Kimiko blinked staring at the page blankly. This was going to be harder than she thought. She could read all the words...but they were just so...so...dull, that her mind kept wandering. 8x8(4-8274a)+6= ARRRGH! She razzled her own head with both hands her temper already getting tested. "Oooh, how do people read this stuff... but she gave another sigh, she couldn't thrown in the towel, no way, no how. She had to just keep at it like everything else. The brain was just like a muscle right? So she would just keep working it till it caught up with the rest.

For some reason for just a moment, Kimiko could've sworn she heard the sound of sizzling eggs coming from where he brain should be, but she shrugged it off as her imagination. She just glued her eyes back to the page. She was going to do this...she was going to do this. If her mom could read these books so could she...her eyes now seemed on fire again as she fixed them on the words she was perusing. She just had to remember, she wasn't doing this for nothing, she had to pump up her noggin if she was going to catch up with her nemesis. She'd get her brain in top condition, then she'd learn those stupid academy jutsu...then how to walk up trees, and then...! She blinked....right, focusing on the book...

Kimiko's eyes had somehow become spirals, her head swaying from side to side as she blankly tried to snap out of it. "Ohhhhh, this stuff is so....spiritless..." she puffed up her cheeks returning to her normal face with a pout. "There's got to be a better way to do thiiiiis...."
Suddenly a face appeared in her minds eye 'Oh of course,' Her nemesis's imagined voice mocked 'Go back to bashing your fists against wood, maybe you'll make the cut as a Lumber jack.'
Her face seemed filled with fire again "Maboroshi! I've gotta do this so I can finally wipe that stupid smirk of his face once and for all!!" She nodded to herself over and over again then once again forced her eyes to the page, she was gonna do this, she WAS going to do this!

A breeze picked up around him, Kasuke couldn't help but let his emotions roll on his skin through the cool air, it was so natural he didn't even pay attention to his wind manipulation anymore. He picked another rock form his feet, and attached a tag quickly, he didn't bother putting chakra on the tag. He knew that putting chakra in the tags wasn't the correct technique. He probably just liked feeling the energy on his fingertips. Throwing the rock off into the distance he didn't hear an explosion and shrugged.

Ito slowly walks to the training ground, still in Shock from what he saw at the acadamy. "How could this happen, There was no way anyone would attack in brod daylight." Ito thinks to himself. Finally the training ground was in sight, maybe now Ito could find someone to teach him. Ito walks and sees what he assumes to be a sparing match. Ito looks for a place to sit and watch. Finally a bench that was say 10 feet away from where he was came into view, Ito ran towards it and began to watch the battle with great intrest.

(Longer post!)
Kasuke felt like the old days, when he sat training in the sun. Something so simple like this, was exactly what he needed after this past week. He picked up a rock and set the tag with a bubbly attitude. Hopping a bit to throw the rock farther than he had before. Gravity seem worthless to him. The tag combusted in the distance like the fire-works he enjoyed at festivals. He was no pyrotechnic but the sight was beautiful like this, in the morning sky. He fell lightly to the cleanly cut grass, and watched the clouds disperse where he had flung the rock. The air being eaten by the fire, and heating. A great wind would probably be up there with the temperature differences.

The Kage's hat upside down beside his feet, Kasuke felt like a child skipping stones in the water for the first time. He grabbed another tag, and set it fast on the tag. He seemed to have the hang of this, it was only a D rank jutsu after all. Nothing too hard for the Otokage. He threw the rock into the distance. Watching it vanish. It went so far this time that when he didn't hear anything he couldn't help think it was because he threw it out of earshot, not because he hadn't exploded the tag. Whatever the cause he didn't care, the man easily smiled to himself in his joy.

Kasuke had to search for a moment to find another rock. A long thin one presented itself and he quickly attached the tag. Throwing it up high, he squinted and saw a small dot arch down. "Hmm..." Maybe he hadn't gotten it as quickly as he had thought. It was a bit sad him failing so horribly with these tags. He really should have learned the technique much earlier. The kage stopped for a second. Holding the tags in his hand, the sun peaked over the tip of Mt. Oto as if the sun were rising once again. He had to pull up his hand to block the light, but tried to watch the mystical energy source grow in the sky. Light danced on his face as the shadows of leaves waved in the wind. The man dropped his gaze to the ground and walked the edge of the hot springs, steam lifted a few feet into the cool morning air. He grabbed another rock and set a tag on it. Yawning a bit, Kasuke thrust the rock into the sky, it rippled high above him, soaring into the atmosphere and cutting holes in the clouds it passed through. high above the world, the rock slowed dipping back and hurdling quickly out towards the other side of Mt. Oto. Kasuke tried to catch a glimpse of it, and totally forgot to set off the tag. He sighed after at least 20 seconds where it would have been long gone.

kasuke picked a rock once more, using his last seal. He attached it to the rock and let it fly far away where he aimed. It felt like playing catch from a mountain away. He saw the rock off in the distance, and sent a small burst of chakra. There was nothing, and he rolled his eyes. Turning back toward the dojo, he grabbed his kage hat and slung it over his back. He didn't bother going through the dojo and simply jumped onto the roof. Staying high above the roof tops the young Kage looked down over his village the morning bustle waking and sending noise throughout. He headed toward the village center. Kimiko turned from page to page...she just...couldn't read this...it was so impossible... she- Suddenly a gust of wind blew through and many off the books she brought with her were almost blown away, saved only by her own reflexes. She caught the books, surprised that such a gust to blow away all these large texts would be possible lest a gale force hurricane was in the area, but as the wind died down, Kimiko noticed something...odd. There, before her lap in the place where the dull book had been, was a strange book she didn't remember bringing with her. Strangely enough this seemed the only book that hadn't been about to blow away. Stacking all the books to the side of her, ready to protect them from another gust, she turned her attention now to the book in front of her.... she tilted her head slightly...
On the cover, the book said...Kino's Journey. The Dark haired girl blinked in the utmost curiosity as she reached for it. She picked it up and opened the cover... "In dedication and memorial to wonderful and bizarre adventures to the girl with the inherited name."
Kimiko looked on the first page...and started to read...

Kimiko turned away from the book. This...this was a fantasy wasn't it... should she still be reading it...she had to train... yes... she nodded shutting the book. Yes that was all there was too it, she had to train and that was all there was to it. She started to reach for one of the text books... Could it be that... she frowned slightly. She turned her eyes slowly back to the book. She really couldn't remember a book like this being here just a second ago...she hadn't brought it from home, she was almost certain...then how...
Her curiosity was now a powerful monster, looming up over her like a colossus... she finger trembled slightly....and she reached for the mysterious book...

Kimiko found herself reading the book, her eyes curiously examining the first page...
Kimiko blinked, almost immediately sucked in. The book it seemed, was all about a girl, who while dressed as a boy, was still obviously a girl and not bothering to hide the fact, she, it seemed, was a traveler, going across a nameless world with countless countries all of which were the size of cities. Along with her talking Motorcycle Hermes and the help of some odd things she called "Guns" she traversed the bizarre world...but... as Kimiko read the first chapter, she was surprised to find this book was oddly...deep. The first country that Kino came upon was one where everyone stayed away from one another, and robots did all the work. The reason for this? Apparently all the people of this country could read minds, and so just so they could no longer feel one another's pain, no longer have to worry about being laid bare before one another, stayed away from each other always...
Kino met one of these people and talked to them, they were grateful that he couldn't hear her thoughts, and she couldn't hear his. The man explained to her the history of the country, and that because no children were being born their country would soon die out, leaving only the robots, content to be an eternal hamlet for always welcome travelers... Kino bid the man fare well...and continued her journey...
Kimiko set down the book for a moment...her mind suddenly swimming with thoughts...

Kimiko stared blankly out of the grassy field before her, two older Genin sparing int he distance. She put a finger to her chin and thought to herself quizzically. 'This book...it's so...strange.' she pondered the first chapter, which was very much like a story unto itself. 'I think...maybe...this book may be good for training after all... I mean...' she looked down at the book. 'It's strange...but, I don't think I'd like it reading every ones mind either...You'd always know what everyone was thinking...and...there'd be no balance...I guess it would be fine for people who don't have anything to hide...but sometimes it's best people don't know certain things... I think...' she seemed slightly confused. 'OOOOoooh, I'm not sure...'
