Mitsu smiled a bit sadly as she accepted the Pokeball. She loved the horse as well, it was simply magnificent. "I promise to take care of him," Mitsu replied looking up at her brother. She held eye contact for a few moments before holding the ball close to her heart. "You can count on me." Her eyes teared up a bit before she she wiped them away. She would really miss her big bro. She had spent so much time with him and they were incredibly close. One of the closest people she had ever had the pleasure of knowing. Deciding that she needed to be strong about this she smiled a bigger smile. "I hope your learning goes fast then. And you should visit me and Apollo sometime. Karri would love it too. Promise?" She fingered the minature Pokeball silently wondering if the Rapidash would accept herand if Dante would accept her proposal. Please accept Dante, I already miss you.

With one final shake, the Beedrill was able to shake Ada from its body, and the Larvitar fell to the ground with a thud. Groaning, she struggled to get up, her body aching all over. The giant bee hovered above Ada, staring down at the Larvitar with a look not of malice or anger, but a look of respect. Haruka wore a similar expression, looking at the Larvitar with an almost sad gaze. Someday she'll make an amazing Tyranitar, she thought, before raising her hand. "Okay Beedrill, it's time to finish it! Sludge Bomb, go!" she shouted.

Its wings beating rapidly, the Beedrill rose up and raised its arms, bringing them together as a gooey, purple aura seeped down its arms and coated its stingers. With a cry the sludge was then launched forward with an alarming speed, and there wasn't anything Ada could do to avoid it. The goop splattered all over the place and all over Adamantine too, and when it was over she lay unconscious on the ground. Kasiya frowned and held up her Pokeball to recall her. But Ada had an advantage... how did that happen? Kasiya thought, trying not to giggle at the Ada-shaped clear patch on the ground where the Sludge Bomb had hit. "Okay Shocker," she said then, looking to her shoulder at the Raichu. "Get in there and finish off that Beedrill!"

"Raiii..." Shocker replied quickly, patting Kasiya on the head and pointing down at where Levi should have been standing and then to the battlefield. Confused, Kasiya followed the Raichu's gestures, eyes going wide when she realized Levi wasn't beside her, and instead had waddled out onto the battlefield and was glaring up at the Beedrill, ready to rumble. While Kasiya panicked, Shocker simply laughed, bits of static crackling from her cheeks. While she didn't know the Marshtomp that well yet, she did like the little thing's spirit.

When Mai awoke earlier that very same morning, she was pleased to find herself feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, and ready to take on the day. She'd been up quite late with her latest task and she had decided not to go to bed until she was satisfied with her progress. Now, as she strolled along the corridor of the Viridian Base, she stopped to admire her reflection in one of the decorative mirrors, also pleased to find herself looking in tip-top shape and hot to boot. "It's a good day," she murmured, content for now just to make her rounds with Serenity at her heels. It was a nice feeling, to glare into a room and have every Rocket grunt jump up fearfully and try to speed up their work. "Good to be me," she murmured with a small smile. She even looked the part of the professional today, having pulled back her hair and kept it up with a clip in the back. It meant she lost the ability to partially hide her face behind her hair but she liked the way it looked. She nodded to the Espeon before the two continued along, making their way to Giovanni's office for the morning's briefing.

"Hahaha! It seems your puny pokemon has gotten some courage! It doesn't matter Corphish and I will still take you down! Use your Tackle Corphish hit that puny pink thing for all you are worth!" The Corphish ignored the stinging of the poison as it charged forward towards Brook.

For his part Brook stood his ground bravely bracing himself in the sand, it wasn't so scary if he could just fix himself right after. Robin however had other plans. "Brook you get going and tackle him right back!" Brooks tackle wouldn't do nearly as much damage as she would really like but it would help the poison take care of their enemy. Casting a glance back at his trainer for a second Brook stared for a moment before deciding what the hell and charged forward in his own tackle.

There was a loud smack as the two pokemon collided in the sand. Being the lighter and not as strong as the two Brook was sent flying. Since Brook was a duel natured pokemon and one of those happened to be flying he caught himself on the wind and landed easily on the ground. When he landed Brook let out a cry and tried to run back to Robin, that tackle had hurt!

"Brook no! You need to stay in the battle!" Robin cried using her foot to keep Brook from scampering back. Beneath her foot Brook just cried a bit before turning back around. He didn't like battling!

"Haha! Looks like my mighty Corphish scared your puny pink thing! Haha Corphish lets use your Vicegrip again!" The Swimmer just laughed not noticing the wince his Corphish made before it started to charge forward.

Brook who was still trying to hide behind Robin gave an unhappy squeal. Robin who was also in the charging path gave a cry to, she didn't want to be hit! "Gah Brook Synthesis!" Robin cried hoping that the healing would make it so that Brook would survive this next attack. Both Robin and Brook though were screaming as the Corphish charged them. Raising its claw to bring down on Brook and probably Robin's foot the Corphish stopped for a moment before foaming in the mouth and falling over as the poison got to it just in time. Both Robin and Brook stopped screaming and stared down at it before letting out a sigh of relief.

Dante just smiled at Mitsu and gave her a small salute. "Can do Little sis. I have always been a fast learner." He paused for a second before deciding to mention this. "I still have my Pokenavi if you ever want to call me for anything." He had a lot of things to do but if Mitsu ever needed anything he was sure he could find some way in which to help her out. Who knows he might be able to finish up early and travel around with her some. "I am sure you and Apollo will accomplish many things. For now though I can't come with you. Maybe in the future but not now." His last words said he scooped Mitsu up in a good bye for now hug. "Make your own luck Mitsu don't let anything get you down." He whispered in her ear before letting her go and heading out of the pokemon center. It hurt to let the last bit of his former life go but he knew it was necessary to move on. It wasn't like he would never see them again he was sure that he would. Stepping out into the cool night air he looked up at the sky for a second before shaking his head and heading off.

Crenu stopped whistling as an older looking guy left the center. He watched him as he left, there was something about him that was familiar, but he knew he had never seen this guy before. It didn't matter though, Crenu was sure it was just him. He stared back up into the night sky and started to whistle again. The breeze was getting a tad chilly now as more and more starts started to appear in the deep blue sky. Back in Ecruteak the sky was nice, but not like this. Here it just seemed...big. Staring out into the ocean's horizon made the sky seem to stretch on forever, and with the night sky reflecting so beautifully on the clean waters of Saleport it was twice as pleasing to look at. Almost like you could dive right into the water and fall through into a second sky where this one would appear as the ripple riddled reflection that you watched as you floated like a Butterfree above. A large wave broke up the reflection from time to time, but it always came back as it fighting for it's right to be the heaven's equal here on earth. For the first time in a while, Crenu smiled a genuine smile, he was actually enjoying himself. His whistle slowly started to change into a more upbeat tune, though it retained some sadness.

"Levi, wait!" Kasiya cried, looking fearfully up at Haruka and the Beedrill. Shocker was still laughing about it, even after Kasiya gave her a shove and knocked her to the ground. A little teary-eyed but otherwise fine, Shocker sat up, rubbing her face as she looked towards Levi, the occasional snort and giggle escaping her.

Haruka seemed to be amused by the Marshtomp's bravery and the Raichu's antics, but said nothing. Her Beedrill hovered somewhat weakly in the air nearby, having a noticeably difficult time keeping airborne. It may have been able to defeat Ada but the Larvitar had very nearly taken it down with her, but even still it attempted to stare down Levi like it were ready to continue. Kasiya sighed and glanced at Shocker, who nodded up at her. If worse came to worse she'd recall the Marshtomp, already having decided she would not let Levi get hurt if she could help it.

"Beedrill, Twineedle, go!" Haruka shouted, not wasting any time once she saw Kasiya wasn't recalling her Pokemon. With significantly less speed, the large bee flew forward, rearing back and preparing to strike the Marshtomp with its deadly stingers. Levi, however, had other ideas when it came to those deadly stingers coming towards her and she rolled to the side and avoided taking any damage, helped by the fact that the Beedrill's attempt seemed almost lazy. Kasiya quickly ordered Levi to counter with a Water Gun, but the bee had enough energy to dodge, the watery attack barely clipping a leg. Kasiya frowned, knowing that even though weakened it probably wouldn't take much for the Beedrill to knock Levi out.

Flannery glanced over her shoulder and back towards the house, silently wondering if Mrs Summers needed any help getting their lunch together. Either way it seemed like the boys were taking forever to finish their battle, although that might have been due to the fact that she was a little impatient and wanted to get back to her gym sometime today. We really made a mess of the gym again, she thought sadly, wondering if it would be against the rules to outlaw the use of Dig and Earthquake while inside the gym.

Felsic was looking tired now, and Flannery knew that only one more hit would bring him down. She almost hadn't expected Keegan to get past the Typhlosion but then again those boys had a knack for surprising her. She smiled wistfully and absentmindedly poked at Magu's Pokeball, which rested safely in her pocket.

[ @ la crenu - pretty words. O: ]

Jaxon gradually came out of that dark abyss called sleep, feeling rather disoriented at he stared blankly at the gray ceiling looming above him. He rolled to his side, eyes still staring blankly ahead; no woman and gloomy atmosphere meant he was at his own quarters at base. General human intelligence came back to him about then, and his mind finally connected the sore feeling in his arms and legs to the training he'd done last night. Sore was good, though. It meant progress.

At some time last night, he had almost worried that Chad would soon out-grow him as a sparring partner, but after watching Giovanni he saw that it'd be possible after all. Unlike those other feeble trainers out there who used their Pokemon as a crutch for their own incapability, he could fight beside his Pokemon if need be.

Still groggy, he checked the clock and groaned a bit before rolling out of bed. Today, he recalled, there was a required briefing of sorts for the admins and up. Really, he really didn't command that much authority beyond the grunts, but he was curious as to what the plan was for the upcoming days. Knowledge meant the ability to do a job thoroughly and precisely. In fact, Jaxon's specialty was information extraction, through whatever means necessary (which sometimes meant getting with some broad with connections).

He fixed himself up in his usual fashion, with a dress shirt with the Rocket insigma, slacks. His eyes, pools of molten gold, stared with a frown at the mirror; he'd never been much of a morning person. Regardless, he struck out around then, heading for the boss' office.

Saw Mai coming down the other way, and remembered the night before; she looked herself today, he thought to himself. Every time he saw that blonde hair, that face, his stupid mind saw Aiko -- at least until said stupid mind realized that Aiko's eyes were never cold as that, and that Aiko was long dead. In any case, a part of him wanted to ask the rhetoric question and ask if she was feeling better, but he could already figure what she'd say and how she'd say it. So he bid her a cool good morning, watching as the door slid open and entering after she and another bustling female Admin entered, for the latter he kept the doors open.

Kasiya bit her lip and watched Levi as she glared angrily at the Beedrill - how dare it avoid her Water Gun like that! It was then the girl decided that the Beedrill wasn't going to get the best of either of them and she raised her left hand. "Okay Levi, hit 'em with your new attack!" she shouted, now punching the air with her right. Levi looked back at her trainer for a moment or so before nodding. At first she didn't know what Kasiya was talking about but she quickly recalled being taught a new move just a few moments ago. When Levi opened her mouth, a ball of bluish-white energy began to form, growing larger before she lunged forward, sending the Ice Beam rocketing towards the weakened Beedrill.

This time the bee knew it couldn't escape, and it closed its eyes as the beam of ice struck it square in the chest. It then fell to the ground with a heavy thud, unable to continue fighting or even fly for that matter, but the latter was mostly thanks to the icy crystals clinging to its legs and wings. Haruka said nothing and recalled the fallen bee, gazing at Levi intently for a moment or so before holding up a Great Ball. "One more," she said, now grinning at Kasiya. "This has been more fun than I thought it'd be." With those words she let the blue and red sphere fly, where it burst open on the ground revealing a large and very familiar Pokemon. Both Kasiya and Shocker's eyes opened wide at the sight of the magnificent Arcanine that appeared before them, pawing at the ground and shaking its mane intently. Noting Kasiya's reaction, Haruka grinned again. "So, you like my Arcanine?" she asked, reaching up to pat it on the shoulder. "He's recently evolved from a Growlithe and raring to go." At those words, the Arcanine let out a mighty roar and glared down at the tiny Marshtomp, who shuddered in return and took a few steps back.

Kasiya nodded and stretched her arms out, placing her hands behind her head. She thought about telling Haruka about Hiro but decided against it, instead looked at Levi. "You up for it, Levi?" she asked, smiling when the Marshtomp nodded. "Okay then! Let's get things started with your Mud Shot!" If Levi was willing to try, then why shouldn't she allow it? Besides, the thing about having raised an Arcanine meant that she knew what kind of attacks it was capable of. Levi's cheeks puffed out a bit before she opened her mouth and fired a bullet-like spread of mud globs at the Arcanine.

That morning, Giovanni was already wide awake, his Persian by his side. The man tilted his head to the side and popped his neck then stood up, glancing out the massive window of his bedroom. "Those children have that party today and tomorrow..." he said to nobody, except maybe his Persian, before heading to his wardrobe to pull out one of his many suits. They were all the same: orange jacket and slacks, a dark green vest with an off-white undershirt and red tie. He quickly went from pajamas to this suit and left his room, Persian following at his heels.

It was good to be the leader, since whenever he strolled by a lesser Grunt, they began to cower. That sort of power was rare in this world and knowing that he had it certainly did wonders for his ego. He entered his office from the back, appearing behind his desk. Three Admins were already in the room. "Good morning," he scowled, sitting down in his large chair behind his mahogany desk. Normally, he would bring chairs in for them, yet he felt so very uninspired to do so; he hoped they would be fine with standing, though it's not as if they had much choice in the matter.

"As you all know, today is the day of that party. I'm sure our close friends will be there. You know the ones," he did mean those blasted kids, "and so you three have quite a mission in front of you. I know you all have your communicators." Giovanni leaned forward and locked his fingers together, glaring at them over his knuckles, "Go incognito and find out as much about those kids that we don't already know. Mike and Kilik have a large enough record, so let me worry about them. Kasiya, Keegan, Mitsu, and those other children, however...well. Get on their good sides."

"Today," he continued, "is also Rowan's announcement. After the dinner, will reveal yourselves and call in for reinforcements to steal all the Pokemon he has brought along. You have my entire armada at your disposal and every Grunt willing to do as you say. I myself will be appearing as well, and when I do, I will be taking over from there." He glanced over at Mai, "So. Are there any questions?"
PostPosted: Wed Aug 13, 2008 11:15 am

((Max, the party and Rowan's seminar are all on the same day. The party will start around 10 AM or so and go all day long with Rowan's announcement to follow sometime after supper.))
"Arcanine, dodge it and counter with Ember," Haruka said quickly. Flexing his powerful muscles, the Arcanine quickly jumped off to the side, avoiding all but one of the gobs of muck (which spattered somewhat harmlessly on one of his forelegs) before opening his mouth and letting a weak burst of flames fly out at the Marshtomp. Levi's eyes went wide at the sight of the Arcanine avoiding her attack almost effortlessly, leaving her somewhat prone to the embers that then proceeded to come at her. She closed her eyes and hunkered down as the flames licked at her back and she winced, knowing that the large Fire-type had held back the full extent of his attack and suddenly she was aware of just how powerful the Arcanine was in comparison to her.

Kasiya stared incredulously at Haruka, her lip twitching a bit in annoyance. It seemed Haruka knew Levi was still young and fairly inexperienced so she was going to hold back. While normally Kasiya would be glad for such consideration this time it seemed to make her mad. Whether it was just Haruka's attitude or the smug smirk on her face or whatever, she felt quite annoyed with how she was being treated. "Now Levi, use Surf!" Kasiya shouted, the anger in her voice rising noticeably. Levi seemed to share the attitude of being underestimated and the little Marshtomp let out a roar before she summoned up a large wave of water and directed it at the Arcanine.

It didn't get the reaction Kasiya and Levi had hoped for though. Instead of looking fearful, Haruka and her Arcanine simply grinned. "Arcanine, Extremespeed! Dash through the water!" she shouted, her voice firm and unwavering. The large canine crouched low before dashing forward, trail of white light streaming behind him as he ran, not unlike the light from a Quick Attack, but much brighter and more intense. The Arcanine then plowed through the raging tsunami heading towards it, cringing a little from the cool water but otherwise looking fine as he stopped just in front of Levi, grinning down at the smaller Pokemon smugly.

Kasiya grit her teeth, knowing full-well Haruka could have had her Arcanine slam into Levi to follow up the dash through the Surf, but she didn't, and Kasiya felt herself grow a little more angry at the thought. Extremespeed... can Hiro use Extremespeed? she thought, unsure of if he could or not. Either way it was a magnificent attack and she'd love for Hiro to be able to use a move like that.

"Hurray! Brook you beat that stupid lobster!" Robin cheered picking up the Hoppip and spun him around in her arms. " Let's see who is up next you tell me if you think you can beat him." She said looking Brook in the eyes.

"Hahaha! You better be prepared you wont get past my next pokemon so easily!" The swimmer let out another booming laugh as he pulled out another net ball and a strange cube. "All right lets go Feebas!" Out of the net ball a strange fish that kind of looked like cheese popped out. It might have been a bit more threatening if it wasn't flopping around on the ground.

Upon seeing the pokemon Brook and Robin broke into loud laughter each of them holding their sides as the small pokemon flopped around on the ground. "Oh man! You had me scared for a second! There is no way your little cheese fish will be able to win even against Brook!" Brook didn't seem to take much offense to that and was laughing just as hard as Robin.

"I'm not done yet!" The Swimmer yelled loudly going over to his Feebas and feeding it the strange cube. The fish ate it great fully as the Swimmer backed away. In the background Robin and Brook were still laughing. Upon finishing the Feebas's body began to shake and light started to come from it. Suddenly in a blinding flash the Feebas was there no more and instead was the long body of a beautiful Millotic. "Haha! What do you have to say now!"

Durring this Robin and Brook stopped laughing and just stared at the now large, beautiful and powerful looking Millotic. "Well crap." Robin muttered. That seemed to summon up Brooks feelings to as he looked at the now much larger then him. "Ummm good luck Brook." Robin muttered. Hearing this Brook turned to look at her with wide eyes wishing that he could go back. "Oh no! We are going to finish this battle! Now heal your wounds use Synthesis!" Robin was determined to have Brook see this through. Maybe the new pokemon was exhausted by its new transformation? On the ground Brook started to bring what little light he could into his body. The Synthesis was successful healing his wounds and making him look good as new.

"Millotic use your Tackle!" The Swimmer called out. The water snake like pokemon slithered forward and charged right into Brook. The poor Hoppip panicked and released a cloud of purple spores right into the Millotics face.

Mitsu smiled sadly as Dante gave her one last hug. She returned the hug rather tightly before letting the boy walk out of the Pokemon Center, vanishing into the night sky. Perhaps even vansihing from her life for a while. Sure he said he learned fast, but one would expect there to be a lot to learn if they were going to be working under the legendary Pokemon. What a job to begin with! Mitsu wiped the last few tears from her eyes before walking over to the Pokemon Storage System. "Who am I going to send over to Birch?" She held out the six Pokeballs of her own in front of her. Karri, never. Ivy, no. Ebony, no. Hm, Zyhper should probably stay with me for the time being. He'd be too much trouble for Birch. Atfer tucking those four spheres into her bag all that remained was Sapphire and Haku's balls. "Sapphire and Ivy are a pair, but Haku's still little."

In the end Mitsu decided to send both Haku and Sapphire over to Touya. He had a Kingdra of his own who could teach Haku how to fight and swim and the like and his Arcanine would help Sapphire control his passion for battle. She clikced on the computer and dialed Touya's number. Hia groggy face appeared on the screen after a few rings. "What!" he asked sharply glaring as best as he could. Mitsu's small smile still held hints of sadness in it but she smiled nonetheless. "Was wondering if you could help some of my Pokemon. Haku my Horsea needs some help with swimming and Sapphire's a bit too passionate for battle." Touya groaned, "Send them over. I may have beaten both the Kanto and Jhoto league but that doesn't mean I'm a freakin` daycare all right Mitsu?"

"Thanks Touya. How's Nightmare?" she asked as she placed Sapphire's Pokeball into the machine.

"He's doing better than before. I think his experiences with the Rockets doesn't cause him as much pain anymore. He's more level headed now."

"That's good. Thanks for taking care of him."

The second Pokeball had now finished passing through the machine and was now in Toyua's hand. "Take care of yourself now. No need to worry about 'em." And with that and a click the screen turned black.

Touya sighed as he placed Syther's Pokeball into the Pokemon Center's machine slot. "Good bye for now," he said as he watched his Pokemon get wisped away in an array of lights and noise. Sure he had a lot of Pokemon, even ones stronger than the usual that he carried with him, but Syther was one of his closest Pokemon.

The night air was still cold yet crisp as he stepped back outside. Nightmare and Dragonite were still out fighting deeper in the ocean. His Twister training was going very well. He unhooked two Pokeballs, one on each side of his hips with the opposite hand. He tossed them both up, the X his arms had previously formed straighted out as the red light exploded into the night sky revealing two Fire type Pokemon. Arcanine and Sapphire both appeared as Touya caught the two spheres and clipped them back into thier place. "Arcanine help Sapphire train."

A quick trip down the safe side of the island's cliffs lead to a shallow pool of water as well as a small patch of land with a single tree. It had been one of his favorite spots for it never seemed to be submerged within the ocean's waves during high tide or low tide. The eb and flow of the sea water always seemed to be constant. Two more flashes of red light revealed Haku and Kingdra. Time to train.

Mitsu stepped out into the cold night air enjoying the rush of cool air that burst into her face as the sliding doors seperated. Mitsu gave Crenu a small nod. She wanted to say, "Nice night, eh?" but then again he wasn't much of a talker and she didn't want to push any conversation onto him, even if they had just met that day. A few paces away from the Pokemon Center Mitsu held up Apollo's Pokeball. A small click could be heard as she sent out the silver horse. She reached up and pet his nose a bit. "Hey there Apollo," Mitsu said lightly. The horse whined softly nudging Mitsu a bit almost questioning where Dante might be. "I'm sure he told you already. I'm going to take care of you for now all right Apollo? Dante will be back soon."

The Rapidash understood her pefectly which he showed by giving her another reassuring nudge. Mitsu smiled, glad that Apollo had accepted her. "We'll train together and become stronger. I'm sure Dante would like that," Mitsu said stroking Apollo's neck. The flames didn't burn her, but felt more warm and welcoming than anything. He gave a low neigh as if to say that they'd grow stronger together. Not only for Dante, but for them as well. Apollo looked happy with his new trainer and that Mitsu was greatful for.

Dragonite reared his head back shooting out another Ice Beam at the half submerged Gyrados. Nightmare wasn't having any of this, however, as he countered with a Flamethrower. The Fire attack had gotten much stronger with Touya's guidance and the sea winds didn't whip the flames away into the night sky. The stream of fire was strong as it hit head on with Dragonite's Ice Beam, melting the freezing cold ice. Nightmare smirked, which actually looked a bit odd. He was proud at his new found strength and he'd be able to protect Mitsu even more efficiently now.

Dragonite decided to mix it up and threw out a Thunder as Touya had commanded that he do from time to time. The clouds crackled with light and the ocean's own roar was interrupted with a flash of light and thundering boom. The blot of lightning erupted from the heavens and crashed upon Nightmare hitting it's mark. The attack did quite a bit of damage, especially as it was conducted by the ocean water. Before when Touya had used even a mere Thundershock attack or even Flash from his Electabuzz Nightmare would roar and turn into a frenzy of attacks and destruction. Now he hesitated a bit, but was able to take the attack with a level head.

Nightmare roared as the electric attack struck. The pain coursed through his body but he managed to hang on. It was the only attack that had hit him full on. The Surf attacks and ice Beams rarely made thier mark as Touya had instructed counter attacks that worked brilliantly against it. Dragonite returned the roar as he began to summon another blot of lightning from the night sky. Nightmare once again hesitated a the sight of electricity filled his vision. This time would be different though as he snapped back into reality summoning a masssive Twister attack. The attack collided with one another as the Twister began to gather electricity as if it had turned into an electrified tornado.
