-^^- That's so cool - were you guys matched together because your personalities or your playing styles complemented each other?
Tryouts this year lasted way too freaking long x_x There are too many people of similar level trying out for varsity. They just kept having us play each other over and over and over again, which only made things more convoluted, because we kept beating each other - even when the line up was supposed to have been confirmed by then - and kept giving us vague answers all the way up until the day before our conference match.
So in short, I feel like tryouts lasted too long, and the season was too short.

We were paired together because we win? I'm not actually sure.
Did you make varsity?

Challenge match?
It's that you would even ask, no I'm not even close to varsity level.

Basically matches that "count" during tryouts. A huge part of who makes what team and who plays what position depends on who beats who in a match.
Which is why it was so ridiculous that they made me play the same girl 6 times, because we just kept beating each other and making the whole thing more convoluted.
But you must be good in order to make the team o: At least you have fun?

Do you play tennis for your school?
It is a lot more fun than basketball.

Yeah, do you?
Agreed. But that statement may be slightly biased, since I can not play basketball very well.

Yeah but we don't have to tryout.
It's not that hard, you just have to be really aggressive.

Really? o: Are there not a lot of people who try out?
Maybe, but all the aggressiveness in the world won't help if you can't aim ^^;

It's not really trying out but you just play matches to see who's on varsity and whoever wins is on but that's about it.
Usually only the point guard shoots but it does help if it's a team effort.

Dang, they never go that in depth with assigning positions in PE basketball. They just go, "Hur hur, go dribble the ball and try to shoot."

Well usually one person ( the best player) is the point guard and takes control then the other people on the team just stand there or pass it.

Didn't know that o: They don't ever tell us this stuff in PE.
But, most of the balls usually go to the best person on the team anyways rofl

The students just automatically do it, teachers just build the teams and try to make them equal.

Huh, I guess the students at my school either just don't care about that or just didn't know about it (like me).
