Alice picked up on the yelling and twisted around slightly. "Oh, I hate that..." She whispered. "I'd go help, but its a family thing. Don't need me making it worse." Avarice nodded, watching her curiously. "Do you blame yourself? That is his son afterall and I'm sure the kid must loath you for being with his father...I mean, Edward did leave his wife after Tyler's death."
Alice looked at him, surprised. "He...did?" She whispered. Avarice nodded. "Of course. Didn't even stick around to lift her back off her feet. Some man, isn't he?" Alice glared, standing. "I don't care what he's done in the past, sir. He had every reason for doing it. Losing his child...it's tragic." Picking up her violin case and slipping on her boots, she turned. "I'm sorry, sir, but I'll be leaving. I don't appreciate hearing gossip about something so personal involving a man I love."
Before she could actually get very far, Avarice was infront of her. "My dear, leaving so soon...it's rather rude. I don't appreciate rudeness."

Her green eyes narrowed to Avarice's gold ones. Clenching her fist around her violin case, she smacked it hard across his face, knocking Avarice sideways, before running off to Edward. Avarice growled, adjusting his jaw before smiling. "I think I found my next specimen." Turning, he strolled of, over the river and back to Haven. He wouldn't persue, it was just too risky.
Alice continued to run, not caring to look back and bumped into Edward, knocking her back.

"I care enough to know that it hurts me to be around your mother, and that it wouldn't be fair to either of us if I returned to her. I am going to go find Alice now. Go pay mum a visit." He turned and left towards the river where he knew Alice was.

Feeling Alice hit him, he leaned forward and grabbed her before she hit the ground. "Whats wrong love?" He caught a scent that she had carried with her and his pupils dilated. "Avarice." he spoke quietly. "Are you ok?" He looked down at her worried that he tried something horrible.

She shook her head. "No, I'm fine...I just got a little...carried away I guess." Wrapping her arms around his waist, she rested her head against his shoulder. "Sorry to worry you."

"A guy came across me and I got upset with him...he got angry and tried to stop me from leaving him." She said, taking a breath before continueing. "Then, I smacked him with my violin case and hauled a** here as fast as I could." She looked over at Tyler. "What happened here?"

"I was just leaving." He started to walk away. "That man was Dr. Avarice, the reason my son died, and a menace to everyone. He is sick, twisted, and most likely looking for a new experiment. Sad to say you would be perfect due to your not being able to die."

She felt herself getting nervous. "Experiments?" Alice shuddered at the idea, suddenly feeling cold. "I-I don't think I've ever been so worried about something in my life." She pulled herself closer. "So, he killed your son?"

"No, just the reason. I killed Tyler because of what he did. Avarice did something to him, and because I moved him, he died." He picked her up so he could move fast. "And you don't have to worry, I will protect you at all costs."

Running her fingers down the sides of his face, she nodded. "I trust you. Even if something does happen to me, I know you'll be the knight...just like in the fairy tales."

Tyler flapped his wings a few times and asended off the ground and awayfrom the two. "If I had only held on a little longer none of this would have happened." He wispered to himself as he flew away.

carful not to touch anything she weaved her way threw the old wall's.. long sense burnt to the ground. with out haveing to realy look she pulled out a small box, digging where it had sat. the last time she had come here.. she had burried the files and note's on the scientists tests, not being able to destroy them completely. a scraping sound told her she found it, and she hauled the midium sized wooden box up to the ground. " here..." she said quietly, takeing the cover from the crate. " the file's on the surviveing test subjects."
