Tilting his head slightly, Blade blinked slightly as Hitsu seemed to be sadden with what he said. He didn't really think that him leaving would have really mattered so much. So he rubbed the back of his neck and shifted a bit before speaking up again.
"No.. it's more of the opposite. I've caused enough trouble and pissed off enough people in one day really. Just from the way Yuki's been acting, it seems like things are tense and stressful enough as is for whatever reason."
Considering he was the stranger in the group, he thought it might be better if he were to go off on his own if he was causing more stress to the picture.

Riyo had been about to reply to Yuki with a 'Lets get the ******** out of here', when she heard a familiar voice calling her name. "M-mitsu?" She asked as the girl hugged her before she had a chance to fully realize what had happened. She looked down, arms raised up as like she didn't know what to do.
Then, a smile. Riyo carefully wrapped her arms around the smaller girl and returned the hug. She was beginning to understand why people did this. It was... Very comforting. But... How would Mitsu react to these new changes? Furthermore, how would she explain what happened to both her and Neko? Her smile faded at those thoughts. Mitsu probably wouldn't mind too much. But Neko... Her thoughts went back to a few nights prior back at the inn. She remembered.
"Mitsu... Do you remember the time I said I'd tell you about my childhood? About the bird?" She asked with a soft voice and looked down at the girl.
Atticus had been watching the whole time, only he was a little farther away than he had been. Sticking in the background. A bird, she said? Wait. He knew. He knew what she was talking about. He subconsciously looked toward the all-too-familiar hut, eyes narrowing slightly. The cards never have played out in his favor this lifetime. And Riyo living through her Mother's madness was just another piece of flawless misfortune. And another victory for the man who never stopped smiling.

hitsu hadn't been the only one to notice blade walking off. As soon as neko had answered her, poke had walked over to the theif and hitsu who was currently asking him. By the looks of things, it seemed as if he was about to leave.
"I don't believe yuki is stressed because of you" poke pointed out to blade. " he's more worried about riyo and the dragon dude. lets just give him some time to cool down and everything will be hunky dory. Besides, your arm isn't healed complety, right?"

As Yuki approached Neko went a little tense, especially once he asked his question. He honestly didn't want to talk about it but it seemed he was being put on the spot. "Mitsu got more of the details than I did." He tried to sound convincing. "But uhh...yeah." Neko seemed to be at a loss for words at the moment, which was rare indeed for the feline. That alone probably gave away the news that he was trying desperately to hide for the time being. Though sooner of later that news was going to become obvious knowledge.
Trying to avoid the conversation for the moment Neko spotted Hitsu and Poke over by Blade. Spinning on his heels he made an attempt at escape and headed off in their direction.
As Riyo hugged her back Mitsu smiled up at the taller girl and nodded to Yuki as he spoke. "Yes, I feel much better." Once Yuki was gone Riyo had addressed her asking her about the story she once told her. In truth she vaguely remembered. It was only a couple of days ago but the memories of those events were beginning to fade. In all reality Mitsu would have forgotten days ago why they were on the run if Yuki didn't keep reminding them that they had a hound on their tail.
"Yes," Mitsu gave a bit of a nod. "I remember." Mitsu looked up at the taller girl her large crimson eyes expectant and waiting for Riyo to continue the smile from their happy reunion never once beginning to fade from her face.

Mitsu's smile might've stayed, but Riyo's was quickly chased away by the words she was about to speak. She leaned in close to make sure every word would be heard. "I killed the bird, but I did not cripple it." Her voice was as low as a whisper by the time she finished.
She would never deny the fact that she had taken her Mother's life with her own hands... Quite literally. But... Riyo knew, and perhaps even the bird knew as well, who was really at fault.
But for now, she let that go. An image of what she suspected the scum to look like faded out ever so quietly. "This was my home, once upon a time..." She paused to look up at the village as a whole, not sorrow or regret in her eyes, but perhaps... Acceptance.
"What would you say... If I told you that everything you see and feel in this place was my doing?"

Mitsu listened intently as Riyo spoke, her first whispered words not entirely making sense. As Riyo released her hug Mitsu stepped back and looked out to the village as Riyo directed her attention to it. "Your home?" Well that was an odd term that Mitsu was somewhat unfamiliar with. Home. What was home?
Riyo had continued on leaving Mitsu to abandon her current thoughts. A question. Turning her attention back to Riyo Mitsu looked into her eyes and then looked back out into the village. So, to her understanding, Riyo was telling her that she had been the cause of all of this. The destruction....the murder. Now that word sounded familiar. Murder. Murder...."Murderer.." The word had rolled out of Mitsu's mouth in a faint whisper but her tone did not suggest that she was calling Riyo as such. Instead, it looked as though she were in thought, remembering something but she was barely able to grasp it.
"Well," Mitsu finally came to, her thoughts compiling together. "Riyo is different now." She stated a small smile working its way back onto her face. It was the only thing that made sense to her, Riyo had to be different now than she was then. Otherwise, wouldn't she have done the same to them all? And after spending so much time with Riyo and seeing her worry and care for them and give comfort it was hard to believe Riyo possessed an evil bone in her body.

Riyo's ears perked at the softly spoken word, her eyes quickly returning to Mitsu. It didn't appear to have been aimed at her... So what exactly was the girl thinking about?
... Something must've happened to her. Or perhaps she was the one who had done whatever it was. Either or, there was something locked up in that sweet little head, and if her assumptions were right, only time... Or perhaps disaster, would tell just what that was.
And then, the answer. 'Riyo is different now.' The little sentence echoed through her head, mingling with her earlier question of what she wanted. What did she want? Perhaps most of all, she wanted to prove her friend right.
But is that really what you want, Riyo? The familiar voice called from the back of her consciousness. To live one of those cliche lives where no matter what happens, you put these people who you've barely known first?
I just might...
"That's right, Mitsu... Riyo is different now..." She finally said with a sigh.

Mitsu gave a bit of a nod as Riyo confirmed what she had said. "Yes, Riyo is...." Mitsu trailed off as barking echoed from the other end of the village. "Different." Turning to see what it was Mitsu didn't have a clear view of anything at first. Then all of a sudden a medium small dog came bursting out of the forest chasing after a small rabbit it had apparently deemed as its meal. It chased the small creature in and around the huts keeping close on its tail but always out of reach.
Out of fear the rabbit made some evasive maneuvers and ran in between Blade and Hitsu's legs hoping to slow the dog down but apparently it did not. Charging forward the dog followed the rabbit's path and continued on without even a moments hesitation, its bark still ringing out in its chase.
Circling around Yuki the rabbit dashed into a hole just behind him and was gone leaving the dog to propel itself in Yuki's direction in an attempt to get to the rabbit before it got to far. No doubt the force of the leap would probably take Yuki's feet out from under him but the dog paid him no mind as he went about digging at the rabbit hole barking into it every once in a while as if threatening to rabbit to come out.
"Doggie?" Mitsu asked curiously moving a little closer to investigate.
However, her enthusiasm for the creature was not shared. As soon as Neko lay eyes on the red and tan beast he quickly backed up a look of disdain on his face. "What the hell?!" From his angle it looked as though the dog had attacked Yuki but it was quickly proven that wasn't the case.

Turning towards Poke as she approached him and Hitsu, Blade listened to what she had to say. He couldn't help but shift slightly at the mention of 'dragon dude' even if he knew who that was referring to exactly.
"Yeah my arm isn't completely healed yet but it's a lot better than it was two nights ago. But alright. I'll stick around for now."
Just as he finished speaking, he noticed a blur of fur dart through his legs. Blinking at this, he saw that it was a rabbit. And before he could see why the little critter was bolting around like that, he felt something larger run right into the back of his legs, effectively knocking him onto his back.
"Ough! What the hell!?"

"Yuki's just nervous, we've had a lot of weird things happening to us recently..." Hitsu replied, frowning. "I really don't think that it's your fault." She smiled lightly when Blade had decided to stick around. "Good, the more the merrier." For travel, at least. If they had to be stuck out in the middle of nowhere, might as well make new friends along the way.
Then came the barking. It was faint at first, and Hitsu blinked as she looked out into the forest. "What's that?" She questioned. A dog, obviously. Or, maybe, a wolf? She jumped lightly when the rabbit burst out of the foliage, and gave a startled yelp when the dog followed behind. It seemed only seconds later that she was picking herself up off the ground, trying to catch her breath. She stared, wide-eyed, at the dog as it ran yapping forward. "That is one determined dog..."
"Yeah... What?" Yuki had said slowly, eying Neko dangerously. He could only assume the worst, and Neko's lack of additional confirmation or denial only helped to set in that idea. "Well, that's just great." He muttered flatly to himself, before his attention was torn away from Neko at the sound of shouts and barks. He jerked to look over his shoulder, and immediately upon turning around he'd come face-to-face... Well, maybe face-to-shin... With the one causing all of the commotion. He hadn't even seen the rabbit, but that didn't matter. The dog had gone bounding after it and sent a third person crashing to the ground.
"What else!?" Yuki shouted from the ground, rolling over and propping himself up for a moment with his elbows. "What else is going to go wrong!? Just get it over with now, for the love of GOD!" As he complained, he brought himself back to his feet. He took one, brief look at the dog digging furiously at the rabbit burrow, drew back a foot, and let loose a swift kick at the four-legged pest.

Having been so determined and focused on his task the dog never saw his attacker make a move and let out a shrill yelp as it too made amends with the ground. Shuffling to its feet it began to edge away from Yuki, head lowered and tail between its legs whimpering in its submission.
"Yuki!" For once it had been Mitsu to yell out first in protest to Yuki's actions as she ran toward the dog and knelt down toward it. At first the dog shied away afraid this person was going to harm him just the same as the last one, but then her scent caught his nose. A familiar scent that perked his interest to draw him closer to Mitsu and investigate. "It's okay," Mitsu said softly patting the dog on the head lightly checking him over for injuries.
He looked a little rough over all but he didn't seem to be hurt, just scared. After a few moments of inspection the dog finally interrupted Mitsu by licking the side of her face causing her to laugh a little. Wiping the side of her face lightly Mitsu drew closer to the dog to pet it.
"Mitsu get away from that thing," Neko barked as he approached reaching out and grabbing Mitsu by the arm and jerking her to her feet. "That thing could be ridden with disease." Now who was being the nanny goat?
Mitsu's only response was to jerk her arm away from Neko a little more forcibly than was needed. She gave him a bit of a scornful look before she defiantly sat back down and started showing the dog attention again. Looks like she was learning from Hitsu well.

Getting back to his feet, Blade rubbed his shoulder gingerly as he looked to see the one that had bowled him over. The dog had also knocked down Hitsu and Yuki. A determined canine it certainly was.
"Good to hear I'm welcomed here... for the time being at least," he said as a delayed reply to Hitsu.
Watching some of the others deal with the stray for awhile, he wondered what it had been doing out here in the first place. At least he was fairly certain it was a stray. He didn't remember spotting a collar of any sort on it, and even so, it wasn't as if it'd belong to anyone that lived in this village. But he couldn't help but feel a little bad for the dog as Yuki kicked it to the ground.
"Any idea where it came from? There aren't any other villages really close by are there?"

Riyo quietly watched the dog as it ran through the maze of huts, covering her mouth as it dove under the legs of Hitsu and Blade, and eventually knocking Yuki down all for a rabbit. Oh, she knew the feeling of doing anything for a meal.
And while she sort of understood Yuki's frustration... Keyword 'sort of', there was absolutely no need for what he did. The dog's yelp made her ears stand on edge, and her eyes narrow.
She followed Mitsu over to the scene, but did so at a slower pace. "So Yuki." She started to say as she stopped and looked down at the dog. "What would you do if I punched you in the stomach for say... Breathing?" It seemed like a stupid question, but it looked like she was going somewhere with this. "Because, as far as I'm concerned, it'd be about the same thing as what you did to that creature." She wasn't planning on it, but her fists balled up subconsciously.
"It was only trying to do what it needed to survive. For all you know, that rabbit could've been the only food it's been close to catching in days." It appeared that the cold-hearted killer had a place for beasts somewhere in there. And it wasn't far from the truth... Perhaps, pity was a better word for it. Living a life full of nothing but trying to stay alive. A simple one... But not satisfying in the least.

"good to hear blade" poke responded, but thenall thoughts were interupted once the rabbit sped past. Poke had just a few seconds to contemplate before she had to jump out of the way of the dog. It wasn't one of the large breeds, so she didn't have to worry to much about it attacking her. Although it did bowl over yuki for a one over...
watching mitsu with the dog, she came to the realisation that it was proably normal for someone to like and get along with dogs so well if they were, technicaly part dog. It could be said the same for yuki and hitsu with cats, and herself for otters.
"hey, you don't have to kick the poor animal!" poke called out at yuki had kicked the smallish dog. It seemed a little extreme when all the animal had di was jump on him...

Yuki was taken aback by the three girls as they proceeded to shout at him for kicking the dog. It was a dog and he was a cat... Didn't the analogy of the hate come to mind? At least, that would have been his excuse if he didn't know already that it wouldn't do him any good. "I... I, uh..." He stared at Riyo, at a loss. He'd lost prey before, but being as they were all that really needed to be done was to go out and purchase something to make up for it. He supposed that it would be difficult to only be able to rely on what you could catch, or be left to go hungry. He too stared at the dog for a moment, before retaliation for his action came at him for a fourth time.
Needless to say, Hitsu had seen her brother strike the dog as well. "Yuki!" She shouted, her angry expression was only a hint of what was to come when she approached him. She approached him quickly, and stood in front of him trying to look intimidating... Which was, really, not something that she could manage. Though, after a moment at the two glaring right at one another, Hitsu hauled off and kicked him in the shin.
Yuki, of course, cried out in pain and nearly fell over for a second time. He managed to brace himself, on Neko as it turned out. "What the hell was that for!?" He demanded, look murderous.
"How do you like it!?" She replied, only to turn her back on him before he'd had time to formulate an answer. "Poor little guy, he's probably starving." She knelt down, but didn't approach Mitsu or the dog, he was afraid enough as it was.
Then, Neko had moved toward Mitsu, and Yuki gingerly tried to walk on his throbbing leg again. "It's just a stray dog, it's probably not going to last long out here anyway." He muttered, looking at it with disgust.
"Oh, get off it." Hitsu had replied to both of the men. "He's not diseased. He was probably somebody's pet, I wonder how he got all the way out here?" She looked up to Blade, and gave a shrug. "Didn't Hanse say that the next town was a couple of days from here? Maybe he wandered off from his home and got lost."
