Poking her head in with another shovelful, Esmeralda asked, "How many drawers are there? Six, right?" She caught Chris smiling and grinned herself. "Admit it, you're having fun."

Xavier smiled and jokingly said, "I know I am." And then laughed so that she knew he had said it in a friendly way. As they walked, he could see automatic lights going on, triggered by their motions. He knew that as long as they didn't lose sight of the lights, which meant camp was nearby, they would be okay. There was still a lot of the ranch that needed to be explored and found, and he wanted to do just that over the summer. God, he felt like one of those English settlers.
As they continued to walk, Xavier saw a medium sized pond in the distance. It was a tiny pool of deep navy blue from his perspective at the moment, so he wasn't sure what it was yet, but he was curious. He remembered the river, but not the pond...
Kahlilia did as she was told, spreading it all across the sheets in a left-right motion and then covering it with the unharmed blanket. "Beds done." She said and moved on to help the others with the drawers. She couldn't help but wonder how much time they had left until Xavier came back into his room - the sun had set and dusk was settling upon the ranch like a thick blanket of blue and purple.
She smiled when she heard Esmeralda's and Chris' conversation. She kept picturing Xavier's face when he would walk in and see how they had seeked revenge on him. Sweet, sweet vengance.
An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind...
Kahlilia shook her head quickly to erase the troubling secondthought and spread her dirty shovel in one of the drawers.

"I wonder what that upahead is," Summer said, "Do you want to go check it out?" she asked him smiling as she walked faster.

"Good," announced Esmeralda after a few minutes. "Everything's done. Come on, we'd better get out of here - they'll be back soon." She noted with a bit of surprise the look on Kahlilia's face. "What's the matter, Lils? You look upset."
She herself was just amused. This was going to be the beginning of a prank war, hopefully. She needed something to keep herself occupied in her spare time, and thinking up new pranks would be just the ticket.

Xavier nodded and walked with Summer over towards the pond. It wasn't very large or deep, just very wide and dense due to the vegetation growing around it like green monsters. He saw the same bullfrog Kahlilia had seen earlier in the day, sitting near the edge and looking happy. There was another male frog sitting on another farther edge singing its deep, twangy song. Xavier smiled when he heard it and kissed Summer.
"Nothing, just thinking." Kahlilia said quickly. Well, her statement was half true - yes, she had been thinking, of course, but not about nothing. She decided she was being too gloomy and smiled a little. "Where do you guys think they are right now?"
However, her question was answered when she saw the two walking towards the pond she had been by with Roman earlier in the day. They were holding hands and looking in love, just as they had in the mess hall. Thankfully, they were also too googly-eyed to look into the window where all three of them were. "We'd better go right now then." She added quickly with a bit of a giggle once they dissapeared into the trees.
Then, she looked at Esmeralda, eyes glowing with pure curiousity and slight confusion. "How are we going to do that?"

Summer leaned into him all of her earlier passion rising to the surface again. She kissed him pouring her heart and soul into the kiss then she slide her tongue across his bottom lip, "You really enjoy kissing me don't you?" she asked him a little breathless. "It's so beautiful here I never want this summer to end."
Chris looked to where the two of them where, "I'm going to kill Xavier," Chris said as he headed out the door.

"Of course I do." Xavier replied, smiling. Then, he squeezed her hand a tiny bit tighter as a gesture of lovingness and added, "Neither do I. You know, I'm really glad I met you."
God, he sounded so cheesy, like those lovey-dovey characters in the movies. Well, he thought, I guess thats just love. Maybe, maybe not.
Kahlilia's eyes widened and she gave Esmeralda a frightened look for a split second. Chris' tone didn't sound like he was joking this time, and that he was actually angry. She figured he was just being protective of his sister, but there was no way she was going to stand by and let him terrorize the lovers. Well, Xavier at least.
"Hey," She said to him. "I think we've already done enough to him. I mean, come on, look at what we just did to his room."

"Fine but I can still kill him later," Chris said to her trying to calm down.
"I think you've been telling me that since we met," Summer said giggling at him. "How much do you like kissing me?" she asked him pulling away slightly.

"Just as much as I love picking you up," Xavier said, still smiling. "Which is this much." Like the old childhood story, he backed up a little and spread his arms as wide as they could go - which was actually a lot, considering his six foot three height.
Kahlilia closed her eyes for a moment and remembered her own immense anger at Xavier after he had slapped her rump and intimidated her greatly. She knew all three of them were just seeking revenge on him, and that would hopefully be enough to soothe the bubbling feelings of anger. "Okay." She agreed when she opened her green eyes and looked around the room. Then, she looked over at the other two. "We'd better go now, though. Get rid of the tractor and stuff like that."

Xavier smiled and picked her up, swinging her around quickly and laughing. He loved her so much, he knew that she was always on his mind and probably always would be. No matter what, he felt like there was no one else.
No one else...
Xavier began to notice that it was getting darker by the minute, and he swore he saw a bat or something. "D'you want to go back over by the others, or no?" He asked her. Truthfully, he had liked all this alone time with her and didn't want to spoil it, but darkness can make people surrender to its powers.

"No i don't want to leave just yet, I want to stay here until midnight when the dare is supposed to take place," She said smiling at him and wrapping her legs around his waist to keep from sliding out of his arms.
