We could use wizards, witches, we could still use werewolves and vampires, and maybe we could add in humans, or demons and angels.

that sounds pretty good but like what would it revolve around? and would there be any mention of a school or of a reason for this (I dont want to try to copy hers again that would cause disaster)

Yes but the guardians are basically humans that can use magic, so we can just label them humans. And we could base it around in a parallel world, and use the whole world as a Role play area.
