about reading if she read to him.

"But writing things was also far more troublesome," Angela said, shrugging. "Now we have machines and things that help us write quickly so it's easier to just...write. It's not the same as trying to carve things out of stone." She looked at him slightly disbelieving as he made his request, and sighed softly. He wanted her to read this book to him? This book? Silly man. But at least he didn't order her to do it as he usually would have. For that alone, she was alright with reading it to him--just this time. Angela carefully swung herself down out of the tree branch and situated herself among its roots instead. She patted the ground next to her. "Come on then, sit down."
She let the topic about his appendages falling off just...go. Because as much as she felt bad for him, she didn't want to discuss which of his body parts were prone to falling off.
Instead, she opened the book and started to read, using her finger to follow along, and holding the book so Tarik could easily see the words.
"I am Sam. Sam I am. That Sam-I-am! That Sam-I-am! I do not like that Sam-I-am!..."

Angela.Tremaine The goblin remains and the princess will die, the right road to Faerie, is the blink of an eye... When she finished the book, Angela closed it and handed it back to Tarik. "I have to go to class now. But if you want, just hold onto this book and during my free periods tomorrow, we can read it again and I'll work on teaching you our letters and the sounds they make," she told him. As she stood, she grabbed her bag, slinging it across her shoulders.
"I'll write up a chart for you as well, so you can work on memorizing in your spare time. I'll see you tomorrow, alright?"
She waved and started into the school, heading for history. She made inside before she started laughing. Dr. Seuss. Really. That was so adorable.Where charming old stories, in blood are expressed, like tears of cream on a strawberry dress... [exit]

Percy shrugged nonchalantly. It would be much more peaceful here anyways. He found another tree to sit under and began to pull his art supplies from his bag again. "now then... Guess I have to start over..." He began to take in his surroundings, looking for something that piqued his interest, and then began to draw.
