"You want to make a name for yourself as a ninja? that is a contradiction. A ninja is not Supposedto be well known. That is the whole point, noone is supposed to know about you..." Nagisa had finally found a reason not to like this kid. (I suppose that is to be expected from a taijutsu type...) she mused.
She watched other shinobi train in the distance. They seemed to be training themselves.

Arcus walked onto the training field carrying an armful of scrolls. Don't over do it were the words that floated through his mind. It was his dad's words. He had been told to learn the jutsus, become a genin, and move on. Nothing more. Nothing less.
He stumbled as he walked, slamming into a tree and dropping the scrolls all around him. "ouch...that didn't have to happen". He said to himself; slightly annoyed. His dreadlocks had come out of their pony tail and were now trailing his face. He sat up and clapped. "Ok...time to get started." He picked up a scroll. Bouzenjishitsu no Jutsu.....ok
He looked around for something to practice on. He looked up, finally locking on a bird staring at him curiously. "Bouzenjishitsu no Jutsu" He murmured, forming a hand seal while he spoke. The bird had been about to take flight, but instead, dropped like a rock. It crashed beside him, completely frozen. Arcus had wanted to catch it, but a job is a job, and his was to learn. He stared at the frozen bird for as long as he could before blinking and breaking the jutsu.

The bird then moved. It cried out in pain and rolled around. It's wing now broken. Arcus lifted the animal back into the tree so that it would be safe from predators. Sorry little bird. He thought as he began reading his next scroll.

The Verdict is in... "Gregar is using a NPC to teach the academy students and at the moment he's busy doing something so I'm guessing you should sit tight and wait for him to come."))

Genin/Kumogakure Oveon smiled as he moved away from the academy students he didn't want them to get hurts if he failed a jutsu. "Some sheild I would be if that happened." He said softly as he pulled out his fuuton scroll and opened it as he started to read his next jutsu he needed to learn defesive jutsu and learned how they worked if he was ever going to forge a ultimate defense. "Here I'll master this one next." He said softly and put the scroll away and quickly made the hand signs. "Bouseki Tate no Kaze no jutsu." He said as he bagain to modl the chakra only to feel it fizzle with only a slight glimpse of what the jutsu might be causing Oveon to return to the scroll.(Bouseki Tate no Kaze rank D training -2 posts 1/3) Chakra:

"Are you saying you don't know any legends about famous ninja? Sannin are famous across the land, are they not? Our Raikage is famous, is she not?" he said, again in a kind voice. "The Aburame are famous, aren't they? The Uchiha too are famous." he said, still twirling the kunai "I want to be known for my Taijutsu. I want to learn everything I can. I want to make my name honored for it's fierce Taijutsu techniques. Maybe one day, I'll make some of my own. But until then, I'll learn what I can." He said proudly.
(There might be an exception. I would like to quit being a student in the near future. but alright, I can wait.)

Oveon growled when he relised the mistake he had made with the hand signs. "That was a thoughtless mistake." He muttered softly and started to make the handsigns once more. "Bouseki Tate no Kaze no jutsu." He spoke the words as hemolded and this time saw the sheild appear a little lounger before it faded.

(not under the authority of the mighty raikage sad but if he doesnt return soon, i'm up for a riot neutral )
"Unfortunately for those powerfull enough, it becomes difficult not to be known... but honestly, with few exceptions, i think the best shibinobi are those you have never heard of." She smirked. "If you are doing a stealth operation, then you should not be noticed. If you are doing an asassination, then noone should survive to tell the tale. If you are protectiing someone, then you take out the enemy before anyone gets a chance to learn of your existence. The kage's can't really do much about not being famous..."
She knew she was insulting the kid, but another good thing of not being well known is it's harder to die. Someone like him would probably be one of the first in a team to die. Still, she couldnt help but be impressed by his resolve...
((It looks like I made my character a bit difficult to get along with... Our characters aren't suited... but that would keep things interesting if we can somehow manage to make them friends wouldn't it twisted ))
Edit: ((good luck with your clan application smile ...wait a minute, immunity to genjutsu? that sucks...))

(It's easy for me to make friends. Most of my characters are of the honorable sort who give their lives for their friends. There will come a time when Nagisa is in over her head, same can be said for Katmas)
"Well of course it becomes difficult to not be known. But of course there are those shinobi who prefer to keep themselves unknown. Obviously they do a good job of it too" he snickered as he said the last part. He started to watch Oveon practice. "As for an assassination, there' a body, blood, and other signs something happened. And even for defense, if someone knows they sent an ambush squad, would they not know they didn't return? And if they set an ambush, wouldn't they know who they were ambushing?" he said calmly, looking back to Nagisa. "And yes, our Kage could keep her existence a secret. She could do as I do, and wear a mask at times. Or be a shut in, never leaving her office. She chooses not to though. She knows she is known." He said, pulling the bandana around his neck over the bottom half of his face. "But you have to think of the benefit of being known. People know not to come after you. They know what you can do. That instills fear. And fear keeps people away." he said coldly, standing up.
(Edit: Yea, but I can't do it either. No big deal. But the Konaga have other HUGE drawbacks. Like loosing the use of a limb, or even death because of our own abilities. Random lashing out. And lets not leave out the burns)
(Oh, and Thanks. Aside from Cobra, I'll be the first {That I know of) to become apart of the line)

Oveon took a seacound to watch the two students before quickly making the signs this time being sure to concentrate on the area he wished the sheild to apear."Bouseki Tate no Kaze no jutsu." His voice was stroung and just a few feet from him a sheild of spining wind appeared in frount of him. "There I'm that much closer." He said with a smile before looking at the students. "If you kids want I have a scroll of basic jutsu's I'm not useing."

His call was answered. Katmas looked at Oveon, smiling, he bellowed "Sure friend, it's much obliged!" as he walked over to Oveon to retrieve the scroll. A scroll he thought. I wonder what's on it. Hopefully some taijutsu techniques.

It was certainly a good thing stealth was not important in the least, at the level of an academy student, because every ninja within 20 miles would have leapt when she squeaked with anticipation. Raiden hears a girl screaming with joy but tries to ignore it. "Apparently somebody is awesome." Raiden accidently pulls out a basic jutsu scroll and starts reading it. "Tree Walking Technique. Just focus chakra in my feet? this is easy." Raiden starts focuses a little chakra in his feet and runs to a tree. "Easiest jutsu I ever learned." He starts running up a tree but only got 3 feet off the ground and falls head first, banging his head on the ground. "OW! What the hell?"

Raiden holds his head to try and stop the pain. "Okay I feel better." He gets up and thinks about trying again. "I'll just add more chakra thats it. Yeah." He does this and starts running to the tree again. "This time I'm not falling." He starts running up the tree this time making it a quarter of the way there. "Yeah I knew this would wo-" before he could finish the tree breaks at his next foot step and starts falling. "Dammit!!" He falls again but falls on his back. "AH! Why is this so hard!?"

"Okay this is the last try. Very little chakra gets me nowhere and too much chakra damages the tree forcing me off of it." Raiden thinks for a few seconds. "Maybe is should try the right amount of chakra." Saying this he focuses a medium amount of chakra in his feet. "Third times a charm." He runs to the tree a third time and begins running up it. This time he reaches all the way up to the top. "Yes I did it!" He yelled while standing on top of the tree. He jumps down a stumbles a bit. "Whoah I must be getting tired."
