Anyone seen The Hobbit yet? I went once with my Fantasy and Sci-Fi guild from uni and then my father wanted to see it so I went and saw it again. It's worth going to see again especially since I missed a chunk 'cause of needing to use the restroom and then getting lost - theater was showing the film in four different places and didn't mark the doors. Plus from my considerations (think tiny rural town being where I'm from) it was a huge theater.

Try to be as non specific as possible so I don't spoiler anyone.

I've never read the book by the same name, though I'd like to. The movie was pretty good, didn't even feel like three hours though it was. Hard to hear during two parts because of how one character speaks and the other on account of a thunderstorm but other than that it was enjoyable. Maybe that was just me though.

Except for the giant spiders. I'm not afraid of them but eurgh I could feel things crawling all over me while they were showing yuck :c

I haven't seen the movie, and probably won't until it's out on DVD. I have read the book though, years ago. I don't remember much of it, just the plot vaguely.
I don't know, I'm not as interested in Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit as everyone else seems to be... but I'm not that into many live-action movies. A lot of people assume I would be though.
The one thing I do remember from the book is that it's very orientated towards children, or maybe that was just how I saw it. Mostly the way the elves were depicted. Or my memory could be way off. I enjoyed The Hobbit game a lot more than the book, though I don't think I ever finished it.

-cough- The only things I've wanted to see recently are Rise of the Guardians, ParaNorman and Wreck-it Ralph. Yes, I'm really into animated movies... I don't know, other movies just aren't as satisfying to watch. Majority of the movies I have on DVD are animated.

I went to see it during its opening week, and I really want to go see it again. Some people have bitched about the movies pacing, that its starts too slow, but I thought the three hours I was in the theater went by quick.

(Oh Supi, its a number one rule that you don't eat or drink anything before or during the movie. I never get up to go to the bathroom. I thought my bladder was going to exploded right at the end of The Return of the King.)

I've read the book, I'd call it some what recently and it follows it quite well. Peter had interjection some material that's found in the appendex's of The Lord of the Rings to better tie The Hobbit with The Lord of the Rings. He's added some scenes between Bilbo and Thorin that didn't happen in the books, but I thought it was good addition. I'm somewhat on the fence with making some of the Dwarves more attractive. With so many characters I guess they had to do some things to make the "main" Dwarves rememberable.

lol I can't go three hours without drinking something at least.

The three related dwarves right? At least I think Thorin, Fili, and Kili are related somehow. Yeah I figured they were to appeal to a very specific crowd but they didn't bother me much. I like all the dwarves though I'd be hard pressed to recite all their names.

My favorite dwarf is Dwalin though.

There were a bunch of apocalyptic movie previews the first time I went. I'd like to go see After Earth and then there's one with Tom Cruise in it (idk the name of the movie) that I'm pondering about - which is stronger, my dislike of Tom Cruise or my love of sci-fi movies.

Oh I could only remember a handful of the Dwarves names. Thorin, Dwalin, Balin, the Kili and Fili and the really fat one Bombur. Balin is probably my most favorite then Thorin.

I know what you mean, basically all of the previews fit into the same genre.

Shame on you Supi how could you forget the name of a movie that shares the name with one of our favorite games.... Oblivion tsk tsk.

Baldur's Gate is on Steam, and I bought it.
This is just...
Baldur's Gate was the first PC game I ever played, 'cause it came with our first computer. Still have the disc but it's so damaged that it does not install properly.
I forsee myself spending a lot of time playing it soon, but...
I just started playing Morrowind again.
Choices, choices. I have too many.

What'd you like about Baldur's Gate Hero? A lot of people I know seem to like it, have recommended it, and my PC is the only gaming system I have up at college.

Was thinking of maybe purchasing it sometime to play when I'm bored.

Well, it doesn't particularly stand out in anyway I can think of, y'know? It can be a challenge if you don't know what you're doing, but it's really satisfying to watch the enemies explode when you land a critical hit.

I'm actually attempting an extremely buggy play-through with my siblings and haven't gotten far yet, but despite having to restart about every five minutes I'm really enjoying it.

well haven't been around in a while what dose everyone think of the Elder scrolls online and its closed beta release?
PostPosted: Tue Jan 22, 2013 7:51 am

I want to sign up for the closed beta test, but at the same time I'm kinda of like... don't want to bother?
I'm unlikely to get in since I don't have much experience with beta testing anyway, that or I wouldn't get much time to get on my good desktop to participate anyway.

I signed up as soon as I got home from work, would have done it at work, but they wanted your PC specs so I had to wait. Hey I may not get in but hell a slim chance in Oblivion is still a chance.

Maybe if I actually get a chance to get on the desktop so I can put the specs for my computer in, to give me a boost, I'll do it.

ESO is looking better than I predicted.

One of my two huskies (not in Nirn, on Earth) is named Baldr (original spelling)

And I'm starting a Dunmer Family. If you know anybody who's interested in that stuff, please let me know either here, on "Khajiiti," or "Wolfsbane Alpha". Thank you.

Like the avatar hero. Brown is one of my favorite colors to play with.

I'm supposing you mean my former one now, Supi. But thanks, I do try to fiddle around with brown every now and then, I just don't end up with that many brown items for some reason.

Sorry I haven't been around all too much. Just been going through a lot having to deal with my anxiety, trying to get a job and whatnot. I'm currently going through a Skyrim spurt though, started a new character.. and waiting to get Dragonborn. -still has yet to get it-

Also, congrats Byakko... though I suppose it isn't the most happiest of circumstances. I wish you luck with the guild, and if you need help, don't be afraid to call on me.
