Kyley glanced up to take a look at Tokeru and make sure that it was him and not someone else eating his steak. "I'm," she said with iceing-covered smile, "almost done. Does that mean that Auntie Eden will be back soon?"

Tokeru smiled, Kyley had crumbs all over her face. "I hope so. If not, then I give you the authority to yell at her if you want."
Tokeru hoped that Edith would be back soon, Kyley was a handful, and he was going insane. He knew why Edith always had headaches.

"I don't," Kyley said to Tokeru as if he were the biggest idiot in the world, "want to yell at Auntie Eden when she gets back. I want to hug her and ask her if she had a fun time. Are you sure we can't go visit her or something? Does her brother not like us? Does he think we're going to eat all of his cake and steak if we come?"

Tokeru just could not answer any more questions. "Kyley, I don't know. I really really don't. Ask her when she comes back. I'll be right behind you when you ask her, supporting you. And make sure you ask her why she didn't take you along."
Tokeru grinned evilly. If Edith was gonna mess with him, then he was gonna mess with her, in the form of a child question bomb.

Kyley sighed with restlessness, she did not want to sit here anymore. She started fidgeting around, making random noises that were repetative and of pure annoyance though she seemed to enjoy them. Then she started kicking the seat she was in, swinging her legs back and fourth, listening to the metallic sound of her runners clashing against the metal legs of the chair. Boom, boom, boom. Tap, tap, tap. Rattle, rattle rattle. These were only a few of the repetitive noises she created as she sat there restlessly until finally she complained, "I'm bored."

Tokeru rubbed his temples. Does this child never stop?
"Kyley" he started. "Would you like to ride Savage again?"
He looked over to the from of the cafeteria, to see the tiger looking lornefully at him. "He's done eating."

"Nooooooooooooooooo," gasp for air. "Oooooooooooooooooooooooo." Another gasp for air, "oooooooooooooooo." Yet another gasp for air, "oooooooooooo!!" Finally, she relented in saying no, then she jumped out of her seat, breathing fairly heavily from holding her no for so long. "I want to do something fun!"

Tokeru felt like bashing his head against the table, in fact, in his mind he did do just that. He was slamming his head against the table over and over.
"You wanna play hide and go seek? I'll hide, you seek?"

The hyper girl was now running around throughout the cafeteria, not particularly paying attention to Tokeru. She was vibrating her lips to create a vehicle-like sound as she placed her hands in the air, pretending to be a plane. However, when Tokeru spoke she stopped for a few moments to answer. "No. I'll get lost!" Back to her airplane buzzing, she started running around the room again.

Tokeru had had enough. Picking up his beeper, he message Edith.
I know you're at the wedding and all but, KYLEY IS DRIVING ME INSANE. Please come back. I have a massive headache and i want to bash my head against the wall real hard, untill I pass out. Like, i want to drive a drill through my brain, and swirl it around. Please, please come back.

Edith had read Tokeru's message and it helped to cheer her up a little though she was sure that she would need a little more time to get over this whole ordeal. With an almost smile, she took out her device and started texting Tokeru back.

Edith popped into the cafeteria, after asking a doctor where Tokeru had gone off to. She had given herself enough time to wipe her tears away and though she knew that it was not the smartest idea, she could not keep this from Tokeru like she had Reno. "Heya Angel," she said in greeting to him, sounding a little more distracted than usual, "I'm back."

Tokeru ran to her, and hugged her. He whispered in her ears. "Thank the god's your back. Kyley has been driving me insane. How did her parents put up with it? Then again, in retrospect, i didn't need to get her cake. Although, I figured eating would stop her from asking questions."
He noticed dried tears on her cheeks. with concern in his voice, he asked her what was wrong.

Edith was surprised at how fast Tokeru had rushed up to her and when he hugged her she chortled softly and bear-hugged him back, giving him a good pat on the back. "Thanks for looking after her," she said looking over to the now burnt-out child, "but I think you wasted her. She looks like she's down for the count. Gosh, cake. What the hell were you thinking? You like your cake, don't you?" She smiled, sticking her tongue out at him.
When Tokeru asked her what was wrong with her she was dumbfounded for a moment, wondering how he knew. Then she noticed him looking at her cheeks where her tears had been. "I," she said, really not wanting to tell him, but not able to keep it to herself, "was with Reno... before I came back. He was at the wedding, then he rushed out of the Chapel and I followed. He was going to do something really stupid and I went to stop him... I didn't mean to but I ended up kissing him... I'm sorry. I'm just... really ******** up."

Tokeru smiled at her gently, then kissed her. He held the kiss for a few seconds, then told her. "My little temptress, I trust you. If you did that to save your friend, I understand. I would do the same for any of my friends. I'm not mad at you, and I doubt you will ever be able to make me mad at you, although, leaving me alone with Kyley almost did make me insane, so in that regards it would have happened."
He grabbed her hands with his, and smiled at her. "Come on, lets put her with hope. She needs something to distract her from the TV."

Edith was relieved that Tokeru understood what she had done, better so than maybe even she did. That was kind of eerie, that people could understand her better than she could understand herself. "I'm glad," Edith whispered softly, resting her head on his shoulder, "to know that. But I'm not so sure I trust myself. I'm not sure if I did it because I wanted to have things go both ways or because I was hoping to stop him. You should be mad. I'm an awful person. Reno should be mad at me too and yet he blames everything on you. I'm sorry for this ******** up mess. It's all my fault."
When Tokeru took hold of her hands she felt a little better. He had had that soothing effect on her ever since she had known him. Whenever he touched her, whenever she heard his voice, whenever she saw him, he made her feel better somehow. "I'm sure," Edith said with a chuckle to Tokeru, "that she's not going to do too much of anything. When Kyley's down, she's down for the count."
