It would be great if when it didn't picked up sarcasm it would say in a siri-like voice "there's totally sarcasm here".

Not necessarily, there's this one picture floating around about a guy looking for a reservation at a restaurant and siri was like "Oh, is your mom in town?".

I've thought of that too and I know it can't have been just one person but a team of people who developed it. I'm also guessing it functions similarly to cleverbot.
