Punishment calmed itself to the best of its ability and hissed, slipping in a small screech into Brenda's mind. It could actually remember something, now. Carefully, the hissing died out, and the symbiote offered a small click.

The emotional impulse Brenda sent in response to this was one of satisfaction; You remembered... Good.
She was making progress with talking to this thing despite the barrier, and that was obviously a good thing. And if it could communicate, perhaps she could teach it about good and bad.

Punishment seemed pleased with itself, and hissed accordingly. It let out a long chain of clicks which nearly sounded like purring and gave a short hiss. After a few moments, it clicked a single time again. It could communicate now, and it was excited to do so.

All of a sudden, the batcomputer had a new message blaring in from the sound speakers. The scared stiff voice of C.J. Benoit echoed into the cave.
"Breaker breaker, this is C.J. Benoit from the Batmobile. I'm in dire need of some ******** assistance thanks to the cronies of that ******** assclown Fisk, who since I had to rescue someone from them, have relentlessly been turning my ******** life UPSIDE DOWN! I'm currently in New York, going about two hundred miles an hour tryin' to shake off a real goddamn two-face reject who wants to turn me into a ******** SHISH KEBAB!! Some ASSISTANCE WOULD REALLY BE ******** APPRECIATIVE!!!!!"
End transmission.

((Dood... I honestly have got nothing on how to properly respond to this... Because Punishment will just freak out and all, and whatever you've sent the transmission for has already happened.))

((Sorry 'bout that, Oncaro))
Well, it was dead silent from the radio after that transmission. It was a short time later, when the Batmobile returned to the batcave . . . torn to hell, ejector seats activated, the remaining seat scorched to hell . . . and worst of all, empty. Whatever happened between C.J. borrowing it to get Misty to the Hospital and now had to be very, VERY eventful.

For anyone that recognized his voice, Artemis spoke over the bat-wave's com. "Guys? We might have a problem. I have a sinking feeling that we need to /leave/ Gotham for a few weeks and not tell anyone where we're going. Also get anyone you care about out of their homes and placed elsewhere. I think we might all be in danger." Then the transmission cuts off before anyone could speak to him.

Oracle's web avatar appeared on one of the screens of the Batcomputer and Barbara's voice echoed, "Oracle to Batcave. Anyone home?"

((Okay, just assuming that Brenda's reacted to the Batmobile coming in and has gotten Punishment to go back into his little container, since I couldn't actually come up with responses before.)) Brenda, sitting at the Batwave and going over more files, glanced at the avatar and frowned slightly before making contact with the other, former Bat.
"Someone's here, alright," she said, and despite the fact that it was obviously feminine, Babs would be able to tell that the voice she was hearing resembled Bruce's somewhat.

Oracle's voice returned, slightly unsteady this time, "Who.... Who is this?"

Brenda actually let herself smirk. "The name's Wayne. Brenda Wayne," she said simply, waiting for the explosion on the other end.

Oracle kept her voice calm and even, "Brenda Wayne... How do I know you are who you say you are?"

Brenda facepalmed. "Jeebus..." she muttered, before turning her attention back to Oracle.
"Because I'm in the Batcave, on the Batcomputer, looking through heavily encrypted files that only a Bat would have access to?" she suggested, snark evident in her tone. "I'm not 'your' Bruce... But I used to be Bruce Wayne in my universe. Gender-bending magic is a b***h, and my reality didn't have a Batgirl or anything, so I had to retire early."

Oracle's irritated voice responds, No need to get your panties in a bunch, Brenda, but we've been having a lot of people from other universes popping in. I had to ask. Recently, we had a clairvoyant warn us of something bad about to happen in Gotham. I don't suppose you might have any ideas?"
