Finally, Arlen set his empty glass down beside his empty bowl, and sat back a bit. "That was delicious," he said, kissing Lily's cheek. "Thank you."

"I'm glad you like it, and that you're well enough to eat again." Lily answered with a smile, kissing his cheek in return. "Want anything else, or are you full?"

"I could eat more, but I don't think that'd be wise," Arlen said, turning to face Master Guan and leaning oh so gently against Lily.
"Oh, so you're talking to me now," Guan said, with mock surprise. "Yes, we must talk, but privately. So we can do it in your room or mine."

"Privately... does that mean I'm stuck down here on dish duty?" Lily asked, putting her chin on Arlen's shoulder, one hand absently rubbing his back as she watched Guan.

"No." Arlen and Guan said at the same time, though Arlen was much more insistent about it.
"I would actually prefer you to join in this conversation," Guan said calmly.

"Oh good." Lily murmured, kissing Arlen's cheek and giving him a quick hug. "I hate secrets." she smiled a little, then cleared her throat. "Our room's a little... messy." she admitted. "I don't pick up my clothes sometimes... could we use yours, Guan?"

"That would be fine," Guan said standing up and leading the way.
"When did Master Guan arrive here?" Arlen whispered to Lily as he followed him upstairs.

"A day or two before you got sick and saw him." Lily answered rather guiltily, taking Arlen's arm as they climbed. "He asked me not to tell you... he wanted to do it himself. I'm sorry..."

"It's alright," Arlen assured her, putting a hand over hers. "I'm sure he has his reasons."
"Indeed I do," Guan said, opening the door to his room. "In you go." The room was exactly like when Lily had visited, except it now contained a wooden blocking dummy in one corner.

Lily gave both men a smile, then pulled gently away from Arlen, taking a seat near the wall after she'd entered. "Ooh... that's new." she murmured, looking at the dummy with some interest.

Guan nods to Lily. "It's actually quite old. Anyways, have a seat both of you," he said, gesturing to his sleeping mat as he sat on the floor nearby.
Arlen sat down as directed. "What do you want to talk about?"

When Arlen sat, Lily scooted towards him, laying her head on his shoulder. She didn't speak, simply trained her eyes on Guan, listening intently.

River, not meaning to barge in on anything, pushed the inn's door open and glanced around, the warmth making her feel extreamly sick as it hit her. This made her lean forward a moment holding her stomach before closing the door with shaky hands, softly mumbling to herself to get some cold drink before she died.
"..G-good afternoon.." She mustered tirdly as she trudged over to the sink, turning the cold water on to run her hands under, sighing deeply as it hit her rapidly warming skin, which she didn't enjoy at all. Eyes fading into a lighter navy blue as this happened.
"...I..am going to sleep.." She said slowly, before weakly shutting the water off and sliding to the floor where she stood, leaning onto the cabnets, huddling into the cornner, a peiceful expression on her face as she sighed, shifting.

"I have already spoken to Lily, and she tells me that you had gained the White Flame, and then lost it," Guan said.
Arlen nodded. "That's about right. It's not like the book you gave me was much help."
"Well, why don't you tell me what happened when you lost the ability and I can help you."

Lily bit her lip at that, remembering the spirit. It was in the room with them as well; she could feel it, very faintly. "That was... kind of my fault." she murmured, ducking her head.
