Cassie bit her lip. she felt a little woozy. *Its probably the blood.* she thought, but she felt different inside. her body burned within and her skin started to glow. Cassie bent over in pain and sweat poured out of her pores. Julius's wound slowly closed up and Cassie realized that she was simply touching his back. her hands slipped and she fell over on the bed. She curled up into a fetal position.

Julius felt his back. "It's gone..." he said as he looked over at Cassie. "What's wrong?!"

Cassie managed a smile. "I'm glad. I was able to help Julius." she breathed with a little trouble. "I'll be fine in a little bit." she assured him.

Cassie nodded. "As long as i'm able to, I will always take your pain." she said softly.

"It's only temporary." Cassie closed her eyes, she almost fainted. she bit her lip and tasted a little blood but she didn't cry out. "Father, i need you to take me to him." she whispered through her clenched teeth.

Julius nodded and picked Cassie up. He placed her on his back. "Hang on..." Julius wasn't use to carrying Cassie. She was heavy to him, but she made carrying him look easy.

Cassie clenched her jaw and bit back the pain. it was nearly overwhelming now. this wasn't supposed to happen. did she take on too much? she didn't understand, nor could she bare to think of it. the pain blotted everything else out of her mind.

Julius walked out of his bedroom and walked out the front door. He was heading in the direction of her fathers house. "Stay with me Cassie..."

Cassie felt her fingernails start to grow and form into her claws. her back itched like it did before her wings came out. *No, no.... no!* she fought the urge. she gripped Julius with what strength she could manage to hold on but she couldn't hurt him. she forced the air into her lungs steadily, trying not to focus on the pain and her nails receded until they were normal length.

Julius felt her grip tighten. "Stay with me just a little while longer....please don't go...." Julius was about to cry as he picked up his pace.

Cassie's arms and fingers suddenly felt so cold. she shuddered. *what's going to happen?* she thought. *I feel so cold....* Cassie's eyes rolled back in her head slightly.

Julius finally reached Cassie's father's house. He ran past the gates and busted the door down. "Please....stay with me....just a little while longer....stay with me..."

Cassie shivered. Her chest felt heavy and yet she felt as though she'd float away at any second. she groaned.
