ok, you know how they are having a bloodline/clan sign in? well, if nobody else posts for my bloodline/clan, do i become the clan head? btw, i'm a jounin......
oh yea, i probably should pm a mod about this, but can someone check my custom taijutsu application......er......please? sweatdrop

ok...i have a very obvious question that I figure 'has' to have been asked before, but i'm asking because it isn't clear to me. When is it ok to use a replacement jutsu, and when is it not ok?
how are they used anyway? i've no idea how to roleplay a replacement jutsu.
it seems as though god-modding with the replacement jutsu would be pretty easy.
Also, has anyone given thought about the Aburame draining system. For some reason, aburames are coming out of the woodwork now and we still don't have a system for our draining.

(GOD Smite them) you would have to auto-rank in your bloodline/clan. its kinda of hard to do. er...my question was how the replacement jutsu worked without being considered god-modding. i mean, at any point during a fight I can just say 'Your attack didn't hit me, because i used a replacement jutsu'. that seems a bit god-modded.

oh and a final clarification. the majority of the noob jutsus can be found in scrolls that you can pick up at a library or something. These jutsu 'can' be learned by yourself right? i mean, if you have the scroll for them. I believe lance said "you can learn any jutsu you have a scroll for"
but i'm not sure that i heard that, so i'm asking a again just to clarify.

If someone is trying to exit an area but you have your character stop them suposedly before they leave, do they still get to automatically dodge your character?

@Kuro: You can learn any jutsu you can get your hands on, but until you hit chuunin, you have to get those scrolls from a RPC or NPC that would legitimately have them. If they wouldn't necessarily have them, you might be able to get them to go get them for you. If you learn a jutsu from a scroll though, it's +1 post to learning.
@Fenrir: It's their choice how to react, they can either ignore you completely, or react to your action. If they have already posted elsewhere, it's most likely going to be the former, but if not, they might decided to react to you.

Huh, well that sounds horribly inconvenient. I mean what if you're trying to guard a place an stop anybody from coming in, and then while you're offline some guy walks past you like you weren't even there? Then when you get back online he's already posted elsewhere and too bad even though your character was supposed to be protecting the place some guy came, walked past you, stole whatever it was you were protecting, and then blew the place up with you inside?

If it's something like that, and you're guarding the spot, you have full authority to call DOUCHEBAGGERY on the guy ignoring you. If it's something like someone walking away from you in the middle of a conversation, or fleeing a fight, that's a different story.

kinda, I tried it in sand village's ramen shop. sinner was carrying an unconscious lady out and I had my character run into him on his way out, but of course when he said he was on his way out he just exited to wherever he was going next, leaving me confused and lonely. gonk

Wait, when you say replacement jutsu you mean that thing when somewhere hits your character and it turns out to just be a log? Well I'm pretty sure you'd have to RP your charcter getting the log, using the jutsu and then the log character fighting as your dummy. I doubt you'd be able to just say oh yeah your amatersu hit but by the way it was just a log. So the player would know that it was just a log but the RP would not. If you were not talking about this log thingy then uh...yeah...my bad... burning_eyes
