Stars there everywhere which means I'm always with you. LA lalala la lala. " Rune sang quietly,the song had a dark hymn to it but yet a soft feeling. She kept on singing her old village song that her mother taught her as she cleaned the floor.

Rune finished the floor and stood wiping the sweat from her forehead she putt
the rag on the side of the bucket. Picking it up she walked out to the back and dumped the water where had to go. Walking back inside she put the rag in the laundry and the bucket back in the closet. "now then now thats done i'll.... i'll practice dancing" Rune said rushing up stairs to the maids room,she grabbed her red fan with a green dragon on the front. "this should work" Making her way back down the hallway and downstairs she went outside. Slipping on her outdoor shoes she went and found a nice clear area to practice.

Rune tossed up the fan caught again,getting a little better Rune wanted to try other moves she had seen other maiko and geisha do. So twirling around she tossed the fan and she waited for to come down.To catch as she turned back around. But instead she tripped herself and fell face down,then the fan came down and hit her head. "owww that hurt" Rune said sitting up and brushing off herself. She picked up the fan tried our things. She tossed her fan up so it would flip and she catch it. But she missed she did this for awhile and then getting tired and her hand getting sore. She sat down on a rock and looked at the sky. "it's so beautifully here"

Amattyan was humming lightly as she stumbled upon the new help. "Hello, Do you need any assistance? My name is Amaya, but people call me Amattyan." She giggled at the girl playing with the Fans. "You will have plenty of time to practice that when you become a Maiko. For now, I'm not sure mother would be happy with you playing with the fans." She smiled at the girl. " She waved the girl to follow her. "Would you like to help me make the dinner?" she pulled out a bag of rice and some spices and meats. She washed her hands and put on the apron and began cutting up food and boiling water.

"Hello I'm Rune" Rune stopped seeing she would get into trouble "great Rune do something bad on your first day..stupid me" Rune then bowed apologizing "I'm sorry,and I would love to help you make dinner" Rune said following the girl into the kichtion "so what should I do?" She asked watching Amattyan cutting.

She smiled at Rune, "Well, Do you know how to cook rice?" She gently dropped the fish and beef she had been cutting into a bowl, and rinsed it off, she poured the meats into the pot she had sat down and hung it over the flame, she reached over picking up a wooden spoon and stirred it, then turning she looked back up at Rune.

Rune looked at Amattyan in amazement "it's been a long since I last made some rice but i'll see if I still can" she said smiling "your really good at cooking Amattyan" Rune said smelling the fish and beef cook "can't wait to taste it" Rune then took a pot and put the rice in it,then she poured some water in just to cover it. Putting the lid on it she placed on the fire and waited while it cooked.

Amattyan smiled. "Thank you, I lived with my father and brother, and they were not very good at cooking..." She giggled, "Making rice is quite simple." she stirred at her chicken again.

Rune checked on the rice seeing that it was almost done "ok then drain them and add spices,oh this is going to be tasty" Rune said getting the strainer ready. "if you don't mind me asking but how long have you been here?" Rune said leaning on the doorway.

"I... I have been here about 3 weeks." She said, looking over at Rune. "I'll be taking my classes soon to become Maiko, So I'm quite excited!" She laughed, and pulled her meats off the stove, sitting the pot on the counter she spooned out the meats into another pot and poured our the one she had just used. Turning to the counter and looked around, taking down another jar of spices, she took a spoon full and mixxed it into the meat, putting the spice back into the cabinet.

"congrats to you if they do let you" Rune said smiling and clapping lightly. "oh the rice must be done" Rune then pulled off the lid and grabbed the pot. Pouring out the rice and water into the strainer. Then putting the pot away she then poured the rice into a bowl. Adding some spices the rice was done "ok now that the foods done,what next?" Rune said holding the bowl of rice.

Amattyan took the bowl from her and poured in her meats, mixxing them up, adding a few more spices, she sat them on the counter and took out two bowls, and two sets of chopsticks. she filed the two bowls up to the rim with food, and handed one bowl and one of the chopstick sets to her, smiling. "Come, Eat." She laughed and lead her a little ways to a room with a large table. Amattyan sits and begins eating.

"yeah food,thank you very much" Rune said sitting down,she looked at the food and then began eat." yum this food is so good" Rune said smiling holding her chopsticks close to her face."You know what, when you become a maiko that means you get to go to the teahouse and get to go to school,your so lucky" Rune said eating some more.

Amattyan quickly finished and stood, taking her bowl, sitting it in the sink. "Well, I'm going to go clean up some of the Geisha's rooms.. I suppose I'll see you a little later... Good luck!"

"ok bye" Rune said standing up she went into the kichtion and set down her bowl into the sink. She walked back to the front,then making her way to the to the table she wiped it down. She cleaned the table till shined and then straightened the cushions.
