[ Lettie : Hook's Ship : Above Deck ]

"As I said. So appealing...," she began, her sultry voice practically capable of caressing someone on its own. However, in a fraction of a moment, the woman was gone, the wind rushing by Timmy as if a speeding train had just passed by. Directly behind him-

"It's just a pity you prefer a leash."

There was a slight tug, barely even noticeable, as the woman yanked one of Timmy's hairs and leapt overboard, vanishing into the Darkness below.

[ Celia : Hook's Ship : Cory's Quarters ]

"The way it is...," she repeated under her breath, chuckling somewhat as she finally stood up from her leaning position, hands on her side. "If Hook doesn't find the prospect appealing, tell him this: the island volcano houses an entire world of treasure. That should get him moving."

Dark tendrils began to appear from beneath the lithe woman, snaking up into the air and gently embracing her as a Corridor of Darkness appeared and swallowed her up, vanishing after her exit.

[ Hook : Hook's Ship : Above Deck ]

"What in the seven seas happened?!" Hook shouted, staring at his ship with a look that could only be a strange, contorted mix of anguish and outrage. Parts of the ship seemed burned away by some corrosive force, while others look flat-out destroyed. Having just come back from his expedition into Beast's Castle (he'd left his Pirate Heartless to carry up the small chests he'd found), he was a little more than shocked to see the chaos.

"When I get my hands on that little sea-louse-!" he began to seeth, his hand acting as if he was wringing someone's neck. However, the Air Pirate Heartless soon appeared, hovering just above the deck after flying up from the ground and tossing the small chests of loot onto the deck, immediately gaining Hook's attention. "Not there, you bilge-rats, in my chambers!"

[[Louis : Train : Dining Car]]

"Let's hope we don't have more strange weather. Wouldn't want to take a step outside on a sunny day and get struck by lightning." Louis dropped the subject as Sora sat down across from him, he smiled at the key blade master, "I agree. Looks good doesn't it?"

Louis held in a chuckle, failing miserably after taking one look at Sora's reaction to Kuja with his mouth full of food, "Careful, don't choke."

Still chuckling, he shifted over allowing Dawn to get comfortable. He blew on his food for a moment then looked at Dawn, "Well hello again, Dawn. Did you have a nice trip?" He asked, referencing her recent abduction by Joe.

[Cory .:. Hook's Ship .:. Deck]

Cory kicked open the door leading from the cabins to the deck, the hinges already so weakened from Timmy's earlier fight with Alice that it simply flew from its hinges and fell to the ground. "Heh, whoops." He stepped over the door and other debris on the deck, making his way to Hook as he struck a Heartless flying by and grabbed its treasure chest.

"I was wondering where you were at, Hooky. I s'pose you got tired of waiting for me to bring you treasure, eh?" The renegade opened up the chest and looked inside, grinning at the treasure before closing it again and tossing it to an already over encumbered Heartless (which ended with it falling to the ground and trying desperately to move). "Speaking of treasure, I just got word of a goldmine. An entire city, ripe for the pillaging, and to top it off? A volcano full of treasure. You in?"

[Dawn : Dining Car]

Dawn slid in better when Louis moved over, shrugging slightly giving a small smile, "If you don't count the chocobo theft and me getting scared out of my skin. I'd say it was great."

Dawn lifted up the meat-lovers to her mouth but paused looking up at Kuja, "Though I am still kinda curious." Dawn looked over at the Genome's shoulder at Zexion then back at Kuja, "He kicked your butt, right." Dawn didn't so much as ask Kuja, as assume. She was grinning widely as she did. Kuja was annoying, and to know he got crushed, that was good for her.

Not waiting for an answer from either of them, she took a bite of her food closing her eyes as she ate. This was so much better than last night's dinner of berries....

[Maria ~ ??? ~ Dark Tower]

Maria gave Ajora a vampire smile, "How clever, I suppose you have me all figured out now? And I'm surprised at you, not taking every excuse to terrorize those pathetic wastes of flesh. I suppose you're very busy, so I'll let those ones slide. However, I've heard rumors about new ones, fresh meat that I don't have in my records. I expect you to take care of them as well."

A tiny grey field mouse scurried from a hole in one of the walls, catching Maria's eye. Dot . . . She bent to let the little creature climb onto her hand and up to her shoulder where he took up his usual perch. The little mouse sat there contentedly, looking at Ajora as his master did.

"Anything else?"

[[Louis : Train : Dinning Car]]

Louis blew on his pizza again before taking another small bite, chewing, then swallowing, "Scared out of your skin?" he repeated, only to then remember the lightning strike again and connect the two together. He paused as she went on to talk to Kuja, then asked once she finished, "So, does lighting scare you? I mean... when you know it's coming. It's understandable for anyone to be scared when it strikes out of the blue. Like, do you have a phobia at all?"

[Dawn : Dining Car]

Dawn nodded a little as Louis asked his questions and bit her lower lip a little after she swallowed her food.

"I admit, I am afraid of lightning. I can't place even when or what caused me to be afraid of it. When I was a little kid I didn't mind it too much. Think I've been through one too many thunderstorms," Dawn said with a sigh looking down at her plate, "It isn't a phobia. Or at least I don't think it is. I just get terrified whenever there is a thunderstorm."

[Ling ; Yao ; Chien Po ; Tea Lady : Land of Dragons : Tea Shop]

Yao scowled, predictably, and started to say something. He was stopped by Chien Po giving him a bear hug from behind, picking up the smaller man easily. "Yao, relax, and chant with me."

Yao rolled his eyes, having been through this several times before. Chien's chanting, however, did have the desired effect. Yao's anger subsided. Upon being let back down, the smaller man informed Kyle that a circus performer who couldn't juggle wasn't worth his time.

Ling was paying closer attention to the newcomers than his friends were, and found Seymour yet another odd thing that he had seen today. He shrugged it off. It wasn't any stranger than those dark shadows he had seen on the other side of the Fireworks Yard–the ones that appeared to be moving–or that souless look he had received from several of the guards (the ones that had been under Jafar's control, hypnotized by the snake scepter).

[Nicholas :: Chinese Tea Shop]

Nicholas was still rather quiet, looking about the tea shop. Each cup seemed to be hand painted, each design so beautiful in its own way. Flower petals flowing through the air, flowers in bloom...It was lovely. Pity he couldn't focus on it, Seymour requested him to spy on the group here, not eye the beautiful hand painted china.

Maggie's question snapped him out of his daze, and he gave her a faint smile. His eyes, however, did not look directly at her, but instead behind her. His awkward talking skills needed some work. "Oh...Well, there are many people throughout the world who have the name Louis, no doubt. I don't think I have met him, but...it is entirely possible."

[[Louis : Train : Dining Car]]

Louis smiled after taking another bite, laughing giving her a reassuring pat on the shoulder, "Don't worry. We're all afraid of something. Lightning is perfectly logical to be afraid of. After all, it's unpredictable and powerful... and power without a sense of guidance is always frightening. It scares me too... but... I've come to a point where I know when to let that fear effect me. In here, we're safe so there's nothing to be afraid of, there's absolutely no way lightning can harm us here."

Louis lifted his hand from her shoulder and took another bite of his food before continuing, "So, if you don't mind me asking, tell me about yourself. I don't know all that much about earthlings... what was your home like? Was it much like this?"

[Dawn : Dining Car]

Dawn looked up at Louis as he touched her shoulder. She looked up at him for several moments before she looked away and stared at her plate once more. Dawn felt her face warm up slightly as her hair fell like a veil between herself and Louis.

She only nodded a silent reply, before she occupied herself by taking a bite of her food, taking a moment before she answered him.

"Depends on what you want to know," she began as she looked up at him once more, "Though my family has moved around more times than I can really remember, I have spent most of my live in a city called Kearney. Pretty moderate size. Rural. Not to mention country views. Go outside the city limits you can see for miles and miles. It is really beautiful. Nothing like this..." she said taking another bite of food before she continued with a crocked grin, "People didn't wear Joker outfits except during Halloween."

[[Louis : Train : Dining Car]]

The shadowmancer took two consecutive bites out of his pizza as he reached the end of the slice as she replied, trying his hardest to act oblivious to the reference, "I see." He finally replied simply, "I've only been out of the city a few times on missions. Usually running scouting missions to nearby provinces in order to build up defensive structures and things like that. That was usually the only time I saw much of any countryside.

Arcadia's capital, where I lived before, is entirely city. There's no such thing as countryside there. But it was a nice place, a very peaceful lifestyle. We have this system, where in order to gain social standing, those who do good deeds for others are rewarded with a form of currency that can give you access to areas in the city reserved only for the best of people. Of course, there is a way around that through the military, but I find this way of life ensures that the majority of the top members of our society are made up of the best of people. Very peaceful lifestyle.

That was... until the new emperor took over. The old emperor preferred our peaceful lifestyle... but his son seems to have other plans. One thing led to another, and I eventually left the military. then this happened, and I decided to explore this new world. And here I am..."

Louis paused and looked at Dawn with a sheepish grin, "Sorry about that... I tend to ramble on allot if I'm not careful. Started talking about my country, ended up telling you my life story." Louis chuckled, "Sorry. So, what was your family like back home?"

[Dawn : Dining Car]

Dawn smiled a little as Louis spoke. She continued to take bites of her pizza as she listened to his story. When he finished she shock her head at his apology as she opened her fresh bottle of soda to take a drink before she answered.

"No it is fine," she said looking back at him, "I don't mind really. It is actually quite fascinating to hear about. Sounds like a place we should visit...well... if it isn't.... you know..." she finished her sentence lowering her head, hoping she what she said wouldn't upset him. His home might as well be like hers... gone...

She let her lip up in a sort of half grin before she continued on with answering his question.

"I got a big family. They can be a bunch of jerks at times, mainly my brothers, and sometimes my sister. But I know they got my back when I need it," Dawn spoke with a smile though her voice seemed rather sad at the thought of her family. How she longed for them all to be safe, like she was. She wanted to see them again. Not just her brothers and sister. But her mother and her nieces and nephews as well.... she knew already what happened to three of them. And it was her fault.

Dawn shook her head both mentally and physically to clear her mind and keep from such thoughts for the moment. She didn't feel right going to tears at the moment in front of people she had just met that day, except for James who she had known for years. But still, she didn't want to weight the others down because of her regrets.

"What about you? Got any family back in Ivalice? Brothers or sisters, perhaps?"

[John.:Land of Dragons:.Tea Shop]

John was very aware of the fact that he was terrible about hiding his emotions. It came with the embrace of theater as it was easier to let everything show on the stage rather than bottle things up for most of the roles that productions called for. At first, he was not sure what to say, but finally, let loose.

"It's more than just the fact that I know that I'm probably dead here, but it's like everything that I knew before now is gone, but I knew more than a lot of other people so if I'm gone then that part of our world dies." he said breathlessly. "Let's take Gravity's Rainbow or any of the novels by James Joyce. Let's take the German langauge, the exchange of cultures in public policy. God, even the stock issues of policy debate that I hate with a burning passion. That's gone too! Gahhhhhhhhhh, it's like you do your best to try and fit the mold into society and WOOSH there it all goes out the fukki' window and now I gotta kill a bunch of little dark hearted demons that I somehow know all of them because I beat the sequel to KH 2 in my basement in 3 days?"

He smiled and shook his head in disbelief laughing off the unfortunate situation.

"I swear, THIS is my punishment for spending too much time on video games... I'd say that a simple hiatus from them would do but nooooooooooo. Put me in a different dimension why don'tcha. Oh, and while your add it, make it so death is like, "Awesome guys, I'm a spittin' image of an e'erday occurence"... thank you Kesha... anyways, I'm good... I need more wine though..."

((Sorry if this post doesn't make a great deal of sense, just trying to get a catch up post in before I get hopelessly lost))
{James : Train : Dining Car}

James had more then less tuned out everything going on around him. He had fallen into a reverie, lost deep inside his own thoughts. The lightning strike hadn't scared the corsair, usually he thrived when he saw a bolt of lightning. It was almost as if he could feel the energy and it charged him up. However, this time there hadn't been that same feeling, probably because it was only one strike, and it was obvious a storm wasn't coming with it. He sat in silence and ate the slice of pizza he had, not even aware that Louis was speaking to him, though he did speak out loud, unintentionally regarding his thoughts on it.

"I think someone isn't happy we're just sitting here..."

That was the only thing he could make of it, it wasn't a natural occurrence that much the corsair was certain of. Someone had to have controlled or at the very least unleashed it. In a way he felt the same way, but they couldn't leave yet... not until a name was revealed on the list. Otherwise it would just be a waste really and he was sure that they needed the rest anyway. After dinner he would probably try and rest too, though with what all had happened it wouldn't be easy for him.

{Leon : Land of Dragons : Fireworks Yard}

Leon was relieved when he had managed to push back the massive Buster Blade. However, he didn't think that Cloud would come back for another strike. He barely managed to parry the first strike and barely managed to jump back away from the second strike of the Cross Strike. He had trained with Cloud, fought beside him. His attacks were all too familiar to the Gunblader.

'I didn't come here to get into a fight...'

Leon stared intently at Cloud, to reflect his true intentions he actually lowered his Gunblade, leaving himself open to an attack should Cloud choose to strike.

"I didn't come here to fight you Cloud, and I don't think you want to strike me either."
